"So this is them?" Henry asked, his voice colder than ever, he tried to stay calm and keep an expressionless face but his voice had an edge to it, Anrea smirked eternally, she just hit the bull's-eye...

"Yes, as you predicted before, there are only ten of them, but we also found these...." she pointed her fingers toward a set of a fifty...well he did not know what were these things, they just looked giant crossbows, only that instead of shooting a single arrow at time these would shoot a thousand, the arrows were placed on the center but their tips were slightly divergent, that explains the large range they were targeting as well as the blind attacks, Henry thought...

"What else did you find on them?" he asked, studying the men's appearances closely, some had silver armors on them, the others though kept their c.h.e.s.ts n.a.k.e.d, like a portion of those on the beach, and why were there only a hundred of them?

"Burn the bodies, as for the crossbows, we need to move them, change their direction" Henry ordered, the demons, even though they were slightly annoyed by his tone obeyed his orders, the young king may be young but he certainly has a lot of brain under that skull of his, unlike humans who appreciated status and wealth, demons were more fond of power and capability, and the human king even if lacking in terms of strength, compared to a demon of course, was very capable, smart and not to mention brave, these were the characteristics that made a ruler for them and earned him respect, thus, respect was what they were giving him...

"Move them where?" one of the demons asked, Henry who was deep in thoughts looked at him for few seconds before pointing his finger into a specific direction, following his finger the demons looked to where he was pointing, once they saw it, realisation sank in there minds..

"I believe i better call the rest of the forces then?" it was Andrea who spoke, Henry only nodded stiffly, he was not exactly comfortable in her company, not after what she told him...

Once she left, a demon approached Henry, he was the very same young demon that attacked him in the ship, the demon cleared his throat awkwardly before glancing down at the bodies...

"Your highness, what do think they are? " the boy asked, weird enough, Henry thought, but nonetheless he chose to answer him...

"They are humans, more specifically priests from the holy tower"

"But... how come?and how come they are so strong?" the boy asked clearly surprised..

"

"Humm, well there were always this rumor that if a priest is devoted enough for the gods his soul would join the Gods in the center of the world, i don't know how but i think that is what happened, the gods chose their most loyal servants to keep serving them, blessing them with excessive strength and lifespan"

"You mean they become immortal?" the demon asked, something slowly building in the back of his mind like a poisonous plant

"Their leader, Mao, he was supposed to be dead centuries ago and his story become a legend in the human world, but still here he was, looking young and very much alive... i'am not sure it was immortality they were granted but they definitely live linger than all of us, that also explains why there are only a hundred of them" seeing the question written all over the boys face, the king continued his explanation while the rest of the them listened carefully while some mind linked the others, after all sharing information was vital in this war as they all came to realize by now...

"The Gods never liked sharing, that is what started this whole conflict thousands of years ago right? so they can have immortality using the creation energy to suck life from us, they only gave these peasants the scraps of what remained to defend them, they only chose the most loyal ones, only a hundred, to keep them under control and to not waste too much of the creation energy on them" Henry explained, it was very reasonable and made sense even while being his pure assumptions, a demon then asked the very question that he was trying to answer but couldn't.... why would the gods need humans to protect them? why the sea creatures and the fog and the seal and now the priests, couldn't they just fight them off themselves?

"Oh here they are... " the little demon announced, Henry glanced behind him to see the army led by Rima approaching them with Andrea behind her, Rima had a worried look on her face, she smiled at him once their eyes met, as usual her smile was so warm and sincere he felt his heart being pulled out, he wanted to deny what the other woman told him but something inside told him it wasn't all a lie, not being able to keep looking at her eyes, he turn around leaving a stunned Rima to stare painfully at his back...
