Eren stared unblinkingly to the unconscious Sara, since the harsh torture session she received from Geraldine a week ago she didn't return to the waking world, afraid that she will never wake up he personally nursed her back to health, treating her wounds and slipping nourishing liquids through her mouth, he hardly believed he had to take care of this silly girl once more, he smiled to himself, it is all for my plan.. only to get what i want, he thought..

He never thought she will be there, after all the holy council was an equal danger to the girl, but that king was able to make a move under everyone's noses, forcing the council to protect her discretely, it was cheer luck what got him to discover her place, that day when Sara was attacked in the forbidden section he was randomly passing by the demonic gate from his side..

The demonic gate was a connecting object created by old dark magic, just like a gate that joint two places, it was a pair object that took many shapes, stones, arms, books, only few were made but they were impossible to destroy, right after their defeat, the demons planted their gates in the human world to keep an eye on them until it is time to strike again, the one he inherited from his ancestors took the form of a book yet it was discovered by humans, due to the impossibility of destroying it they kept it hidden in the holly tower, that day he was only passing by the corridors of his library when he sensed agony on the other side of the gate, it was weird since the gate was inactive for years which caught his attention, there were fear, struggle, darkness, evil, once the gate was opened he used his magic to absorb that darkness, disappointed in the mere human soul he consumed, he intended to leave before a pair of rainy eyes stared at him through the gate...

His blood red eyes met the pure rainy ones, and just like the odds attract each other the light coming from her attracted his darkness and the same way around, he possessed her in that moment, unfortunately he couldn't absorb her in like he did to the human which confirmed his doubts, this was none than the hybrid he was looking for...

It was a problem for him, the holy tower was protected by ancient magic, he would lose his demonic characteristics and powers, how to get her out was the question, counting only on his human physical strength wasn't wise even if he was so strong as a human, during his plotting, fortunately or unfortunately, the possession was gone which meant that the girl left the tower..

this time it took him 6 months to find her, and again it was no where else but the most unexpected place, the shack she was born in, literally right under his nose, not knowing what the girl was exactly capable of he made the whole saving scene, gaining her trust little by little, getting to know her, he didn't take her to his palace even after finding out she had no power to resist or fight, the timing was an elementary factor in his plan and back then, not only he didn't want to alert the humans, but also he didn't trust the alliances he made with the other two empires, not that he does now, he didn't trust anyone, but he managed to gain the upper hand, with the amount of human souls he kidnapped and consumed, his darkness was unapproachable and he made sure the other two lords new that, even with half blood he managed to be stronger than the pure ones...

His plan was running smoothly, he managed to get the hybrid right in time, everything was in place, only if this stupid girl didn't show so much resistance, he has been torturing her in order to wake her dormant godly blood, the one he needs, by pushing her beyond the edge of human endurance, but it has been a month now and the girl is still a human, nothing worked on her, the pain, the extreme cold and heat, the starvation, the deprivation of sleep and rest, the mental torture, nothing worked... the girl was still on some kind of denial, believing he is her prince charming...
