The Princess And The Demon

While the ice queen slept leisurely in the Taghit's king bed, the other two lords were standing against each other in a deep spot of the dark forest, one of them held a surprised yet calm expression, while the other stared at his supposed to be ally with sheer hostility, there was no use of faking friendliness anymore...

"Lost, lord Micka?" asked the irritated Eren...

"You were quick to discover my little game, i'am almost impressed" the hint of mockery didn't go unnoticed by Eren

Micka knew all along that Eren found out about his little meeting with Geraldine the other night, and probably about his plan to snatch the hybrid girl from his grip, of course, he had his own reasons to do so and not at all what he explained to the silly shadow demoness, but what he didn't see coming is him not being raged and occupied by his supposed to be future wife's treason and yet following him up here, the girl was somewhere in these woods and he needed to get to her first and fast, but that only meant fighting the shadows lord in his lands, and that was anything but a wise move....

"Don't you have better things to do?" the indirect expel was abvious from Eren's tone, he was only few inches away from throwing the fire fox out of his lands, ally or not, he was not gonna let anyone lay a hand on Sara...

"The better things to do are somewhere around here" Micka's said with an evil smile, seemed like the only way to get the girl was to fight this man, even with the land disadvantage, this was his best chance if not the only, and he was not willing to waste it...

Eren sensed the drastic change in atmosphere immediately, the woods were getting warmer and the air heavier, Micka was acc.u.mulating his energy to attack him, things escalated quicker as he predicted which only meant his suspicions about the lord of the flames deep were right, to go this far as to attack another lord in his lands and he had a hidden agenda all along ...

Not wasting a second, Eren gathered the shadows of the forest around him, if he was going to fight fire magic he needed to be well protected, the fire element after all was the most destructive, the white in his eyes turned into deep black making his red iris looking more malicious, his body grew bulkier, his legs and arms grew longer and bigger with sharp claws replacing his clean nails and his once delicate lips turned into a wolf's gob with a deathly set of sharp canines, the terrifying wolf man surrounded with liquid darkness growled at Micka who had shapeshifted as well, turning himself into a walking flame, fire covered every inch of his body, the two lords charged directly at each other, Eren with his high speed evaded the fire shots from Micka while the last stopped the dark tentacles attacking him with a wall of fire, even in his lands, Eren knew the fire lord was hard to defeat...

The exchange of attacks continue, as Micka felt his powers being drained quickly which was not the case of his opponent since these were his lands, he set the whole area around him on fire, isolating Eren from his main power sorce while reinforcing his own, trapping the shadows mouse, Micka thought...

Eren was indeed slightly taken aback, for the fire lord to go to these extents meant he was opposing the whole shadow demons and not just himself, the alliance was not a possibility any longer after such grave violation to the dark forest, there was nothing left but animosity...

"What is your real purpose Micka? what do you really want? " Eren asked, his shadows growing weaker after being isolated, his breathing shallower from the smoke and heat..

"Everything... " Micka answered, a mad smile flickering on his fiery face, gathering a huge condensed ball of fire and unleashing it toward Eren...

For few seconds, there was nothing around him but flames, and not a single sign of life, the attack drained him almost dry, but it was worth it, he finally got rid of the shadows peasant hybrid lord..

Thinking it was truly over, Micka didn't bother to extinguish the fire and turned to leave, but before he could take two steps, a grip pierced through his back and appeared from his c.h.e.s.t...

The fire lord had no chance to look back at Eren who was badly injured yet very much alive, the fire grew smaller and Micka's limb n.a.k.e.d body fell to the ground once Eren pulled his grip out of his c.h.e.s.t...

Eren g.r.o.a.n.e.d in pain, he was very damaged from Micka's attack but there was no time to rest, not while Sara is out in these woods all alone...
