The Princess And The Demon

Chapter 82 - Exposed?

"You are not Henry, You are not Henry, YOU ARE NOT HENRY!!!!"

With that loud scream, Rima finally managed to break free from the illusion, at first she expected that she will be faced by an enem but to her surprise it was actually one of her own followers, understanding slowly seeped to her mind as she observed his lost gaze, all of their lost gazes while being busy hurting each other or themselves, as Rima observed closer, they all looked as if they were, hypnotized, lost in their own worlds of pain and regrets, so that was the trick than, Rima smirked to herself, noticing the heavy fog that formed around them, it wasn't there before she started hallucinating, no wonder they were stuck in the sea for all this long, no, not in the sea, but in an illusion...

How did it work though?, how did her demon eyes fall for the mirage? it was impossible unless the potion had some side effects, could be, after all the girl was only half a god and not a full one, maybe as well as her resistance they gained some of her weaknesses and fragility, her human side, of course it was no time to test theories now as her comrades were busy trying to kill each other...

While trying to came up with the best strategy to escape this situation, Rima's sharp mind also rang with a thought, if the fog is what caused their hallucinations, ones that dug their fears and regrets and used it against them, then it must be controlled by someone, if this was the case, it means the gods already knew they were there, but why didn't they attack them directly, maybe they didn't know the exact location? could be, her demon eyes showed her that the fog spreadfor miles around them in all directions, but why send a fog? why not attack them with a lethal blow?the gods had the creation energy itself in their hands, they could literally set the whole sea on fire, something was off and she just couldn't point it out...

Rima was pulled out of her thoughts when ywo of her comrades nearly fell in the water while fighting each other, shaking her head to focus on the task in hand, she gathered a minimum amount of energy toward her, if they can use fog than so can she, she was the ice queen after all, winter was a part of her and fog was a part of winter...

Very slowly, a layer of frost started forming on her comrades bodies, the frost spread around them forming cocoons that immobilized them immediately, some tried to struggle but she was of a higher level tham all of them combined making their attempts futile....

With the first step of her plan done, Rima carefully thought about the next one, deciding to safely take a risk, she spread her arms, creating her own fog that mixed itself with the gods'one, noticing her comrades it seemed to work a little, their struggles were slightly calmed, foging her fog in several silhouettes, she send em in different directions, the silhouettes were charged with energy, Rima realised she was exposing their attack right now but she had a feeling that the gods already knew, following that feeling, she camouflaged her energy leaving the silhouettes to roam freely around the sea distracting who ever is watching them from their actual position...

The rest was to peddle, peddle a boat with six grown demons all by herself till god knows when, she was not that strong physically but with her comrades still trapped in their illusions she had no other choice.. holding the peddle tightly in her hand, she started swinging it with eyes filled with determination..
