Early morning, Alex just finish his morning exercise when his phone alerted him to an incoming call. He pick up the phone to see the name of the caller and the name made him smile. Skye Evans.

Skye Evans was his adopted daughter of sort, She was 14 when he found her begging in the street of France in the year 1998. He help the little kid and offered to adopt her but she was a strong headed kid and decline the offer, she ask him for help in getting a proper education instead, now 10 years later, the prodigious kid acquired Doctorates in both Business and Economics and as a graduation gift to her, He made her the head of his company the Space Exploration Company or SEC for short, an aerospace manufacturer and space transportation company. They may not have a bond similar to a father and daughter but still he was proud of the little kid also she knew that he can do magic but nothing else.

He answered the phone and said "Hello Kiddo, what can I do for you this lovely morning"

"Alex, first off...don't call me kiddo and secod have you seen the news!" Skye ask with concern.

He frown and Ask "No, I haven't why?"

"There's an Alien invasion going on and all of our Deep space Surveillance was destroyed except for the Rune Variants" she shouted from the other side.

"...I did engrave runes for stealth in the Satellite so theres no risk of them being exposed but still..." Alex muttered as he open the tv and watch as a white tripod looking things from the war of the worlds keep shooting down laser beams at the military convoy in the area.

"This is troubling.." Alex said as he tries to remember what event this was on the comics, he thought for awhile until he remembered a certain cartoon movie, he use to watch...

"The Imperium..." Alex couldn't help but mutter.

"The what now?" Skye questioned, Alex shook his head and said "The Imperium was a civilization of space-faring, shapeshifting, parasitic conquerors who are ruled by a single, bulbous mass." explained Alex.

"And you knew them because? Oh...wait don't answer that....so what do you want me to do?" Ask Skye. He smiled at her and replied "The bracelet I gave you should be enough to protect you from any harm and a special feature in the bracelet will transport you here in my home If you get injured so just stay home and I'll see what I can do about this invasion kay? Oh and also I'll send Bast over there to protect you"

Skye accepted, she already knew Alex was no ordinary man the first time they met especially since he can do things they can't and also to spend time with an adorable Bast would also be great.

Years of experimentation with runes and technology has led Alex into mastering technomancy, an entirely new branch of science and magic combined together to create marvelous things.

After sending the panther to Skye, Alex quickly got dress in his Battle gear, which consisted of an attire reminiscent of a dark version of Captain America Winter soldier suit but except of a star, a red assassin's creed symbol sported the c.h.e.s.t, a half mask similar to the winter soldier that cannot be taken off by other except him covers his face, has filtration rune and lastly a shielding rune for the eyes.

The suit was just an ordinary kevlar weave because he didn't really need that much protection, instead Runes are etched into the suit to repair itself when damage.

He wore gloves that has a retractable Claw and grappling hooks and can release an electric shock that has enough power to fry a man to crisp, his weapon was a new and Improve Rune Variant of AR-15 with the same function and improve firepower thanks to studying guns in the couple of years.

A small pack was strap on his back with the same enchantment as the suit and magic satchel, it carried a lot of rune Variants of demolition bombs, grenades and everything else that he may need for survival then lastly a dagger, the very same one he received in Valhalla with added mods..

Seeing that he was ready Alex decided to teleport to his first target, France.

Arriving in Ground zero of France made him grimace as the streets were destroyed and buildings were burned to the ground.

He jump into the nearest building and made use of his claws, he then scale it with relative ease and arrive at the top safely. He spotted one of the tripods that seems to be roaming around the perimeter just by itself and got his gun out, he use one of his more destructive ammunition and snipe the walking tripod.

He pulled the trigger and hit the tripod right in the center but idn't even budge.

"Shit!" he jump away just in time as the laser beam hit his previous location, he frown and made his way inside the next building to hide.

"The ammunition didn't even faze the tripod, it seems like the tripods could have incorporated the Martians ability to shape shift maybe that's also the reason why superman had a hard time punching those things in the show as Martians can easily shift their density to be much harder" Alex muttered as he look outside the window as the tripod wreak havoc all over the place.

"I must destroy it quickly or else a lot more people are going to get killed." He said with resolve as he then vacated the building to move to a much higher vantage point to observe the tripod.

"Let's see...according to the cartoon the Imperium weakness was a flower of some sort...and sunlight?... right! that's it! sunlight because they spend to much time in deep space that they don't have much protection from UV rays, that's must be also the reason why they're blotting out the sun..." Alex said with a grin."well then let's see if Light magic has similar effects as the sun..."

He then form a hand sign and suck in the energies from the Earth as he imagine the effect he needed, gathering enough energy he releases them all to the sky and chanted "*Let the flames of Sol reach the earth!*".

The ground trembled at the release of a huge energy and a magic circle appeared up above the sky, Gold Runes trace this magic circle and stretched quite a bit with the factory at its center, a huge ray of light shine down like a smite of god at the factory and burned down the tripods.

Alex grinned at the result, as the tripod and the factory was melted. he then gave his silent thanks to Sól, the personification of the sun in Norse Myth, for the use of Flames of Sól, a low tier Magic skill created by the Asgardian Women to combat the cold that Jötunhiemr brings but... for the mortals it may as well be a god-tier magic.

Seeing that the job was finish although anticlimactic, he still has other country to worry about but now that he knew how to defeat them this will be just another walk in the park for Alex.

"Hmm...in the tv show only three location was shown that has a factory but here it seems like every major city was affected."Alex muttered as he just finish destroying a factory set in Canada. "The one in Metropolis should be the last one." he added.

He then teleported into Metropolis only to see a huge ship came down from the sky and hover right above the the factory.

A Giant blob float down from the ship that made him frown "that must be the Imperium..."

He look at the factory then at the ship then arrive to a conclusion "let's see I should be able to reach the ship and plant the bombs in them without anyone noticing me."

He jump to the factory and claw his way up to the top, he heard a scream so he peak at the hole, Martian Manhunter was being tortured by the Blob and Alex grimace at that.

He proceeded to put low powered charges in the ceiling of the factory and grapple his way to the ship, he place the remaining high powered ones in the ship and jump down just in time for the factory to release a white blue light up above the sky that cleared it for the sun to shine.

"Batman must have reverse the ION charge... then it's time for me to move, I can't let them see me" Alex said as he teleported to the nearest rooftop and watch as the Justice League free themselves, taking their escape as a cue he press the trigger and blew up the ceiling of the factory.

He watch as the Imperium skin burned at the sun's ray as it hurriedly tries float up to its ship. Alex didn't give it a chance to escape and push the second trigger and blew up the ship which cause the Imperium to fall back from the explosion.

Martian Manhunter then grab its tentacles as Superman pin the Imperium down in the ground letting it melt to the sun's ray.

He took one last look at the Imperium and the newly form Justice League before teleporting away.

Batman notice a man in the rooftop and it made him frown.

"Yeah! we finally beat the blob!" Flash rejoice.

Martian Manhunter shook his head and said "Someone help us and if not for him then I would have been knockout by the Imperium."

"Someone blew up the ceiling and the ship that prevented the Imperium from leaving" Batman added.

"Yes, I have felt it as well a....familiar one at that but....it's impossible because he should be dead." Diana said.

"Well, Let's talk about it later because we need to clean up the remaining resistance first." Green Lantern interjected and Hawkgirl agreed.

Batman just stand there looking at the rooftop.
