The Rise Of An Empire

Some time ago...

In the back of the Pei Kingdom troops.

Seeing that Lu Liang got hit by the arrow, the crown prince yelled "Where is the commander!"

Commander: "here! awaiting your orders."

Crown prince: "send our cavalry after Lu Liang as well, i don't have any faith in those four trash! then get the remaining soldiers into shield formation and hold off the Liang army. Do you understand!?"

Commander: "Understood your highness!"

Turning around without speaking further, the crown prince look at Ti Teng, Vu Hoa, and the second prince before saying "Lets go back now!"

Cha! Cha!

While running away the crown prince prediction was about to become true.

As the crown prince and his entourage are busy escaping with the sacrifice of their troops. Dead silence is all their was on the Liang clan side….

Gao Liang and all the important people in the clan that saw what happens was shocked to the core. As they are about to rush over, a young man already move ahead of them in a fast speed to Lu Liang location.

"That is...." Gao Liang and everyone else was amazed at the speed that this young man showed.

Zhang Liang answered with a smile "that's my son, don't worry brother Gao. The young lord will be safe."

Then sounds of fighting could be heard as Gao Liang see that the four previously wounded Pei Kingdom soldiers lunge themselves at Lu Liang but was blocked and killed by Zhang Liang son.

They also manage to hear Zhang Liang son declaration that he is Lu Liang shield!

Soon after hearing Dong Liang answer Lu Liang fainted from his injury and fell forward. Dong Liang rush to Lu Liang side keeping him from falling onto the ground before putting Lu Liang on his back and go towards the Liang clan army while being chase by the Pei Kingdom cavalry.

At first everyone in the Liang army was also shocked by the development but then….

An unbelievable amount of blood-l.u.s.t was release into the air as every single person in the Liang clan was shaking and gritting their teeth. Veins popping and eyes red from anger as they saw Lu Liang getting hit by an arrow from behind. Not only that but the Pei Kingdom cavalry is starting to move in Lu Liang direction! While the rest of the Pei Kingdom army are getting into formation for battle!

A single shout from an unknown clansmen start what would be a massacre.

"Save the young lord! Kill them all!"

"Charge!!!"

"For the Liang clan, for the young lord, Charge!!"

"Kill!!"

The ground was shaking intensely by the momentum as thousands of Liang clan warriors charged toward their enemy.

In order to save both Dong Liang and Lu Liang in time, Gao Liang and everyone else have taken up position. Then they send out their strongest and fastest units.

First to made contact was the Liang clan cavalry which successfully stop the enemy advancement.

Boom!

Clang!

Ding!

Puchi!

Miserable screams could be heard everywhere as the two side collided but it wasn't the Liang clan but instead it was the Pei Kingdom side that is in a miserable state!

Liang clan cavalry this time was no ordinary one. They consist cavalrymen from the "Thousand Spear Unit" that belong to Gao Liang, the "Golden Lotus Unit" from Xao Liang, and the "Savage Unit" from Tuong Liang who train them to the point of death each time.

The small group of Liang clan elite cavalrymen broke off and immediately made a wedge formation around Dong Liang with their young master on his back safely out of danger heading back to the city.

Back on the battlefield, the Liang clan three elite cavalry units are killing off the Pei Kingdom cavalry at every turn. It was a gruesome sight with dead bodies laying everywhere with most of them not even intact as some was missing their heads, legs, arms, or all of the body part at the same time.

Pei Soldier: "you bastard will die a horrible death when the main army learn of this!"

Savage Unit Warrior: "haha, you should worry about yourself instead of us idiot. The moment you Pei Kingdom bastard decided to humiliate us and even try to kill our young lord. We from the Liang army have given all of you a death sentenced!"

Slash! the Pei soldier head fall off his body from a single hit that the Savage Unit warrior delivered with his glaive.

Events like this are happening everywhere on the battlefield. With a thirst for revenge the Liang clan infantry didn't fall short from the cavalrymen as they have already reach the Pei kingdom shield wall and easily broke through thanks to the help of their heavy weight units that use similar weapons as Zhang Liang.

In fact, that was the unit Zhang Liang created back then before he left the army. He named it "The Hercules Unit" consist of the biggest and strongest men who wield huge hammers as if they are toys to deal devastating damage to the enemy. Zhang Liang was amaze that the unit are still around and stronger then ever but little did he know that Gao Liang have kept the unit once he became lord all this time.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Swinging their hammers toward the enemy, shield and men alike was sent flying away from the impact.

Liang Infantry: "follow the Hercules Unit, Kill!!"

About an hour later, the tragic screams have disappear completely. The two thousand men of Pei Kingdom was killed down to the last men. Only three hundred casulties was counted on the Liang clan side as most of them was normal warrior civilians that was either injured or killed in battle.

All of the dead have something in common for the Liang clan though. Because they pass away with a smile on their face telling all who see that "My life and death wasn't meaningless at all for I have die fighting as a free man standing up against tyranny."
