The Rise Of An Empire

Standing there like a statue, Tuong Liang froze for a long time before he came back to his senses and immediately thought 'I must tell the lord right away!'

But the moment he took a step out of the curtain. There is another group of patrolling guard coming in his direction. Due to the torches in the surrounding area of the camp lighting up the place, those guards saw Tuong Liang and right away the guards screamed "ENEMY SPIE!!!"

Cursing his luck, Tuong Liang run full speed towards the exit where his men are guarding at the moment to escape and bring back this shocking discovery to Gao Liang before being surrounded by the enemy guards. However, he didn't know that the situation is a lot more dangerous then he can imagine as more and more soldiers show up from all direction while the officers of various unit give out commands.

"Do not let him escape!"

"Capture the spy!"

"Box him in quickly!"

"Hmmp! want to capture me with only this much? dream on you fools!" looking at the enemy ahead of him Tuong Liang snorted coldly as he unsheathe his weapon.

Clank! Clank! Clank!

Slash! Stab!

Kha!

As he made contact with the enemy, Tuong Liang turn into a killing machine that kills left and right without even bating an eyelid. Blood soak the ground redder and redder with each passing second. Before long Tuong Liang manage to break through the potential encirclement but he was far from resolving his predicament because in front of him is even more imperial troops!

"I will kill anybody that stands in my way!" with fresh blood still dripping from the tip of his sword Tuong Liang lunge himself into the fray.

Back at the central tent of commander Loi Pei who is currently planning out their next step with the construction together with his four generals when a soldier ran in frantically.

"My lord! an enemy spy infiltrated our east camp and was seen coming out of the curtain we use to hide our newly constructed siege weapon!"

"What!?" the four generals all stood up after hearing the report.

"Lets go over to the east camp." calmly getting up as Loi Pei started to walk out into the distance while the four general hurriedly following along.

Stab!

Imperial soldier: "aaarrgghh"

"ha, ha, ha" taking deep breaths Tuong Liang begin to look around him.

All he see is an endless amount of imperial troops even though he have killed so many and manage to reach near the edge of where his escape route suppose to be with his soldiers blending in at the back. but he could no longer push through since the enemy have completely solidified their encirclement and push him back constantly into the middle when he try to break through.

"What to do, there's no way i can let them take me hostage. Otherwise, once they figure out who i am and use me as a hostage to force my lord in surrendering. My lord may be merciless with his enemies but he will risk his life for the people around him. So knowing my lord then he will surely do something stupid that could cost him to die young. I can't let that happen! I must break through or die!" thinking quickly while fending off the imperial soldiers, Tuong Liang have come to a decision.

Slash!

Clank!

"Get out of my way!" Tuong Liang screamed as he continue to push forward.

Then.....

Stab!

"Aaaarrggghh!" catch by surprised Tuong Liang left leg was pierce through by one of the imperial soldiers that sneak up behind him.

Pulling the spear out. The imperial soldier was about to hit the finishing move towards Tuong Liang back but how could someone like Tuong Liang allow himself to die such an embarrassing death?

Making a quick turn of his body Tuong Liang slash his sword at the imperial soldier with a roar "DIE!"

Slash!

"Aarg agr arg" holding his neck as blood gush out from the open wounds that was cut from Tuong Liang blade, that imperial soldier die with resentment in his eyes. He almost succeeded and would be rewarded greatly but in the end he is the one who died!

After disposing of that imperial soldier Tuong Liang continue to grip his sword tightly while limping as his left leg bleed continuously from the wound and said "My lord, please forgive me for not able to obey your command..."

"Drop your weapon and surrender. Do so, then i will allow you to live." a voice travel into Tuong Liang ears among the enemy soldiers. Focusing on the voice Tuong Liang manage to discover that the owner of this voice was in front of him. Soon, Tuong Liang see the soldiers in front of him starting to split apart and a man with great pressure walked out among them along with four other strong men.

"Who are you?" looking at the man and his men Tuong Liang have no change in his emotions as he asked.

"I'm the commander of this great army, Loi Pei." while observing his enemy Loi Pei casually replied then repeated himself once more "Drop your weapon and surrender. Do so, then i will allow you to live."

"HAHAHA! you really think i will drop my weapon and obediently become your hostage so that you can blackmail my lord? Just from what you said i can already tell that you know exactly who i am otherwise you won't hesitate in letting your soldiers finish me off. Am i right?" laughing hysterically Tuong Liang shot Loi Pei questions of his own.

"So you rather embrace death then being alive as a hostage? This is your last chance but even if you disagree i can still catch you given your situation" Loi Pei didn't bother to satisfied Tuong Liang with an answer as he said.

"It is true that in my condition i won't be able to stop you from capturing me but don't underestimate me and my loyalty!" gashing his blooded teeth Tuong Liang fiercely shot Loi Pei a look before replying and put the sword to his neck.
