In the realm of Chiji, a mythical world where hidden powers lie. Chaos ruled because of a few became drunk with power and abuse it. And inflicted a terrible balance upon the plains and brought chaos to Chiji.

From this chaos, opposition rose and plotted. And so, the good deeds of few power wielders were forgotten. What remained in the minds of people was the horrible past. Thus, their existence slowly waned through time.

Somehow, in a magic-imbued past, where the longing whispers of Xinyi to Ming resonated, the whims of fate which will bring change can be heard.

What did they say?

Only with curiosity may one find the answer...

However, out from these devastating times, a Sorceress will bloom and slowly bring balance to this world.

They are wedded through imperial edict, but she anticipates much from it although there is no love. However, on their wedding night…

"In fairness, I' be honest with you. I don' like you. I prefer to marry someone I choose. From this day forth, you are to live in Anjing Pavilion" says Lei Ming with no reservations.

She is aggrieved to be disregarded and treated this way. "Wait!" shouts Xinyi.

Lei Ming halts his steps, pestered. "What now?"

"I' grateful for sending me there, Lord husband, but please don' miss sending my allowance and I promise I will not show up and bother you," says Xinyi and bows in a pious manner.

"The heck, this woman is totally shameless."

Xinyi watches Lei Ming' back as he walks away. When he is out of earshot, she gives a careless smile and rests her palms on her waist.

"This is totally unexpected. What a farce of a marriage. So what? I don' care too..." she says as she suddenly jumps and swirls around in glee.

"Hahaha, Yippee! Thank you, husband of mine. Send me here. Send me there. I don' care. Send me anywhere or send me to another country. Since you don' care, I don' care as well," sings the bouncy Xinyi. She dances, eats, and drinks in merry.

But… an unexpected encounter under the moonlight changes everything. Most of all, when he discovers he is meant to protect his wife who is the blossoming Sorceress.

Will love springs forth out of this? Will she reach the pinnacle as a Sorceress and protect the source of power in this world? Find it out as both of them journey this path forced on them by fate.

Note: 
1.) There is no s.e.x but have some violence during wars and fights. Prepare for an adventurous ride in the story. Know that romance is not the focus of the story.

2.) The story is not totally under the Chinese background. This is a different world, and every nation had their own backgrounds. So, I don' follow the Chinese way of naming and calling of characters. Like using their full names when I mention them, even with the greetings.
