The Soul Of Lucifer

Chapter 19 - Nice catch, Sun!

"And the winning team is team 19!", the voice announced through the Colosseum.

Everyone applauded as Sun's team walked towards the principal's stage.

"Kids. Well done.", Mirage Guilt looked at Sun and smiled.

"Thank you, Sir!", all three boys answered simultaneously.

"Here are your new access keys. Make sure to use them wisely.", the principal said while circling with his finger to cast a spell on their Student ID.

...

"We appreciate the kindness!", all three answered again.

Everyone applauded again when they left the stage.

"Everyone, now, after the traditional battle between the first-years, let's celebrate the new term!", the principal announced.

...

"Guys, we did it!", Sun smiled proudly at the Evan and Edward.

"Of course! I'm an Elite after all."

"Yes! I could let loose for a while!"

They left the Colosseum and returned to the villa. The fights exhausted their stamina and they still need to attend the party afterward.

Arriving at the house, Sun threw himself into his pillow and let out a yawn.

Activating his Soul Origin did wear him out despite the good physique given by it's passive.

Laying down, he started to cultivate his Transformation Class. He needed to advance to Beginner 3 as soon as possible.

While thinking about his training with Minvera, Sun thought whether Rose watched his matches. Now, he still doesn't know where to find her. Maybe in the girl's dormitory, but he neither had permission nor did he know where the second year girls in the west block are located.

"I'll just ask around later at the party", he thought and continued his cultivation.

"The cultivation process seems simple at first, but get's much more complex later on.

You basically need to lucid dream and fight inside your simulated world for 'exp' and use that 'exp' to level your cultivation process."

The distinct voice sounded through Sun's head as he was cultivating.

"Okay, first: dive into deep thought..."

"Turn and create the environment..."

"Cultivation World Status: active.", the strange voice sounded inside his head.

...

"Beginner 1 and 2 was really easy since I only needed to slay 10 low-level normal monsters."

"Beginner 3 required 5 mid-level normal monsters."

"Soul Origin: ACTIVATE", Sun shouted and the black mist surrounded him.

"Let's do this." and Sun went on fighting the mid-level normal monsters.

__

The process of defeating a monster his like a mind training which is the key to expand your brain capacity - which meant a higher cultivation level.

The process will be much easier for Sun since the Arcas form already enhances his brain by a little - strengthening him - but only inside the simulated cultivation world.

"Sun!, we need to go the the party!", a noisy and rough voice disrupted Sun's cultivation process.

"The heck?! I was about to kill my third mid-level normal monster!"

Sun woke up from his cultivation a bit disappointed but recovered shortly after.

"Yeah, yeah. Just one minute_"

...

"I can't believe! You're already striking Beginner 3?!", Evan was surprised while all three walked towards the Central Hall to attend the party.

"Well, I just got lucky. My cultivation is fluent at the moment.", Sun answered with an awkward smiling face.

"By the way, what element are you, Sun?", Edward turned to him.

"Uhm, I'm-", Sun stoked.

He did not test his element. What element was he? He was not sure.

"I don't know. Never tested."

"What? Your elemental power was so strong back in the battle, how can you not be aware of it?", Edward was surprised by his answer.

Normally, a person who uses a tremendous amount of his elemental power should be aware of its nature, but Sun wasn't, or he did not want to tell him.

Edward decided not to ask further and wanted to observe how the things will turn.

After the quick walk, more students joined their route and shortly after, a small crowd around the three had formed.

"Hey, weren't you the guy with the time element?

You were amazing!", a male student complimented Edward.

"Look, Lily, he's so hot!", a female student nearly fainted.

Since this party required formal clothing, all three came dressed in suits.

Edward was really tall and that made him stand out more than the others.

Few minutes after, they arrived at the Central Hall, but on the way there, they lost track of Edward.

He was pulled out by fanatic girls and is probably enjoying himself.

"Well, it's just you and me, buddy! Let's enjoy this and eat loads of food.", Evan's eyes lit up with flames of determination again and ran off to the food stand.

"Well, now it's just me...", Sun smiled wryly and let out a sigh and started to look around hoping to maybe find Rose.

...

"Hello, kid.", a very tender voice called out to Sun. Sun turned to the location of the voice and saw Mirage Guilt.

"Uhm, good evening, Mr. Guilt."

"Geez, no need to be so formal, just call me Mirage."

"Uhm, okay. Is there something you need from me?", Sun asked.

"Well, let's see. A top scorer and winner of the first-year mock battle. Why would I not want something from you?"

"Uhm, Mr. Gui- Mirage, I don't understand your intent."

"Hehe, no worries. I meant to gratulate you and just get known to you. It's a simple teacher and student relationship.", Mirage Guilt smiled.

"Eh, okay."

...

"Hey, Mirage Guilt!, stop harassing new students!", a very familiar voice called out the principal.

"Chill Rose, I'm not doing anything shady!", the principal tried to talk himself out.

A girl dressed in a red sheath dress came towards the two.

The near she came, the bigger Sun's eyes got.

"Rose!, is that you?"

"Oh? Sun!, long time no see!", she walked a step closer to him.

Sun could smell her perfume - it was delightful!

Mirage Guilt saw the two talking happily and tipped on Sun's shoulders.

Sun turned to him and spelled out the words:

"NICE CATCH, SUN!"
