The System Of Somatosensation

Chapter 9 - Going Home

Looking at the shop the guy just mentioned earlier, this shop indeed sell herbs. There are lots of herbs that I have not seen before and some herbs that are used by mother whenever she makes a pesticide or any kind of potion.

I look into my bag and the Green Bitter Leaf appeared in my vision. I have no idea about the herbs so I hope that these items will sell good amount of gold. If this is not worth enough money, then I might end up hunting monsters again and again to earn 10,000 gold but on a week, that would be a very hard thing to do.

I entered the shop and the shop was revealed in my eyes. The whole place was brimming with the smell of herbs. Its not just the smell, the whole place is brimming with herbs. A lady in her twenties is currently grinding something on her mortar and pestle. When she noticed me, she quickly frowned and her eyes are glaring on me.

"This is not a candy shop for a kid like you to stroll around,"the girl quickly said like she was shooing me away.

"Wow, that was kind of rude,"I murmured.

"Yeah, yeah rude is rude, I don't care just get out of here kid, beggars are not allowed here," the girl keep on shooing away.

"I am no beggar, I want to sell herbs,"I quickly said to her.

"Whatever you say, you are not welcome here," she did not even listen.

I was on the small line of my patience on her and I might show my middle finger on her. I wan't to bash her down into her mortar and pestle for the poor attitude.

"Alright, you ungrateful woman, may you fail in your concoction or whatever you are making in,"I said to her before going out.

She send me with a glare. For some reason, that girl has some mind problems for her attitude on me. Now that the shop is out of the question, I decided to look for a new shop that deals with herbs without the discrimination stuff on me.

I walk around the stores around the city and checks out if they are dealing with herbs but nothing seems good enough to sell these herbs. I decided to return back home after failing to find a good place to sell the herbs. It might be a city but it looks like a town to me since its very small. My stomach also grumble for being empty. I forgot that I have not eaten lunch yet after hunting. I never expected that I never felt hungry when I hunted monsters, does that mean I felt full when I leveled up? No, that is ridiculous. I just didn't notice it that I was hungry.

Mom and sister are not home and I am still the only one inside the house. I took a bath and changed my clothes, I also wash the blood covered cloak out to avoid mother suspecting me on going to the forest. I will never hear the end of it if she founds out.

After the refreshing bath, I scratch my head in confusion. How the heck will I use this herbs? I have no ability in making potions and stuff about apothecary and alchemy. The girl on that store shooed me away, making it hard for me to get rid of it. I sighed and decided to go into the garden and plant a few on it. This way, I can harvest a few if needed. Unfortunately, I don't have the skill [Botany] that mother has. I can't even extract that skill now since I already extracted the [Heal] skill that mother has before and its the rule of this system to stop me from grabbing all skills from mother.

I planted the herbs on a big pot. I scratched my head on this, what if mother found this thing out? Never mind, I should just train my dagger mastery. This proves that having a dagger mastery made me able to fight against the monsters. And it also proves that hunting monsters is pretty profitable. But I can't gain enough money if I only kill minor monsters. Killing a bigger one will bring more profit. I also think that hunting at night will also yield me with good amount of carcasses but this method is pretty risky due to the fact that monsters attacks humans at night which is pretty dangerous.

Su!

Slash!

Hua!

After a series of exhausting moves, I shook my head, the level of my dagger mastery is not enough to earn experience to level up. Killing monsters is the only way to level this thing up huh. Then I realize that the blade in my dagger seems looking dull.

"Did my daggers go dull after the hunt?" I checked the sharpness and indeed, the dagger's sharpness is quite low and it can barely cut anything.

I decided to look for a tool to sharpen this dagger out. I am not a novice in sharpening knives. I grab a whetstone that mother uses to sharpen her sickle.

[Normal Whetstone]

Durability: 65/100

Oh, it also has a durability? I never thought whetstones has a durability. With a dagger in my hand, I began to sharpen the dagger in fast rate. Soon enough, the dagger returned to its former sharpness. I tried hitting the tree nearby and with just a single hit, the tree's bark is broken.

"Good!" I nodded in satisfaction.

I sheathed back the dagger into its sheathe and with walk into my room. With the gold I got from the hunt, I hope to earn bigger amount of money and also to free my mother and sister on the shackles that the lanky guy put on us. I can't let him do what he pleases. Then I just remembered, I had the [Steal] skill, should I try stealing on that lanky guy? No that is bad, and doing so is pretty risky. I can't let the small amount of deadline we have to further shorten. Instead, I should just take a hunt at night. Money is needed to earn in one week.
