The Treasure She Never Asked For

Chapter 90 - Little Fan.

After the two of them finished with their lunch, Marcel picked up their plates and started to wash them. Liam quietly looked at his brother as he was working and pursed his lips. He wanted to help out but he could bȧrėly see over the kitchen counter much less be able to wash the dishes. Marcel glanced at the little guy and smiled at him. He would have ruffled his hair if his hands weren't so foamy.

Since it was just a few dishes, Marcel took no time to finish them before taking Liam to the living room so that they could watch some tv. As he left Liam to pick out whatever he wanted to watch, Marcel went back to the kitchen and scooped some ice cream for the two of them.

Marcel went to sit next to Liam on the comfortable sofa and handed him the ice cream he had been pining for since they came back.

"Thank you," Liam said and tried to look composed but he couldn't hide his joy. Marcel smiled when he saw his expression and nodded before looking at what the kid had been watching on tv. It just happened to be the reruns of the program he was in.

"You haven't seen this yet?" Marcel asked as ate a spoonful of ice cream.

"I saw it, I just want to watch it again," Liam said as he blinked at Marcel and Marcel raised his eyebrows.

"Did you watch it at school?" Marcel asked and Liam nodded his head.

"We have a tv in our room. I only have one roommate so it wasn't hard to watch it when it aired," Liam said as he licked his lips which were stained with ice cream. Marcel grabbed some tissue from the small table next to him and wiped Liam's cheeks and chin which he managed to make a mess of.

"You eat so well, but you become messy with ice cream," Marcel commented after he finished cleaning up Liam's face. Liam didn't care much and continued to eat his ice cream. It became messy because it was already melting! He had to quickly finish it before he was left with flavoured milk.

Marcel looked at Liam who had redoubled his efforts in amusement and ruffled his soft hair before he too continued to eat his own ice cream. As he was zoning out, he was interrupted by a familiar voice.

[Do you want to consider learning other skills?] Avian asked Marcel who was idle now. Marcel raised his eyebrows from the sudden question.

<Why?> he asked. He wanted to know why this was brought up out of nowhere.

[You can learn two more skills on top of cooking, and when you master them too I'll be able to upgrade and give you better benefits,] Avian explained and Marcel thought about it seriously.

<I'll have to think about it,> Marcel responded and stewed over his words. The cooking skill was useful for him since he had a child to take care of anyway, but he knew to completely master it would probably take some time, especially since he was not cooking all the time at the house, since they had to be on a 'diet' since they were models.

He will have to think of learning something that isn't going to take him several years to master. The two sat in the living room, the small one attentively watching TV and the bigger one lost in his own thoughts. They were like this for quite a while and Marcel only snapped out of his reverie when the program finished.

"Big brother Marcel, what's going to happen next week?" Liam asked after the program ended. He was very curious. Especially when he saw the girl who was sleeping next to his brother.

"I don't know, wait to find out," Marcel said as he reached out to play with Liam's hair.

"Is she your girlfriend?" Liam continued to ask and Marcel laughed helplessly.

"Do you want her to be my girlfriend?" Marcel asked and Liam shook his head. He didn't like the look in her eyes.

"Oh? Then who do you think should be my girlfriend?" Marcel asked curiously.

"Sherry! You two even kissed," Liam said and Marcel became dumbfounded. That was just an act alright? .

"Then who should be your girlfriend?" Marcel teased and was surprised when Liam's cheeks actually blushed.

"Did you find someone you like in school?" Marcel asked and Liam shook his head.

"There's only boys in my school," Liam said and looked at his brother as if he was stupid. So what if they were boys? Marcel asked himself but didn't voice his thoughts.

"Then who is it? Is she pretty?" Marcel asked and Liam nodded shyly.

"How old is she?" Marcel asked as he tried to think of who it could possibly be.

"Old," Liam said and Marcel thought hard about it before a lightbulb shone on his head.

"Is it Julia?" Marcel asked and Liam vigorously shook his head. He would not covet his uncle's girlfriend!

"Then Sherry? Is that why you want me to date her?" Marcel asked and Liam looked at him funny once more. Why would he send the girl he likes to his brother's hands?

"Don't tell me it's Elise," Marcel said and Liam's reaction confirmed his words.

"Is it because she fed you a few times?" Marcel asked as he felt a bitter. He was aware on how much Elise seemed to not like men. He didn't know why she was the way she was. But it was most likely something she had experienced while she was in the industry.

"No, she's pretty," Liam argued back and Marcel smiled. He didn't know Elise had the ability to turn even little boys into her fans. He had gone through their group info and saw people say that the men who were Elise's fans were all mȧsȯċhɨsts. Which he also thought was true. Now it was his turn to look at his baby brother funny.
