The Treasure She Never Asked For

Chapter 91 - Meeting Titus.

Marcel teased Liam for a bit longer before the boy started to feel sleepy. Liam fell asleep at some point when they were watching tv. Marcel picked up the sleeping boy and took him to his room to sleep. He adjusted his air conditioning to a comfortable temperature and covered him with a comforter before leaving.

He turned off the tv and texted his road manager. He had been thinking about what Avian had told him earlier and he figured out what he wanted he learn.

"What do you want to do with these things?" Avian asked when he saw the list of things Marcel wanted his road manager to buy for him.

"I've gotten inspired by Alistair. He does live broadcasts for his fans, I figured I could do that but to practise my cooking instead," Marcel said as he finished writing down the equipment he wanted and sent the message to his manager.

Sure enough, he received a similar response from his manager who was also wondering what he needed those things for. Marcel called and explained it to him patiently as he poured himself a glass of juice. After a short chat, the call finally ended and Marcel sat in the living room bored.

He quietly finished his juice and wrote a note that he left on the side table of Liam's room. He then went to change his clothes and carried a bottle of water with him before leaving the house.

He got on the elevator and went to the basement level floor and got out. That was where the gym was. He wanted to workout a bit to relieve his boredom as he waited for his manager to deliver the things that he wanted.

He was very carefree as he walked into the gym. He was not expecting to find anyone else in there as he thought everyone was busy but he ended up finding Titus in there.

"Hello," Marcel said to the sweating Titus who was sprinting on the treadmill like he was being chased by a horde of zombies. Titus didn't even turn in response lest he ended up falling from a moment of carelessness. Marcel understood that he couldn't respond and wasn't really asking for a response as he too went to warm up on another treadmill.

The gym was silent with the exception of the two who were running. They ended up stopping at around the same time and Titus responded to Marcel's earlier greeting while panting.

"Are you joining a survival show? Your running was so intense," Marcel said as he started stretching. He was not sweating as profusely as Titus and there was only a light sheen of sweat on his skin.

"How did you know? I can eat whatever I want these days, but I have to train my stamina," Titus said as he lifted his tank top to wipe his sweat exposing his well developed abs.

"As long as you can eat whatever you want. I've been asked to gain some weight, but I have to make sure I don't get fat at the same time" Marcel said and Titus became envious of his predicament.

In his profession, there was a certain size he needed to maintain, he could be a bit bulky but not fat, and there shouldn't be a bit disparity between him and the other group members.

Marcel finished his stretching, completely unaware of how jealous Titus was of him and started weight lifting. Titus joined him and ȧssisted him at times and time went fast as they chatted.

A little over an hour later, Marcel's phone started ringing. He stopped the treadmill and went to pick up his phone, it was a good thing that he was finishing with his workout.

It was his manager telling him that he had already come back with the things he wanted. Marcel picked up his towel and phone and was going to say goodbye to Titus but ended up going with him instead.

When the two sweaty young men walked out of the building Marcel's manager looked at them with questions in his eyes.

"We were in the gym," Marcel said when he saw his questioning expression.

"Okay, talk to Julia about this first," his manager said as he opened the sliding door and handed them the boxes of equipment.

"Mmmh, I will," Marcel said as he carried the boxes he was given. Before he could balance them, Titus took a few of them from him. .

"Can you come pick us up at around 11 am tomorrow?" Marcel asked and his manager nodded before getting in the car.

"Aren't you busy?" Marcel asked Titus after the van left and Titus shook his head. He was the only in the group that didn't have a schedule today because of the training he had to do.

"Then I'll trouble you," Marcel said and smiled at him, Titus nodded in response as he got in the elevator with him.

When they got to Marcel's floor, Marcel opened the door to his apartment and kicked off his shoes as he went in. Titus followed suit and went to place the boxes he was carrying next to the ones Marcel placed on the floor.

"Do you want some water?" Marcel asked and headed for the kitchen without waiting for a response.

"Sure," Titus said as he looked around. The house was surprisingly clean and well organised. When he thought of the apartment he shared with the other four guys he got a headache.

Marcel poured Titus a glass of water and handed it to him.

"Please feel comfortable, sit," Marcel said to Titus and pointed at the bar stool at the kitchen counter.

He wanted to keep him longer because he wanted him to help him set up the equipment he had just bought in his kitchen. Titus who was unaware of this was slowly sipping on the water. He was even feeling a bit reluctant to leave to go back to his messy apartment.
