The Universal Villain

Chapter 30 - A Feeling Of Fear

This was a special weapon Shen had been working on during his preparation for entering the Soul Society. Stemming from the need to find a weapon that could survive being used alongside Flying Thunder God, something else came from it.

Standing there, the weapon in Shen's hand had fully formed. A long black handle could be seen overflowing, with Shen's Ki causing red lightning to shine across its surface traveling up Shen's arm. Along the surface of the handle, two black snakes could be seen coiling around one another up towards the blade, shimmed with a crimson glow.

The word danger summed up everything the captains saw in front of them right now. Meanwhile, in the distance, the orb containing Renji's Zanpakuto flew across the sky, making its way towards the middle of the Seirtei. Shen knew this fight would get dangerous, and he might even die, which is why he came up with this.

Fighting against the three captains, he made sure to have the orb containing Renji's Zanpakuto fly to Rukia's prison. The moment it made it there Shen could teleport to it, take Rukia and get out of the Soul Society without a problem, all he had to do was to stall for time.

"So that's what you have been holding back huh?" With his eye patch still removed, Kenpachi looked towards Shen with a grin. "Hehe. Who would have thought you were still hiding something, but this is good. Now I get to have a lot more fun!" Saying Kenpachi Rushed towards Shen not wasting any more words on talk.

"Wait!" Shunsui yelled towards Kenpachi, but it was too late. Appearing in front, Shen Kenpachi raised his Zanpakuto looking down at Shen. In that instant, just as Kenpachi was about to attack Shen, he froze. Locked in eye contact with Shen, Kenpachi felt this overwhelming pressure as an image of the Sharingan projected itself in his mind.

'What is this feeling... It's familiar I've felt something like this before.' Watching Kenpachi freeze mid-attack, Shunsui started to rush up behind Kenpachi. "Kenpachi move!" Hearing Shunsui, Kenpachi snapped out of his daze only to see Shen had remained still during his attack, which raised the halberd in the air.

Looking at Kenpachi, Shen spoke. "I can't control what's about to happen next, so I advise you to move." With that sentence, Shen slammed the halberd's blade straight in the ground. There was silence until a massive shockwave swept across the surface of the crater. Following this shockwave, a massive release of Ki shot straight into the sky.

The explosion caused the earth to quake as everything seemed to be shaking. Looking up one could see the sky beginning to split in half as the ground in front of Shen began to crack and shift. Not being able to control the output of Ki made this weapon, something Shen wanted to avoid using if not needed.

Within the Seirtei everyone was on high alert. The battle between Shen and Soi Fon snapped them out of their tranquil faze. "You two make sure that every inch of this area is searched." A Soul Reaper told two other Soul Reapers which they quickly responded. "Yes, Sir!"

Turning around the two of them suddenly stopped seeing something in the distance. "What is is that?" In the distance, the clouds in the sky could be seen splitting as if something was devouring them. Hearing the two of them, the Soul Reaper in charge looked up only to see it as well.

The sky splitting effect traveled for miles in the distance as the ground began to tremble slightly. As they continued to stare, they felt a gust of wind sweep over the area, causing them to try and cover their eyes. "What the hell is going on?"

Sitting at a low table, a cup of tea sat there as vibrations caused the table to shake and the cup of tea to jump as the building began to shake. "I can no longer sense their spiritual pressure." Grabbing the jumping cup of tea, Aizen seemed unfazed by the shaking.

Looking out the open door, Aizen looked in the distance, watching the miraculous scene of the sky splitting apart. "He's growing stronger faster than I thought he would, it seems ill have to speed up my plans." Taking another sip of tea and placing the cup down on the table as the tremors began to weaken.

Back at the crater, Shen was struggling to control the release of Ki. The attack should have weakened after the initial strike, however, instead of the output of Ki decreasing after the first attack, it only increased, causing the effects to grow even worse as a wave of Ki began to shoot forward, drilling its way through the crater in its entirety.

As this raged on, Shen could feel the Ki that he had contained within the halberd began to disappear. 'It released a lot more than I wanted it to.' Trying to cut off the flow of Ki, Shen struggled as the power of the attack slowly dampened itself until it eventually disappeared entirely.

Stretching in front of Shen, a large gash in the terrain stretched for miles. Looking down at the halberd in his hand, it began to disappear back into the system. Once the halberd disappeared, the wound Shen had been suppressing using the Ki from it opened again, causing him to Shen to fall on one knee, coughing up blood.

The weapon Shen had used was the Halbert wielded by Rory Mercury, a demi-god. Storing his Ki in a weapon and reinforcing it using Haki allowed Shen to release this energy in a burst well that was the plan, however, it ended up being harder to control than he thought it would be.

Looking around, Shen couldn't see any sign of the captains. Even Kenpachi, who was originally right in front of him, was gone. 'Where did they go?' Shen had not gotten a notification from the system, so he had to assume they were still alive somewhere.

Looking around the crater again Shen found no traces of them and only felt the gash on his c.h.e.s.t get worse. 'This isn't the time to worry about them. It's finally reached its destination.' Sitting in her cell, Rukia also felt the tremors but due to being locked away could not see the cause.

'What's going on out there.' Looking at the wall that blocked her, Reiatsu Rukia could only wonder what was happening outside. Her execution was getting closer every day and she had finally come to terms with that, however with Shen's constant interference the tranquility she had disappeared.

'Well has nothing to do with me. I'll be dead soon enough.' Lowering her head, Rukia continued to sit there in silence until she heard a crack. At first, she thought it might have just been her imagination, but turning around she could see cracks appearing on the wall she was leaning on.

Standing up, she slowly backed away as her chains raddled with each step. As the cracks continued to expand across the wall, they suddenly stopped as the entire wall burst open, allowing light to pear into the prison.
