The Universal Villain

"He brought her with him?" Ukitake was surprised along with the other captains. After kidnapping someone, one would never think the kidnapper would be a thing back, especially free of restraints. "Well, whatever the case its better for us he brought Rukia here." Shunsui replied to Ukitatake as he seemed more relaxed than when Shen first arrived.

"Your first mistake was coming here, thinking you could handle us by yourself." Cutting all their chatter short Byakuya used Flash Step appearing in front of Shen. Just as Byakuya's attack was about to connect it was stopped with the swords hitting one another echoing as sparks flew in front of Shen's face.

Seeing his attack was stopped without Shen moving an inch Byakuya's eyes widened when he saw the person who stopped his attack was Rukia. "What are you doing Rukia." Looking at Rukia who stood in front Shen like a bodyguard he jumped back cancelling his attack looking at Rukia for an answer. "I'm sorry brother."

Not only Byakuya but the other captains were surprised as well watching Rukia protect Shen in such a matter. "Shes regained all of her spiritual pressure, and it seems she's even stronger than she was before. Being able to recover spiritual pressure that fast is outstanding." Unohana said, seeing even after her time in the prison that suppresses spiritual pressure and spending most of her time in the human world, Rukia still managed to regain her Soul Reaper powers.

"Well I'm sure you all have a lot of questions, but I'm afraid you all won't have a lot of time to talk." Raising his arm in the air, Shen waved his hand forward as the two massive orbs of Ki made their way inside of the Seireitei from outside. "Like you said fighting all of you together would be way too annoying I doubt I would be able to get anything done."

"Hehehe. Do you really think those toys cant hold us off? I thought you would come up with something more interesting for me." Kenpachi spoke up towards Shen ignoring the two orbs he had called forth. Although the other captains were remaining quite knowing that all this talking would soon end, they all thought the same thing.

"Byakuya said coming here by myself was a mistake. Well, allow me to correct that. Thinking I'm the same as when I came here last will be your death sentence." After saying that Shen took a step back as the two sides looked at one another. Swarming the roof and the grounds there were hundreds if not thousands of Soul Reapers gathered in front of Shen and his army. "Now my then let's get this started shall we."

The sound of movement became more apparent after Shen said those words the army of creatures behind him began to move to burst into a dash rushing towards the Soul Reapears stopping their entry to paths leading further into the Seireitei. In response to Shen's army, the Soul Reapers braced themselves as the Head Captain's voice fell into their ears. "Defend the Seireite!"

And with that, the battle was officially underway. Meanwhile, Shen was placed his hand on Rukia's shoulder whispering into her ear. "I'll let you have a little family time. Once you're done here catchup." Without waiting for a response from Rukia herself, Shen disappeared from the area leaving Byakuya and Rukia in a stare with one another.

The creatures around them ignored them in their entirety focuses only on the Soul Reapers. The sound of crashing and destruction could be heard as more and more people got put into battle. "What even are these things." Clashing with one of Shens creatures Lieutenant Hisagi had never seen something like this before.

"Yah!" Slamming his Zanpakuto's sheath against the head of one of the creatures causing it to be sent flying into a nearby wall, Ikkaku laughed as he removed his Zanpakuto from his sheath. "Well, whatever they are, they sure are fun to fight." Quickly turning around Ikkaku parried an attack from behind before slicing another creature in half with a single swing.

"Is fighting really all you think about?" Yumichika said appearing behind Ikkaku as looked at the swarm of creatures surrounding them. "These things are so ugly." Slicing one of the creatures head off. Ikkaku and Yumichika were back to back as they continued to fight off the onslaught.

"Well isn't this interesting. Hold it steady Nemu." Mayuri said as Nemu restrained one of the creatures allowing for Mayuri to look at it closer. "This these creatures seem very durable and aren't susceptible to my Zanpakuto's poison. Even after having their limbs removed, they continue to fight." Raising his Zanpakuto Mayuri stabbed his blade into the stomach of the creature. "I wonder if they feel pain? More research will be required."

As Mayuri stayed out of the battle, he was more interested in dissecting Shen's creatures then actually fighting them. "Hey is it just me or are these guys mostly ignoring us?" Slicing a creature in two Captain Hitsugaya spoke up. "I believe your right. Except for when we attack them they go out of there way to ignore us." Shunsui replied, cutting down a creature who was about to kill another Soul Reaper.

Watching the battlefield from a distance, Shen looked pleased with the way things are going. Looking at his orbs that remained idle, Shen thought to himself. 'Let's see if they like your new tricks.' As if giving out a telepathic command, the orbs that had remained idle began to move. Noticing the movement of the orb as they slowly began to move forward uninterrupted Kenpachi's focus was completely taken.

"So he's finally letting those things join in the fun." Stopping his massacre of attacking Kenpachi jumped in the air as he dashed towards one of the orbs closest to him. Raising his Zanpakuto in the air, something suddenly shot out of the spheres main body like a rope. Wrapping around Kenpachi's arm holding his Zanpakuto, he felt a strong force pull him as he swung.

"Huh?" Holding onto Kenpachi's arm, the orb raised him high into the air before slamming him down into the ground, causing him to become buried under the floor. Seeing Kenpachi was countered so easily the captain's attention was quickly changed as the orbs began shooting out giant tentacles that each moved independently. The tentacles themselves were extremely fast only aiming for the captains.

Seeing one of the tentacles coming straight for himself, Hitsugaya quickly moved out of the way as the tentacle ploughed into the ground he was standing in. 'If one of these were to you head-on, it could cause a serious problem.' The ground underneath him rumbled as he moved out of the way again as the same tentacle burst out of the ground underneath him.

"Tell me, Rukia why did you protect him." Meanwhile, in a different location in the Seireitei Byakuya looked at Rukia as he asked this question. "I will protect Master Shen and follow his orders, that is all." Replying with a cold response Rukia didn't say anything else, hearing Rukia's response Byakuya didn't react in any one way as he placed his Zanpakuto in front of him.

"I see. Then for the pride of the Kuchiki clan, I shall cut you down and bring an end to this betrayal."
