The Universal Villain

"Is that a fact!" Flying in from Shens right Soi Fon held her Suzumebachi went in for an attack while Shen turned his head towards her. Alongside Soi Fon attack Shunsui could be seen appearing high above Shen with his Kimoto fluttering as he raised both of his Zanpakuto in the air descending down on Shen.

At this moment, Shen had two captains attacking him at the same time. However, even then, Shen had plenty of time to react as his eyes flashed red for a second both captain's attacks continued unhindered until a wrenching spark sound rang out. Both Soi Fon was stopped each only feet away from Shen as he blocked both his attacks with two swords he created from the void. All that momentum was stopped at once as a harsh wave of pressure twisted in the sky around Shen.

'Where did he get those two swords from?' With a surprised look on her face, Soi Fon found no matter how hard she pushed her Suzumebachi, the swords wouldn't budge nor break. 'Those blades are tough.' These thoughts also flashed through Shunsui's head as Shen twisted his body low along with two swords while pushing against the two forces trying to crush him. With these few actions, both Soi Fon and Shunsui were sent flying away.

With those two off his being pushed back for a moment, Shen took a step backward, dodging the slash that descended from above. "Hehe!" Of course, just from that battle driven laugh, Shen knew who attacked him retaliating with an attack of his own. Pulling back one of his swords, Shen sent a thurst straight towards Kenpachi's c.h.e.s.t.

"I have been waiting for this for a long time." Raising his Zanpakto, Kenpachi parried Shen, moving it upwards with the edge of his Zanpakuto, causing the strike to miss altogether. 'I guess swordsmanship really isn't my thing, huh?" Grinning Shen's eyes flashed again. Both his sword disappeared before Kenpachi could notice. Coating his arms in Haki, Shen used the fact Kenpachi's sword was still raised in the air to send a punch straight into his gut.

No matter how strong Kenpachi could get a punch like that was enough to cause him to cough up blood as it left an imprint on his stomach. Kenpachi leaned in slightly Shen was free to let loose starting with a punch straight into Kenpachi's face Shen let lose blow after blow each one stronger than the last. As Kenpachi's moved with the sequence of punches, it was like his body was dancing.

However, as Shen continued, he heard Kenpachi speak as he looked up with a smirk on his face. "Is that all you've got?" Looking as Shen Kenpachi ignored all the damage, he had taken up to this point lowering his Zanpakuto down on Shen without mercy. The strength behind the slash-cut the air as yellow Reiatsu surrounded the area around Kenpachi.

Seeing this, Shen quickly enveloped his arms in Haki Blocking the slash as yellow and red aura enveloped two halves of the sky one trying to overcome the other. 'I almost forgot he doesn't need a Bankai.' Even after that short period, Shen could tell the captains had been training or at least the ones he had fought before.

However, Kenpachi's raw power increased as if a limiter was released. "Alright, then." Shen said quietly as Kenpachi's strength continued to grow until finally, Kenpachi's swing was put into full action as a black streak could be seen flying into the ground below them.

Being buried into the ground, Kenpachi's laugh could be heard began to fly downwards as well as chasing after Shen. However, as Kenpachi gave chase, he noticed a red light began to shine from the crater, and only a split second later the sky above it was engulfed in a wide beam of crimson energy. As this energy covered the sky, Kenpachi was at a loss as someone appeared in front of him. "Huh?"

As Kenpachi turned his head towards Ukitake, he saw he had pointed one of his Zanpakuto at the incoming blast. What happened next had even to shock Shen, who was still in the crater as his attack began to be absorbed. Looking up, Shen was still relaxed as he thought to himself. 'Who would have thought even Ki attacks can be absorbed. I guess this is why you don't make claims as to the villain.' Having his entire attack absorbed the five charms on Ukitake's Zanpakuto began to light up one by one.

Each one made Shen's attack stronger and stronger he pointed his second Zanpakuto towards the crater in the ground. All this happened within a matter of seconds as Shen's attack was reverted and sent straight back at him even stronger than when it was sent out. In this instant, Shen continued to lay there relaxed as his eyes turned crimson with a shield made of void covering his entire body enveloping him just before the blast hit.

A massive crimson explosion erupted on impact, engulfing the entire area in a blinding explosion. Looking down at the effect Shunsui, Soi Fon and the other captains regrouped with Ukitake and Kenpachi. Looking at Ukitake, Kenpachi s.u.c.k.e.d his teeth. "I didn't need your help, you know." Hearing Kenpachi Ukitake only smiled. "But I was more than happy to offer it."

Ukitake's jolly attitude causes Kenpachi to end the conversation right there. "So, did you get him?" Soi Fon asked, looking down in the pitch-black pit that was created in the ground. Replying to this Ukitake only made thinking sound as Komamur spoke as well while holding his side. Thanks to Shen's kick, he had fractured multiple bones and was having a hard time dealing with the pain.

"He's strong I doubt even his own attack will hurt him too badly." Shunsui nodded as he agreed. "Ya, but something is definitely wrong with this fight. We shouldn't be able to overpower him so easily, even if we are all working together." And as if wanting to prove their words right, it didn't for Shen fly out of the crater almost entirely unharmed.

Patting himself off, Shen barely had any scratches on his body, causing the captains to dawn solemn faces. Looking at Shen, Shunsui spoke in a more serious tone. "Tell us why you aren't taking this seriously. No matter what, you should have us on the ropes, not the other way around. Your not treating this as if its a life and death battle."

Hearing Shunsui, Shen narrowed his eyes as he spoke. "Oh, that? Well, I thought that would be obvious. After all of our encounters, Shunsui, I thought you of all people would know already." As Shen stared at Shunsui, eyes opened slightly as he smiled. "So it's like that, huh?" Listening to Shen and Shunsui talk so cryptically, Soi Fon was the one to speak up.

"What are you talking about?" Although Soi Fon didn't wholly understand what Shen and Shunsui were talking about, she did get the feeling Shen was holding back. Turning his gaze to Soi Fon, Shen's smile began to turn dark. "Do I have to spell it out for you? If I wanted to kill the captains of the Gotei 13…"

Mid-sentence Shen disappeared from each captain's view as Soi Fon felt a whisper enter her ear. "I could do it just like that." Standing in front of Soi Fon without making his presence noticeable, Soi Fon's eyes contracted as Shen's hand was wrapped lightly around her throat. It was at the moment that the other captains noticed Shen had reappeared quickly, backing away as Soi Fon stood there.

Of course, Shen used Flying Thunder God to get so close to Soi Fon unnoticed. He wasn't fully confident that his speed alone would be untractable to the captains however, using instant teleportation was more than enough. As Soi Fon remained frozen as sweat began to run down her face, she finally understood what Shunsui meant.

If Shen could get so close to her in an instant, that means he could easily kill her whenever he wanted. And if he couldn't follow his movements, that also meant he could do the same to any captain here. Shen decided to use Soi Fon to prove a point as he backed away, releasing Soi Fon from what felt like an invisible grip.

"Now, I hope you understand. So if you wish to continue, I advise you to try again, but this time the right way."
