The Very Best

The time is close to the afternoon, Zed walked towards the office were officer Jenny is working.

Zed doesn't know what time Jenny's shift ends, but his judgment told him. It's the same as the standard time on Earth.

Strolling for a few minutes, he arrived in front of the building. Zed inhaled and walked inside a little worried. It's not his first time asking a girl for a date, but in his past life, it has been long since he experiences it. He was too busy because of his work, and also Zed just met officer Jenny today.

"Good afternoon, is officer Jenny here?"

A police officer looked at his direction, he was shocked at first seeing Zed then as a professional, he calmed down then talked. He saw Zed's fight a moment ago, what amazed him is this handsome young man knows the forever single officer Jenny.

"One moment, I'll call her."

The police officer walked towards her office. Then seconds later, officer Jenny came out wearing a casual black dress that improves her beauty more. In what Zed remembers, she always wore her police outfit, but looking at this side of her makes his heartthrob.

"I saw your fight lately! It was a blast!"

It was Jenny's first words the moment she sees him. Zed did not expect about it, he thought Jenny will ask her why is he their or something. She approached him with glimmered eyes.

"Oh? You were watching? And also, thank you." Zed replied while smiling. As always, her cheeks reddened with her eyes a little wide open. Their atmosphere started to become silent while the guard called Jenny smirked, looking at her.

Jenny is a wild type of woman, but in front of that young man named Zed, she acts like a tamed Pokemon.

"So... you are looking for me. How can I help you?" She asked while not looking at him. Zed inhaled deeply then requested.

"I know this might be a sudden invitation but, will you go on a date with me?" When Zed asked her, Jenny's mind went black. Yes, it was a sudden invitation to her. And also, as a woman that is single since birth, this was like an attack that she can't handle.

`Why is he asking me? Is he making fun of me? He's too good for me. What is this unexpected invite? We just met lately!` Many questions appeared in her mind, she was confused and afraid at the same time with no reason. Zed noticed this and asked.

"You already have a boyfriend? Sorry for asking you..." Zed was ashamed. He felt like an idiot asking for a date right away without even asking if she has a boyfriend.

"No, no, no, no, no! I don't have a boyfriend, it was just too sudden, and I was not prepared about it. Jeez! You need to understand women first." Jenny said while her pitch was shy. She then closed her eyes and tighten her fist.

"Okay, I accept your invitation," Jenny said, then looked at the other officer. She told him to close the station after he is done with what he is doing. The officer looked at Zed at gave him a thumbs up. Zed grinned at this and just shook his head with a slight smile.

They walked out of the station, breathing the fresh air outside, Zed then offered his elbow to Jenny. She was confused for a moment, but instantly realized what he was trying to do. She locked her elbow through Zed awkwardly then walked to a dating site in Pewter City.

As they walk to the streets, many people gazed at them. They know Jenny and named her as a beautiful officer. But what attracted them the most was the young man that is locking arms with her. He was the man that defeated their gym leader with ease. They also respect him for not being an arrogant person just because he was strong, and not only that. He was also very handsome, as well.

Zed realized this but did not mind about it, he was used to being a center of attraction from his past life. She looked at the smiling Jenny and asked.

"So? Where do you want to go? Or rather lead the way? You know I'm not from here."

Jenny giggled at his words, then replied.

"I know, and it's okay. Let me lead the way because I know this city, obviously." She smiled, then dragged him along the way.

They went to some food stalls and ate light snacks. Then they passed to a booth that got Jenny attracted, her eyes were focused on a single necklace. Zed noticed her gaze and stopped, he then went to the stall that got Jenny attracted then bought the necklace. Her eyes widened because the necklace is very expensive.

Zed then approached her and personally tied the necklace around her neck gently. A smile bloomed at her face as she was staring at the necklace, then she looked at Zed and suddenly tiptoed then kissed his cheeks.

"Thank you. Thank you very much." She said shyly.

Then, as they spend time and never noticed the time, the evening has arrived. Jenny led him to a place where there are few people. It was a famous dating site. A grassy plain that will comfort you like a cushion, and you can see the beautiful stars twinkled in the sky. They found a spot and sit on it.

"Thank you for your time, Jenny, it was fun. And I'm sorry for the sudden and selfish requests."

Jenny then shooked her head and responded.

"What are you trying to say, I know it was sudden, but I was having fun as well and also." She kissed his cheeks again and lifted the necklace. "Thank you for this gift, I will cherish it."

Zed smiled at this, Jenny is like a tomboy, but actually, she really is still a girl that needs attention more. She always focuses and does her job. Maybe this was the reason why she quickly trusted him.

He was taking advantage of it, Zed then felt terrible about it. But then, he realized something, what if he dates Daisy and Jenny together? Polygamy is legal in this world. He then thinks to set aside the thoughts then looked at her. There was still more time in the future, he thought.

Then, the night passed as they end their date, Zed kissed her forehead as their date ended. He rents a room in a hotel that Jenny introduced.

Tomorrow, its time for him to prepare and leave Pewter city, his next destination is the Cerulean gym and win the Cascade badge.
