For the final part, they had to hold hands together and repeat the chant three more times.

After that, a bright light would glow, making a symbol. The symbol would only be visible to the two of them.

All of a sudden, a bright light had emitted on both of their wrists.

The light was so bright that both of them were forced to close their eyes because of it.

After a few seconds had passed, the bright light had disappeared, and the both of them opened their eyes, only to see a strange mark on their arms.

Every seal binding had its different and unique mark, and this was no exception.

Lady Melissa shouted. Her eyes showed her excitement and happiness.

The mark for Duke Gaston was on his left wrist, while for Lady Melissa, it was on her right wrist, perfectly matching each other.

Though the both of them didn't know about it, this was each other's first seal binding.

"How do you feel? Are you okay?"

Duke Gaston had a worried look on his face, and he was afraid that Lady Melissa had felt discomfort when they had held hands.

But quite the opposite to his worries, Lady Melissa showed a wide grin and smiled.

"Don't worry about me! I'm completely fine."

"That's good to hear."

"Since we're done with the seal binding, we can go home now, right?"

Duke Gaston suddenly frowned, he knew he couldn't force Lady Melissa to stay with him the whole day, but he hoped she wouldn't leave so early.

He knew he shouldn't have let his hopes up, but for some reason, he did.

This was all a contract, and he wouldn't even be meeting Lady Melissa today if she hadn't asked him to join the rebellion.

"Yeah, we can go home now."

"Alright, let me pay for our food first, then we can leave."

After a few more minutes of the two of them bickering on who would pay, Duke Gaston was defeated.

Lady Melissa just had a certain way with words that left Duke Gaston with no choice but to give up.

"Don't look too sad about it, Duke Gaston Berniece Mieth, and you can pay for it next time~."

Lady Melissa gave a playful wink to Duke Gaston.

'Did Lady Melissa just say next time? So there's a chance I might be eating out with her again next time?'

Within a few minutes, a servant had arrived.

"Alright, miss, I'll take the dirty dishes first, and then I'll bring the bill to you if that's okay."

"Sure, please be quick, though."

"Would you like me to escort you to your carriage later, Lady Melissa?"

"No, you don't need to. Besides, it's only a few feet away from this place.. And rumors will spread if people see the great Duke Gaston escorting someone like me."
