The Wizard’s Love Spell

Chapter 27 - “Samelle”

Professor Avery started off dinner with a speech. Isabella wished that he would simply get on with it and she could start eating. She didn't have a proper lunch, she was starving. If her mother were there she would've said that Isabella is always 'starving'. And honestly she wasn't wrong. But Isabella couldn't help that she loved food so much.

He said a lot of stuff, much of which Isabella didn't pay attention to. She really only heard the part about third years going to Hogsmeade or something like that.

When Professor Avery stopped talking, and the food appeared, Isabella didn't waste a single second in digging into her food.

As she ate, she couldn't help but notice Michelle and Samuel deeply immersed in conversation at the Slytherin table, their heads in very close proximity. Isabella was very curious about them now. She'd ask Kaylene later (since she was in the same house as them), but for now...

"Mira?"

"Yeh?" She replied, her voice a bit muffled from the piece of bread in her mouth.

"So what exactly is happening with Michelle and Samuel?"

"I wondered when you'd ask...." Mira started, she set her bread down, "They go back a long time, further than when we first met, me, Adam, Michelle, Kaylene, Jane and Philip I mean. We met when we were around 10 or 11, we were at Diagon Alley, but that's a long story for another time. But Michelle and Sam, or as Kaylene calls them, Samelle, are childhood friends, more like childhood sweethearts to be honest though. Their parents were pretty close, their dads were like best friends here at Hogwarts, so they always kept in contact. The two families always gathered every holiday and always met up over summer break. Their dads are closer than family. So Michelle and Sam have always been really close. When Michelle was around eight, her family went through a tough time. She never told us what exactly had happened. Actually we really don't know anything at all about it. She isn't the type of person to open up. But Samuel went through it with her, she said he was by her side the whole time. She trusts him a lot. He's her best friend, they know each other better than anybody. But honestly they don't talk about their relationship. They've never referred to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend but honestly they're basically dating. I'm 99% sure they like each other."

"So.... nothing's confirmed." Isabella said.

"Basically yeah."

Isabella looked disappointed. She was hoping for a little more information.

"Sam plays Quidditch, Michelle never misses any of his games. You'll always see her cheering him on. Honestly the only ones who can't tell that they're in love with each other, is them." Then to herself, Mira said, "If they're not official by the end of this year, I'm taking matters into my own hands..."

"I'll be happy to help..." Isabella said, Mira smiled at her.

"You should've seen them at lunch today."

"What happened??"

"Wait... why weren't you at lunch today? You ran off and I didn't see you til the start of dinner."

"Oh. I... was at the library."

"Really? Hm ok..." Mira didn't sound too convinced but she went on to tell her about the 'Samelle' moment, another little lovey-dovey moment for those two, according to Mira.

They finished eating, and went up to the Ravenclaw common room with Mira. She passed by the Gryffindor common room on the way to hers. She caught Nick's eye and waved at him through the small opening of the Gryffindor room's door. He still had that sketchbook. She'd ask him about that tomorrow with Charlie. She'd been curious about that for a while.
