The World Of Demons And Gods

Chapter 26 - ‡※‡Glass Shop‡※‡

(Quick notice: Don't get confused to Lynae that she is a provider type spirit, not an armament type, she is just embedded inside the sword that's why she is a weapon. An armament type spirit does not need a vessel to be used by their owner; the spirit itself is the weapon.)

................

Cyrus had opened his eyes as he looked around finding his mother and father, unfortunately, the two could not be seen around the room.

"I wonder when they will return."

Cyrus muttered to himself silently before releasing a soft sigh.

He jumped out from his bed, "Now... What should I do?" he muttered as he stretched his back. Thinking of something, he had thought of something important as he made up his mind.

Cyrus opened the door as he slowly went downstairs towards the restaurant on the ground floor.

When the waiter earlier had seen him, he couldn't help to get nervous due to something that he had heard about this youth on his front, it was a news about this youth having an absurd cultivation rank at such a young age, and had easily smacked Gu Lu which is the top mercenary on this city with a single flash of fist!

Sadly, he did not see everything that had happened earlier with his own eyes because he accompanied the two masked people upstairs to check the room, however, he had seen the evidence, and that evidence was the big cracks on the floors and a huge hole on the other side of the wall.

Now, noticing this youth walking towards him, his weak heart could not help to palpitate very madly as his body went stiff. Soon, Cyrus waved his hands at him as he asked, "Mister, is there any glass somewhere around the city?"

The waiter quickly nodded fifty times in a single flash as he stuttered, "Y-yup! There is one single shop, just walk straight to the east and y-you'll see the glassworks sign."

Seeing his tensed expression, Cyrus smiled as he tapped the waiter's shoulder, "Relax." he said, before walking towards outside the inn.

When he left the inn, the waiter looked at his back with his eyes wide open before sighing as he smiled, "Hah~ such a good youngster."

"Waiter!"

"Y-yes!"

...

When Cyrus finally left the inn, many people around the area had noticed him and some of them had quickly figured who Cyrus is as they recognized his face.

"That's the youth that I am talking about!" One of them pointed at Cyrus as he shouted. Soon enough, the rowdy people had turned quiet for a minute as they stared at Cyrus.

"%#^@^!"

Gossips suddenly exploded in the surrounding area:

The elderly voice rang out, "That's the kid you're talking about? Isn't he too young!?"

"I heard he's already paladin rank, but why does he look skinny and even looked weak?" Some a.d.u.l.ts feel everything was inconvincible as they observed Cyrus, despite their doubts; they did not dare to bother him.

"Kyaa~! He's so handsome; he might be the prince that I am waiting for!"

"B*tch! That guy is mine!"

"Nah, you already have your pig-faced boyfriend of yours, back off!"

"He might be my daddy that had been pounding me last night!"

"..."

"..."

"You kids are disgusting... Just go home before I could tell everything about this to your parents!" When the a.d.u.l.ts heard this from young girls, especially the one who spoke last, one of the a.d.u.l.ts could not help to utter those words.

...

Hearing everything had escalated quickly and weirdly, Cyrus could not help to get awkward in front of many people, Cyrus tried to block his attention at them as he swiftly went past from the crowds while looking down.

Soon after he had escaped those trivial things, he finally went towards the east as he walked straight.

After some time of walking, Cyrus had finally reached the end of the road on the east side of the city, on the side of the street; there is a vintage looking store.

Above the door of that shop, there is a hanging sign that has a glass foundry symbols and below that symbol, there is a "Glassworks" name on it.

"Finally." Cyrus sighed in relief as he casually walks towards the shop and opened the door as he entered the shop.

...

When Cyrus had entered inside, what he had noticed that there are no customers around as the shop is completely devoid of people, making it the place extremely quiet.

However, Cyrus had noticed an old man quietly wiping glass wares silently as he glanced at Cyrus before continuing wiping his different kinds of glassware.

Cyrus walked towards him but before he could speak, the old man looked at him once again with a smile on his face.

What's up with this old man?

"Young lord, what can I help you?" The old man asked.

Cyrus gave a faint smile as he replied, "I only need vials, and do you have them?"

Hearing his words, the old shopkeeper couldn't help to sigh in disappointment as he was expecting Cyrus to buy his glass works out of arts that he had displayed all over the place here in this single room.

The old shopkeeper nodded his head, "Yes, we do have... however, beware due to high prices of goods; my product is naturally very expensive too... If you buy one you can take four for only five cyan crystal tablets." He replied casually as he removed his respect at this youngster.

Tch, another expensive thing... Cyrus could not help to curse inwardly as he gave up trying convincing this old shopkeeper.

{Lynae, can you give me five cyan crystal tablets?} Cyrus connected his thoughts at Lynae as he asked her. As soon as he said that, Lynae quickly replied, [Yes master!].

Cyrus chooses to do this way rather than taking his sword out just to take some items, he felt that it was weird if he did that, not only that, some people might feel threatened.

It also meant that Cyrus could not take items out when Lynae is not materialized as a sword.

When Cyrus lifted his right hand on his c.h.e.s.t level, he opened his palm and soon enough, five cyan crystal tablets that have a size of a paper money suddenly materialized from the air before slowly falling on his right palms.

Seeing it with his own eyes, the old shopkeeper was immediately startled as he, thought that Cyrus had used a spatial ring that only people who have a high background could only have them.

"Five cyan crystal tablets." Cyrus smile, however, he seems to hesitate for a bit before dropping these five tablets on the old shopkeeper with both of his hands open.

Cyrus felt that he was slightly regretting buying in this store, due to the price did not change at all even if he can take four if he bought one! Since everything cost five cyan crystal tablets, then each vial would cost one Cyan! Meaning, these five vials that he had ordered each cost one cyan crystal tablet!

In short, he did not get any discount at all! The old keeper just made it sound cheap!

However, this is better than nothing. Cyrus could not rebuke this old man just for vials; he could only endure it and swallow the words that he wanted to throw at this old man.

"Wait a minute..." The old keeper turned around as he went upstairs.

A couple of minutes later, the old shopkeeper returned with a smile on his face, while on his hands, he was holding a wooden box that contains five vials.

Cyrus was startled when he saw the quality of vials. It was fantastic!

"This is your vials... Thank you for your patronage." The old shopkeeper gave the wooden box carefully at Cyrus.

As soon as Cyrus had taken it, the old shopkeeper gave a slight bow at Cyrus.

Cyrus turned around and walked outside the shop.

...

When Cyrus was outside of the shop, he stopped for a minute and connected his thoughts at Lynae, {Lynae, get this box and extract those wet clothes that you had used and put the liquid inside the vial.} he said.

[Yes master!] Lynae immediately replied as he quickly took the wooden box that contained empty vials in a single flash of light.

"I need to return now." Cyrus stared at the skies before giving a slight sigh as he walked back towards the inn.

...

Time had passed; the sun had already sunk on the horizon leaving the bright and beautiful moon hanging on the space with its gracious light. This scenery could make any woman fall in love with it due to its beauty.

The streets were completely filled with people despite its already dark. The buildings were blazing with different colors of light as it lit up the entire city with its gorgeous lights and this night city life is livelier than the village where Cyrus had grown up.

This place had made Cyrus feel slightly suffocated around his space, as his comfort space had shrunken considerably in this place.

While walking on the side of streets, Cyrus looked and stared at the beautiful moon on the sky.

"Sis, wait for me..." Cyrus smiled as he muttered silently. Thinking about his sister, Clair, he could not help to remember the past with her and everything from the start to their temporary farewells. This made Cyrus smile as he was anticipating seeing his sister once again after this long journey!

...

Once Cyrus had returned the inn, he stared at the front of the inn and saw that there are many people than ever at the entrance, he sighed as he looked at the roof as he planned where he would start to get up there in his room.

Calculating everything, Cyrus had finally decided where to start as he took a single step back, before leaping swiftly into the air and jumped on the buildings without being noticed by someone, since most of the buildings are three storey tall, it was easy for Cyrus to get on top of it.

He silently walked towards at the window of their rented room before jumping inside it.

When he entered the room, he saw that both of his parents are already waiting for him with a slight smile on their faces. In this room, they did not wear their mask since the three of them are family.

"Where did you go?" Shane softly asked.

"I went to explore the city and bought small things," Cyrus explained as he sat on a chair near the window as he sighed in relief.

It seems he got exhausted due to his exposure from the public... My son is really introverted... Shane and James could not help to awkwardly smile as they thought of this.

"It's good that you didn't get lost though." James joking said.

Despite both of them are overly protective of their son, they knew that in this city, Cyrus wouldn't get hurt in this kind of place, even if he's alone he could protect himself even without them, as it was proven earlier in the morning.

Shane stood up as she walked towards Cyrus and lovingly c.a.r.e.s.sed her son's silky hair, "Dear, you have to rest now, after all, we are going to leave early in the morning tomorrow." She softly said.

Cyrus nodded, "Yes mother."

With that, both Shane and James walked outside the room to talk few things between the two, and as for Cyrus.

He scratched his hair not knowing what to do know, he thinking to either cultivate or sleep.

In the end, he chooses the latter as he quietly, snuggly lay his back on the bed, and soon enough, his mind slowly drifted apart as he quietly slept.
