As the bright moon lit up on the night skies, the city has not gone quiet until midnight but as time goes by, people on the streets went fewer and fewer until the clock on the plaza rang with a loud sound.

*Clang~! Clung~!* 2x

And at this time, it was already midnight, soon everyone is already quiet as they returned their homes, tired, and some are already sleeping silently.

However, some people are still up and some of them are James and Shane.

Outside the inn, both James and Shane are on the roof chatting to each other with a smile on their faces, however, this time, they frowned as they touched a serious matter.

"Before we could send Cyrus to the Alexandra Kingdom, let's have fun together with our son, even just for a while... before we could leave this 'place' and start our mission..." Shane stared at the moon above her head as she softly sighs.

Shane wanted to leave a memory with her son together before she could leave this place with her husband, because, both her and James does not exactly know when will they return to meet up with their children in the future.

There was always a huge probability that both of them might return for hundreds of years, and over those years. Cyrus and his sister might have already family or already gain their fame. Both of them were quite depressed by the fact that they would not be available to see the achievements of their children in their life.

"Okay... Shane, did you miss our daughter?" James faintly said when he had noticed that Shane had been staring on the moon for a while; soon enough, he followed her gaze as he stared at the beautiful moon above the dark starry skies.

"Mn..." Shane nodded as she returned her gaze to her husband, "But there's nothing to worry about her, she's strong and her talent is good as well, she would be safe in that place..." She softly said, however, the looks on her face could tell that she was gloomy.

Seeing the expression that she has right now, James could not help to give a long and deep sigh as he released all the worry on his heart. He stood up and slowly went at Shane's back before sitting once again.

"Sigh~ my love; do we really have to do this?" James softly asked as he spreads his arms wide before warmly hugging his wife tightly.

Feeling his warm hug, Shane's hearth could not help to get soft as she could feel the warmth of her husband. Shane smiled as she leaned her head on James' shoulder as she cuddled with him.

"Hehe."

Shane giggled before staring far away, as she looked at the stars on the horizon, "If the continents here and people from other realm had heard about this, that the two renowned divine slaughterers of the southeast and northwest had loved each other and built a family... I wonder what kind of reaction they would get." Shane muttered as she was amused by this fact.

Laughing softly, James could not help to sigh as he stared at the stars on the horizon, he slowly slides his hands and softly held Shane's hands, "It was all thanks to you... If I hadn't met you, the dark me would still be slaughtering people by now..." he softly said as he tightly held Shane's hands.

"Hahaha, as far as I can remember, you're really a mad dog prince! Even your king father couldn't do a thing for you." Shane softly laughed as she remembered something from the past.

"Oh! You remembered that!? Hmph, if I am the mad dog, then you are the mad cat! Back then, we really hate each other down to the bones, we are both water and fire as well, but despite all that. Our red string of fate had already knotted us together; we started to notice our hardsh.i.p.s, sorrow, and happiness until we develop our love... And now, we're here together and built a loving family."

James recalled everything from the past softly, every scene of their moment in their life had entered on his mind once again, remembering these things; James lovingly cuddled Shane.

Hearing and feeling his words and action, Shane felt that she was glad to have a man like him that appreciate her despite her enormous errors in her life as a cold and fierce slaughterer, however, James was the same, he felt proud and grateful that he met Shane that appreciates him and loved him.

Their bond as lovers is stronger than anything because a strong relationship requires choosing to love each other, even in those moments when they struggle to like each other's faults, they learned to accept and exchange the love they had towards each other.

As Shane stared at the stars, "However, doing and completing this mission is for the best of us... And for the future of our children... I know that doing this mission is extremely dangerous especially when our powers and abilities are currently on emperor rank... And the possibility of losing our lives is on the line as well, however, despite this... I would always hope for the heavens that it would allow us all to reunite as a whole in hundred years later..." She faintly explained as her heart was filled with worries and sadness.

Her gaze at the starry night sky on the horizon soon turned to be blurry as she quietly fell asleep comfortably on James' warm shoulders.

When Shane finally lost her consciousness, James bitterly smiled as he bit his lips. Beneath his hands, there is a smoke-like gas emitting from his palms.

This smoke had made anxious Shane make her fell asleep quietly.

"I... I'll do whatever I can to protect all of you... as for all of you are my loved ones." James muttered silently, soon a single bead of tear dripped on Shane's beautiful face.

"J-James... I love you..." Shane positioned herself comfortably on James' arms when she uttered that soft voice with a smile on her face.

"Mn... I love you too and thank you for everything, Shane..." As he stared at his sleeping wife, James thought to himself, Thank you for giving me a life that I had been dreaming.

James c.a.r.e.s.sed Shane's cheeks as he fixed her hair that covered her face.

Soon, as time goes by, James had also felt dizzy.

He stood up and carefully carried Shane back inside the room. As he entered on the window, he looked at sleeping Cyrus before smiling at him with warmth.

He slowly put Shane on the bed before laying his self right only beside Shane as they quietly slept together.

As the moon sunk on the horizon, the sun followed as it immediately went up and shone brightly giving the world warmth and brightness, this warm light nourished every living thing on this world.

This light did not stop spreading on the great plains of Annesly and soon enough, this light had reached Jade city.

Slowly, the light crawled at Cyrus handsome young face, his jade white skin and brown hair radiated with brightness as the light was nourishing it and the nature around him, his two earrings on his right ears flashed with light due to the sunray.

Despite his body looked skinny and weak to look at, his body is packed up with muscles that compressed together making it looked like skinny, not only that. His young body is radiating with a fearsome aura that could choke any person below his rank.

And when the ray of light had hit Cyrus' eyelashes, his eyes twitched. Soon, Cyrus opened his eyes and his hazelnut brown eyes had completed his handsome appearance.

"It's already morning?" Cyrus muttered.

It has been days had passed when he was not able to sleep at night due to his reducing anima inside his dantian, however, with Lynae's help. He had solved this problem and as of now, he was finally able to sleep.

However, Cyrus did not feel contented as he felt he needed to sleep one more time. Remembering that they are going to leave early in the morning, which is right now, he decided that he should get up.

He pulled his body upward and sat on his bed, he stretched his back and his neck creating a popping sound before standing up. As soon as he did that, he did basic stretches.

"Oh, you're awake... Good morning son." A soft voice similar to a harmony song had resounded and Cyrus had clearly heard it as he looked at the person with a smile on his face.

"Good morning, mother."

Seeing his beautiful mother, Cyrus could not help to get energetic as he noticed that Shane was already preparing their meal. However, currently, she is making a tea for herself.

As Cyrus had seen this, he saw how graceful is his mother is and the beauty of her that could topple the kingdom is indeed showing its might right now.

Inside of Cyrus thoughts, the only thing that he could utter is,
