Through Apocalypse

" I need to pass this to coach first." Huang Jin then went to open the door when..

" Let me come I'm here also to visit my friend. He works as the coach here."

"Really Big brother? Let's go... I can't wait to see what coach looks like"

Upon entering the gym many equipments scattered here and there. Students chattering.

Huang Jin and Xun Wen was sitting in the corner of the gym. They can see Xun Wei talking to their coach.

"Xiowen, I wan't to eat pudding. Can we?"

"Okay, let's go together with Big brother after his talk to coach."

"Is it okay? Is he not busy?"

"No, when he comes home. Usually it tends to be a month or two before he goes back. So it's okay.

It's rare for Big brother, so when that happens we always make sure he rest and have fun during his holiday."

"Hmm.. okay." Huang Jin was smiling happily.

"What's wrong? Did you not sleep well?" Seeing  Huang Jin rubbing his eyes until it turns red.

"Stop that your going to hurt your eyes if you keep doing that. What did I tell you ? If your sleepy just lay down and close your eyes. Come here I'll give you my shoulders to lean on" Xio Wen patted his shoulders.

"No, maybe because i had a nightmare? I felt like i was asleep for 10 years. When i woke up i felt tired. Like i did not sleep at all"

"What about? Where you scared? You can tell me. Atleast it will make you feel better." Feeling worried Xio Wen soothes Huang Jin and rubbing his back.

He can see Ahjin worrying if his going to tell him or not and stilled and he felt that Ahjin was ready to say it.

" At first i didn't understand it? It passed like a normal day. But then when i fell asleep then woke up. I thought I was really awake that time? You see? Until now my hands are shaking. I can stop it. I felt like crying." Showing His shaky hands to Xun Wen.

"Then that day  it just happen. I heard people crying, running. I saw them feeling scared? Running for their lives.

Someone or something was running after them? Human but not. It's skin was rotten. Some where missing. Some where bleeding.  They walk like those zombies on the zombie movies we always watch you remember?.

They chase their victims and bites them and eat them. And then those where eaten turns to zombies as well. It was so grotesque at first i didn't believe it was happening.

I wanted to scream Xiowen. But every time I wanted to It won't let me. It felt like suffocating me in the inside. It was horrifying. I felt scared and alone.

Then in a snap I was with my Dad he was dying in my arms. I felt his vitality dwindling. And then he told me he doens't want to turned into a zombie. He gave me his knife and told me to stab him here in his head." Huang Jin gestured his head with his shaky hands.

" A nightmare i can't wake up. I wanted to find you. the year when it happen we we're suppuse to meet and eat outside. I tried calling you and went to our meeting place but i didn't find you.

You know? After that we met after a year. I was so happy I cried so much, You where with my step mom and her son and daughter. But you where also bitten, full of blood. You wanted to say something to me but i can't understand you.

I tried you know but you where dying. I felt like dying too seeing you like that so bloody Xiowen  I was really scared. So scared I felt like everyone was leaving me behind. I felt like I was being punished. Always late every time." Huang Jin tried to wipe his falling tears still every drop still continues stream down his face. His eyes red and wet. Nose red and quevering lips breathing hard.

"I tried to live my life even though I know that it's going to be difficult with out you and my dad. I just felt thankful that I Have my step mom and and half brother and sister.

And then I met him he was called Wei Ning he saved my life the first time, the second time and all the time. He trained me to survive the apocalypse. And i did i was able to survived with him. I was very thankful that I met him. "

9 years passed, He told me they where just going to looked for supplies. I told Ihim going with him. But he told me to not worry.  So that day i waited for him.

Then I saw my step brother, he was smiling like crazy, when he was near me that was the time I felt like there was something was wrong. That's when he inject me with something then i black out."

Huang Jin now was full blown crying. Both his hands was  on his face trying to wipe his tears.

Then he felt someone embrace him from his back. Warm hands strongly holding his wast like it was anchoring him from his past life and this life.

His whole body secured and shielded from everybody.

He turned his face and saw Xun Wei's face full of worries and anxiousness. He nestled his face between Xun Wei's neck. He closed his eyes and tried to feel and savour the warmth and security.

" That's when I woke up and saw my body strap in an chair. and that's when i realized what happened. Wei Ning was killed and murdered by my step brother. He told me that it was him who left my dad to be eaten and killed by me.

He was there Xiowen, watching me killing my own father with my own hands. He told me it him who drag you and neglected you to the zombies as he watched me crying like a fool and he was laughing inside.

He told me he liked watching me happy and smiling liked a fool with Wei Ning and then suffer afterwards after I realized that Wei Ning will be killed.

Wei Ning did not suspect them because they where my family. We where together for 8 years you know.  I was really happy." Seeing Huang Jin's smile, so soft and so full of love then seconds after that full of anguish and hatred and sadness like Xun Wen never seen before.

" And then he told me what he did to Wei Ning in details, I was full of hatred. I wanted  to kill him and torture him. But I was helpess because I was so weak that time he injected me with something.  I felt so hopeless.

He tortured me till I was numbed to the bones. I was full of hatred and bitterness until I passed out then... I woke up this morning feeling tired and I just cried and cried. i felt despair and hope that i woke up.

" And Xiowen? It all felt real"
