Time Turner

Vianzo's brown eyes stared at Alfizar with such an intensity that if looks could kill, Alfizar sure he will die several times over. His brown eyes were so sharp, and now that Alfizar searched intently for any changes of expression, he could see the slight movement of his eyelids.

Alfizar almost thought that he imagines seeing Vianzo's eyes darken with something Alfizar could not guess, but it disappeared as soon as it comes.

"I don't have the last name." Vianzo looked away from Alfizar's eyes that have stood his ground without looking away. "Why did you suddenly ask me that question?" Alfizar noticed that Vianzo's voice was flat. As if he was carefully controlling it to not show any emotion.

"Well, the first time you introduced yourself to me when I transferred in. You only say your first name. I hesitate to ask since we were not that close back then. But now that I think we are friends. I thought it was fine to ask now because I'm curious. I'm sorry. I should have noticed that we are not that close yet." Alfizar said while lowering his head. His words carefully said to guilt trip Vianzo.

The words of friends will throw Vianzo off if there was really something wrong with him.

And the response Alfizar expecting was-

"It's alright, we are friends. I'm just a bit s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e with that topic since I hate my biological father." Vianzo shook his head with a soft-pained smile.

That was the response Alfizar preparing himself for.

"Still, I'm sorr-"

"DID THE TWO OF YOU WANT TO STAND OUTSIDE THE CLA.S.S?!" Alfizar shut his mouth. Both of them turned their head to their respective touchscreen table. A lot of students snickered.

"SHUT UP AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE CLA.S.S!" The old lady screamed in rage, and in an instant, the students shut up in fear. The class fell into a fearful silence.

"It's alright," Vianzo whispered without looking up.

Vianzo was Vi. Alfizar 90% sure about that. And if that 10% did not exist, then Vianzo was lying about them never met, or he has forgotten.

What happened? Har or rather Harloz used to be a polite and kind boy, who was always worrying about Vianzo, who used to have a messed up personality. And now, why did their role get change?

Harloz was an Academic Star Killer? Why did that rumor sound so stupid to Alfizar now? So hard to believe.

Alfizar did not want to believe that Vianzo has something to do with this. he didn't want to suspect his friend. But after remembering the past memory. Alfizar has a hard time maintaining the friendly feeling he has towards Vianzo.

Vianzo's attitude towards him when they were children was horrible. So horrible that young Alfizar wanted to run away every time he saw Vi. But for some reason, Vi kept coming after him, along with Har who could always be seen not far from Vi.

Alfizar was not aware of a pair of eyes that watched over his and Vianzo's interaction. Nor did he aware that Frans whose seat was not far from his and Vianzo also watching and strained his ear to listen to their conversation.

DING~ DONG~

The teacher scowled when she heard the school bell rang followed by a pop music playing, indicating it was the break time before another hour of study.

"I expect you to write down EVERYTHING I have explained and sent to my email before next week. YOU HEAR ME?!" She screamed loudly while looking at Alfizar and Vianzo with an evil smirk. That homework obviously aimed at him and Vianzo because they didn't pay attention. She left with her chin high.

Vianzo slammed his head to the now flat blank screen table. Obvious;y he was thinking about how to finish that homework.

Someone pat Alfizar's shoulder so he looked back to find Frans grinning at him, Rachzi and Dioz were also there.

"I'm hungry. Let's go to the cafeteria." Frans said while tugging Vianzo's sleeve. "Let's go. I'll help you with that ridiculous homework later. Who told you to not paying any attention?"

After they arrived at Cafeteria, they let the worker to scanned their USID to make sure they haven't eaten here today, for Dioz and Vianzo forgot to bring their USID which probably left on their electronic table's port for USID.

So Vianzo and Dioz left to look for their respective USID.

Alfizar, Frans, and Rachzi choose an empty table and sat on the seat to wait for their meal.

Frans looking at Rachzi with an uncomfortable look as he kept glancing at Alfizar every now and then.

"You have something to ask?" Alfizar guessed. And unsurprisingly Frans nodded, but he still looks uncomfortable to talk. The way he looked at Rachzi as if he was asking for approval. Rachzi gave Frans the 'Go ahead an ask' head gesture.

"Just say it," Alfizar encourage.

Hesitantly, Frans began by placing two USID on the table. It was Dioz's and Vianzo's. Alfizar looked up in surprise.

"You were pranking them?" Alfizar raised his eyebrows amused.

But Frans shook his head and said seriously, "No, but I'm making a perfect opportunity for us to talk."

Hearing the serious tone which is quite unusual when it came from Frans, Alfizar also get serious.

"What do you want to talk about?"

"You noticed that there's something wrong with Vianzo?" Rachzi said when he noticed that Frans couldn't begin.

"I just noticed it... recently," Alfizar admitted. So there's something amiss with Vianzo even before? How blind was Alfizar for him to not notice that?

"When did you notice it?" Alfizar directed his question at Rachzi. But Rachzi waved his hand in response.

"Actually, I didn't notice anything at all. Frans did. He might act stupid. But Frans is surprisingly observant."

"And I'm surprised that you noticed my clue dropping act, Razi." Frans huffed as he glared at Rachzi for that 'act stupid' comment.

Alfizar looked at the two in confusion, Frans was kind enough to clear Alfizar's confusion.

"I have noticed that Vianzo was strange since you were transferred in, Alfi."
