Chapter 43 - Serious talk

"And why you also took Dioz's USID?" Alfizar asked as he pointedly looked at the two USID cars on the table.

"Dioz has been busy trying to impress your little sister, his crush. So I'm not surprised that he didn't notice. And you, Alfizar. You only have been here not for long. Two weeks was it? So I'm not surprised that you didn't notice any change in our behavior." Frans said.

"Ah, a few days ago I have a feeling that you are targetting Vianzo with your loose tongue." Alfizar turned to look at Frans with a questioning looked. "Am I right?"

"Those were not my usual thoughtless remark. But I'm really targetting him." Frans admitted. "You know, Vianzo is not the kind of person that can easily get along with new people. Took him a month before he could easily join me, Razi, and Dioz at the cafeteria. But with you, I have a feeling that it was him that tried to befriend you instead of the other way around." Alfizar nodded to confirm.

At the time when Vianzo 'rescued' him from a group of students who tried to ask him questions because it was his first day at GIPEC, Alfizar didn't think much about it. But if Vianzo has a hard time to befriend others to that point. Then it means that Vianzo was the one who befriends Alfizar, not the Alfizar who tried to befriend him.

"That day when Emma got pierced by the arrow," Frans said as he turned to Rachzi. "You called Vianzo because Alfi was alone at the Archery Club right?"

Rachzi looked up to the ceiling as he tried to recall the event. Then he nodded. "Yeah, I called him because I need to take Emma to the Hospital Building and have to leave Alfi alone."

Alfizar, after being mentioned in their conversation a few times, feel the shame of being so weak back then. It was when he just recovered so he didn't have as much stamina and his newly made friends already worry so much, to the point of not being able to leave him alone. Alfizar's face feels hot as he wants to dig a hole and hide from his friends.

"I was not far from Vianzo when you called him, Razi. I'm pretty sure Vianzo was not aware that I was behind him." Frans leaned back in his chair. "When you called him. I can hear you told him to go to Archery Club because you need to take Emma to Hospital Building. But he didn't ask much about what happened. His face looked unhappy. He was about to leave when I decide to ask where he was going. He was startled so hard that he actually jumped away from me."

"And you know what?" Frans' eyes showed an emotion Alfizar can't read. "He said a girl got pierced by an arrow. A detailed I never heard through the phone call."

"I didn't tell him Emma was pierced by an arrow! I only said that I'm taking Emma to the Hospital building!" Rachzi said in surprised.

"That I know." Frans sighed. Alfizar absorbed the information as his heart grow heavy with every second pass by.

"If we didn't found Desta Carazo, yesterday, I will still be suspecting Vianzo even now." Frans's words sound like he was relieved, but his expression said there were still things he wants to say.

"After hearing that. I understand why you would feel that way, Frans. I also feel like that. I don't want to suspect my friends. And we didn't have any proof." Rachzi shook his head.

"Remember that threat message?" Frans got nods from Alfizar and Rachzi. "Who the first person who suggested to began searching GIPEC Art's Gallery?"

Alfizar stared at Frans in surprised. "Vianzo." Frans nodded grimly. (chapter 15)

"When Dioz was talking about Hacker... Where was Vianzo?" Alfizar asked because he can't remember Vianzo saying anything about the matter.

"He was in the room. But silent the whole time." Rachzi said as he tried to remember.

Then Alfizar thinks back to the time before Dioz took them to Tech Club to meet Aurina.

"You are sharp," Vianzo seems to be a little distracted.

"It's good to be sharp, but being such a thinker is not always a good thing." What does Vianzo mean by saying that?

"I bet there's no brain inside his skull, Razi. Instead of a brain, there must be a knife inside that head!" Frans laughed. But now Alfizar noticed there's something hidden behind that sentence.

"Frans..." Alfizar called out to gained Frans' attention, and he did.

"How far did you suspected Vianzo, enough to say that there's knife inside Vianzo's head instead of a brain?" Alfizar whispered lowly.

"Ah, I noticed that somethings wrong also from that sentence, Frans. But I don't understand how you piece things together like that." Rachzi said ad he looked at Frans with eyes full of expectation for his answer.

"Living with a family full of schemers do that to you," Frans muttered under his breath, he didn't seem to want to say that purposefully.

"What?" Rachzi asked as he didn't quite catch what Frans said. But Alfizar did, and now he wondered what Frans mean by that.

'Family full of schemers?' Alfizar thought.

"We already know Vianzo for awhile, Razi," Frans said quickly.

"He acted weird when Alfi transferred in, he knows that incidents detailed even if you didn't tell him, he directed us to search the art gallery, for someone observant like me, I could tell that something is wrong with him. At that time, I thought he might have something to do with the incident. Then I also suspect that he has something to do with the number of students who got something happened to them, cruel enough that they even move to another city. That's why I say that he has a knife-brain." Frans explained, then he suddenly looked behind Alfizar as he broke into a loud laugh.

In between of his laugh, while still holding his stomach as if he was in pain by laughing too much. Frans whispered quickly in between the laughs.

"We will talk again later! They are here!"

And true enough, Vianzo and Dioz walked toward them with a frustrated expression.

"Let it go?!" Vianzo raged.

"-I think we have a lot to discuss."

"Give up!" Henry said breathlessly.

"No!" ]
