Chapter 49 - Cathleen's Crush

Indeed, Cathleen really has never seen Henry before, neither did Henry. Henry only knew that others couldn't found out that Aurina was going to use the main computer to get what they need in the database. And that reason alone was enough for Henry to quickly think up an excuse and distract the girl and let Alfizar and Aurina make their way to the main computer's room.

"This is the first time I come to this part of GIPEC." Henry smiled as he stepped into the room. Cathleen's eyes narrowed in suspiciously.

"Why did you come here?" Cathleen took a step back.

Henry timely showed her an embarrassed look. "Listen, I'm the kind of people that student from the Computer Club or Tech Club was calling computer blind. Two days ago Prof. Randors told me to make a simple site if I want to at least get a C in his class." Henry wasn't really lying actually.

Mr. Randors, his Professor really have him to make a site if he wants to pass. He really is a Technology Idiot. Usually, it was Aurina who helped him in any homework he has. But because how hectic things are these past few days, and he also forgot about it. He used it as an excuse now. Cathleen's guard looks instantly melt away as she smiled cheerfully.

"I know how strict Prof. Randors could be." She giggled as her whole body relaxing.

"So... can you-"

"Let me guess! You need help?" Cathleen smiled brightly as she playfully stopped Henry from finishing his words.

"Y-yeah. Can you help me?" Henry asked her. She happily agreed as she took his wrist and pulled Henry to one of the Computers that coincidentally facing the wall. She sat him on the seat as she pulled another seat nearby and sat beside him after she turned the Computer on.

"Tell me what kind of site Professor told you to make."

Aurina stared blankly at Henry and Cathleen. They sat too close!

"Your friend purposefully sat as close as possible to Henry." Alfizar who was also crouching down behind her said lowly as he kept snickering. Aurina turned to look at her brother and they shared a look.

Then Aurina looked at the duo again when Henry suddenly laughed loudly. Henry left arm raised up to his head as if he was going to scratch the back of his head. But in fact, he was showing them a thumbs up. As if telling them "I'll handle her!".

Alfizar mentally claps his hands in praise for Henry. Alfizar suddenly remembered having a vision of Henry reporting a successful infiltration mission to him. He was talented.

"Let's go," Aurina said. Then they carefully made their way towards the main computer's room. They make sure to make no noise and Henry was making sure to keep Cathleen's attention on him. Aurina took a second to glance at Cathleen and almost burst out laughing if not for Alfizar who quickly smacked his palm towards her mouth to stop her from laughing. They finally make it safely to the strangely-not-locked room and closed the door.

"What are you laughing about? What if your friend notice us?" Alfizar said with his hand on his c.h.e.s.t. He was so shocked when he saw Aurina's blank face suddenly turned weird and there's a sign of her about to laugh. Thanks to his quick move, Aurina didn't mess it up.

"Didn't you see her face?!" Aurina makes sure her voice was not too loud, but she still can't suppress the giggles that kept pouring out of her. Alfizar looked at her in confusion.

"Her face is so red! She is blushing! Don't you understand what that means?!" Aurina giggled again as she sat on the seat in front of the big main computer.

'Girls...' Alfizar shook his head amused.

"Eh?" Aurina's giggled abruptly stop as she looked at the monitor in confusion.

"What's wrong?" Alfizar asked as he leaned closer to take a look.

"No wonder this room is not locked looks like Cathleen was using this computer before we came here. I even prepare this for us to unlock the door." Aurina took out a thick needle like metal and showed it to Alfizar. As Aurina clicked on the mouse here and there, her face looks increasingly upset.

"I think even before we began the search on the culprit's ally, we already found her, brother." Her voice was heavy with disappointment.

"So... it was Cathleen?" She nodded heavily. "How do you know?" Alfizar asked, and in answer, she pointed at a light yellow thick device that looks old, and USB connects to the computer's ports.

"This is Tech Club's old version of firewall cracker. In this USB stored the tampered version of CCTV's footage, we have seen a few days ago. I've checked the hidden source code in the fake footage and it matched this USB. In other words, those footages were uploaded from this USB. Now that I see this old firewall cracker here. I can guess what she is trying to do." From those pieces of information Alfizar heard from Aurina just now, he could also guess what Cathleen was going to do.

"The culprit probably have told Cathleen that we might come back to infiltrate the backup database when my Virtual Hammer is 'fixed'. So she was trying to mess with the backup database." But Aurina suddenly giggled.

"I see. So far she has no luck in trying to find to the password to make her way in." In the small monitor next to the big one displayed dozens of numbers that is probably security code. "Don't tell me she was trying one by one?" Aurina said in a mocked pity. Alfizar looked at Aurina amused, this is the first time he saw this... 'dark' side of his little sister.

Aurina shook her head with a smile on her beautiful young face. She took out her device and connected it to the main computer after she yanked out the old firewall cracker out of the computer's port. She stretches her back, arms, and fingers.

She was preparing herself to infiltrate the backup database.
