Chapter 42. I want to act in this

"What do, do you said just now?"

Zhu Yi asked with a shaking voice as he stared at Ren with wide eyes.

"Yeah, I really liked the screenplay and I wanted to take a audition for the main lead role."

"Bu-but, do you really liked it that much?"

"Yeah, it was great."

Ren said with certainty. Now that he knew he wanted to do the drama, he wanted to say his thoughts clearly.

Although Ren was thinking like that, Zhu Yi didn't knew what to think of it.

At first she had approached the table to show Li Xinru her project. She wanted Li Xinru to play the female lead.

But Li Xinru was clearly disinterested in doing the drama, she also left without reading the whole story.

She felt bad thinking about this but after that, Ren had complimented her story and even said that he wanted to have a audition for it.

It was too much of a surprise for her but she tried to stay calm as she said.

"Don't you have to talk with your agency about it, first?"

"I have to but I will able to persuade them. You don't have to worry about it."

Ren said as shook her head. Jiang Wan was planning to choose his next project these days and if there is a project Ren wanted to do, he would surely consider it.

That's what he had said to him. Ren felt that he would be able to convince him.

"Well, you can but I would have to go ask the production company, first."

Zhu Yi was still a new writer and was doing her first drama. She didn't have enough power to cast an actor, especially the main lead.

She had to do things calmly. She was also curious about whether if Ren would be able to do the role or not.

She knew that he had already prove his acting but his last role was of a crazy lunatic guy and the main lead in the drama is a completely different character.

He is also the backbone of the drama. She didn't knew if Ren would be able to survive in that much pressure.

He was a rookie actor who had done only one movie, she has her own reservation about him.

"Um, sorry but I will surely talk after fixing a date with the production."

"You don't have to worry about it but can I have your contact."

"Yes, yes, sure, here."

Zhu Yi said as she handed him a name card and they started to talk.

"Um, can I request you something?"

As they were talking, Zhu Yi suddenly said that with a pleading expression. She seems to want to say something but she didn't knew how to say it.

Finally, after a while, she finally opened her mouth.

"Ca, can you please talk to Ms. Li Xinru about this project?"

It looks like Zhu Yi was still adamant on casting Li Xinru. That's she asked Ren as she thought that he was close with her.

"I will talk to her but I don't think she will be interested."

Zhu Yi let out a confused voice when she heard that but Ren was pretty sure that Li Xinru will not be interested in this project.

First of all, she had already decided to act in a romantic comedy and her role was also of a female lead.

She was also not interested in this drama after reading the synopsis which means that it will be hard to persuade her.

Ren also was not on the level to convince her to act in this drama, their friendship was not on that level.

Due to this reasons, Ren was sure that Li Xinru will reject this drama even if he requested her. He also didn't want to hurt their friendship by doing this.

"I think she had got a role in a romantic comedy and will not be free for this project."

"Is that so? It's a pity. I had thought that she will fit as the female lead but it's okay."

As Ren gave a straightforward answer, Zhu Yi shoulders dropped a little but she quickly pushed aside the topic and started talking to Ren about the drama and other things.

In the end, both Ren and Zhu Yi left on a happy note.

Zhu Yi was a little sad that she wasn't able to get Li Xinru as the female lead but she was happy that she met Ren who she liked very much.

She thought that he would fit in the character of Rei, the male lead as he was young but he has a m.a.t.u.r.e feel to him. She was also impressed by his attitude.

On the other hand, Ren was pretty excited because of the fact that he was able to meet a famous writer today and even got himself a audition.

If he can act in this project, Ren knew that he would be able to make a leap in the industry, he would not be called a rookie actor anymore.

He would be a full fledged actor.

Because of this, he wasn't able to sleep properly the whole night. He was excited and anxious bit only because of the project but also the fact that he had to go through Jiang Wan to really act in the project.

Nowadays, he was checking new projects for him. Ren wonder what will his reaction is going to be when he will show him the synopsis of «The stars above».

When he was thinking about that, he suddenly received a call in the morning.

-Hello, Ren, It looks like Chief Jiang had chosen your next project. He told us to come to the meeting room A directly.

It was White bear who was on the call but Ren was too surprised by his words to listen to him.

-Hello, are you listening? I am going to pick you up in an hour....…

He wonder what will happen now.
