Chapter 45. Reality show

"What do you mean by a reality show, Chief?"

Ren asked Jiang Wan with wide eyes. He had no idea that he was going to be on a reality show.

"Well, you should thank your manager for it. He worked hard for it and even persuaded the producer to get you some screen time."

Ren instinctively looked towards White bear when he heard that and White bear was showing him his usual carefree smile.

Ren finally understood why White bear was so calm when Jiang Wan had revealed that he was going to be on a reality show.

He knew about it all along or should he say that he was one to grab this opportunity.

"That's why he is going to the drinking parties a lot these days."

White bear had been frequenting drinking parties these days, so he was a little worried for him.

"Hehe, I am great, right."

White bear said as he smiled. He was glad that Ren was surprised by his surprise.

"Yeah, you are."

Ren said as he turned back towards Jiang Wan and Director Zhao. He wanted to ask many things from him but he knew that he was still in a meeting.

"Well, you are surprised right. We were also when he told us that there was a reality show which want to feature you."

"Yeah, I was also surprised when he did that. I didn't thought that he had such ability."

White bear smiled embarrassingly when he heard that as he scratched his chin.

He was surely happy that he was being praised by his superiors.

"So, what kind of reality show it is?"

Ren asked curiously. He still didn't knew what type of show he was going to feature in.

"Well, it's a quiz show, so audiences would get to know your character better this way. It's a relatively famous show called Whiz stars. You must have heard of it."

Ren nodded at that. It was a reality show that was famous nowadays. The show format was relatively easy, it was a quiz show.

In this, the main MCs would ask the celebrities invited into the show many different type of questions and if they can't answer it, there will be penalties.

Of course, there would also be rewards if the questions are answered correctly.

The main reason this show was popular was because of the questions that were wacky and unexpected sometimes.

People also liked it due to the various reactions of the MCs. Overall, it was a show that can help Ren make his image better.

"So, what do you think about it?"

Director Zhao asked him and Ren said with a slight nervous expression.

"Although I am excited, it would my first time going on a reality show, I am afraid that I will make some mishaps."

You have to work hard for just a little screen time.

"Don't worry about it, you will not be alone. Wu Qing from our company would also be with you."

"Wu Qing from Tristine!!"

It was not Ren that shouted that. It was White bear. It looks like he didn't knew that Wu Qing would also be on the show.

"Yeah, she was going for another reality show on the same public network but that got cancelled, so she got selected for Whiz stars."

"Yeah, although she is tough to take care of sometimes, she is still better than many stars."

"Really?"

Ren asked with a questioning look as he had never worked with her before. Despite being in the same company, they had also never met each other.

He wonder what her personality would be like.

"Can you believe it? I was rejected from a show in which my appearance was almost confirmed!!"

Wu Qing shouted while sitting on the backseat of the van. She was pissed off as she was rejected from a show.

"But you are going to be in Whiz stars, right. I heard that it was famous these days."

Her manager said trying to appease her. He was working with her for a long time, so he knew what her personality was.

"It's not about that. They are only doing it as a compensation. They rejected me from their show, it was a insult on me. Just because I haven't release any songs lately…"

Her manager smiled awkwardly when he heard that. The reason she was rejected from the show was because they found another idol who was hot nowadays to replace her.

Wu Qing popularity had come to a stop these days, it was because she had not release any songs lately.

An idol popularity can fade away easily if they were not on the spotlight for long as there were many people wanting to replace them.

There was a large abundance of idols in the entertainment industry. Here, everything is replaceable.

"Oh, I heard that you are going to the show with Xin Ren, so please behave well."

"Who??"

Wu Qing tilted her head when she heard that. She was not able to remember whether she had heard that name or not.

"Huh? You don't remember. He's a new actor that has contracted with out company. His acting in «Secret spy» was also great."

"Oh, that crazy bastard."

"Don't say that when you meet him. His real personality is nice from what I had heard."

Her manager said as he frowned. She was praying that Wu Qing did not misbehave with him.

"Well, I will decide that."

Wu Qing said as she smiled meaningfully and her manager frowned when he saw this.

"Don't do anything rash. There are many good rumours about him and I even heard that the CEO was looking out for him."

"The CEO? She is not the type to give favour to someone."

Wu Qing said as she thought of the figure of the CEO which was imposing. She could not imagine her give favour to someone.

"Well, it's something like that..."

Her manager said as he described the event of the bullying of Xiao Rin and how Ren had helped her.

He knew this because it had already spread throughout the company and everyone knew of it.

Because of this, Ren's image in the company has became very good. Many people wanted to befriend him as there was a rumour that he has the CEO's favour.

"Well, it's interesting..."

Wu Qing said when she heard the whole story.

After hearing the story, there was various thoughts in her mind.

She herself has been a trainee, so she can somewhat sympathise with Xiao Rin but she was more interested in Ren.

She can't wait to meet him. She was thinking that it will be interesting meeting him.
