Tori Walker And The Wand Of Light

Chapter 8 - Getting strong together

Tori sat near Jeanne, who was exhausted after her session inside the Magic Simulation Hall. Some of the near-death and death experiences were new to her. And gave her a lot of pressure and made her think more about the world which they live in. It wasn't only her, but every single student also had the same expression. Their age was not very high compared to other students of the school, but this was their beginning, and the world is no longer the same as before. They need to be prepared before heading out in the world.

Tori wanted to say something to Jeanne, but Zeril and other in the final batch finally returned from their time in the Magic Simulations Hall. Although the expression of Zeril was not as bad, others were not the same. All of them fell onto the ground. Zeril and Tori both are the oddities of the world and cannot be measured in the same way as others.

After everyone from the latest batch sat down, Harry came in front carrying a hard face.

"How many of you died in the simulation?" Harry asked.

Everyone except Tori who didn't participate raised their hands.

"You maybe have questions about why we are letting you experience a simulation like these; you are all only first years." Harry looked at the sad faces of the students.

"Professor, I am not sad or resentful due to the simulations hall." One of the students stood up to speak. "I am just sad to see what our parents and family members faced during the war. We were enjoying our lives too much."

"Hahaha, you will be surprised if I tell you a fact about the simulation hall." Harry smiled and looked at the student. "The simulation everyone of you faced today was only on ten percent difficulty."

Silence. Everyone looked at Harry. Even Zeril was surprised and looked very worried. Jeanne lowered her head.

"The real war against the warlocks are more difficult than what you faced in the simulations hall." Harry explained, "Many of you may have noticed that the warlocks only used a single spell and attacked with close-range attacks and you got a long time to prepare and rest between attacks." Harry smiled, "Real war is completely different, warlocks can use a variety of magic, and they can cast them with much less effort compared to us. It is the reason why even with a larger number we couldn't do well during the war." Harry sighed.

"I have made the simulation with the real war in mind, but I also haven't experienced the real war, so what Professor said, is true." Tori stood up and looked at the students to explain.

"But, there is no need to get worried guys." Tori again looked at the crowd, "The war is already over, warlocks weren't seen in our lands for years. We have even more powerful and modern weapons now if they ever come back to attack. What our parents and family members faced before was to protect us." Tori patted her c.h.e.s.t, "We would have done the same thing if we were in their shoes. But let us enjoy the happiness they bought for us and let us get stronger together."

"Yes, let us get stronger." One of the students shouted.

"To let keep our happiness intact, let us get stronger." Another student stood up and shouted.

Following the earlier student, every single student followed and shouted. They became excited by the small speech Tori gave them. Harry Potter looked at Tori with a satisfied smile on his face. This is the reason he lives on. This is the reason he also needs to get stronger and stronger.

"By the way, Tori, have you ever participated in the simulations?" Jeanne couldn't help but ask while everyone was happily discussing their experience with others. But after Jeanne asked everyone stopped their conversation and looked at Tori.

"To tell you the truth, I have practiced a lot of times, so my result is very different compared to what you faced your first time." Tori slowly explained.

"But what was the result?" A female student asked.

"Yes, we want to have a goal to surpass." Said another student from the back.

"I have finished the 40% difficulty with no death," Tori answered while everyone else becomes silent.

"Mental! You sure are exceptional as the Granddaughter of the famous Harry Potter." Jeanne commented on it while was she was in shock.

'lol, if I were the reason for her exceptional performance then I would have been seriously proud.' Harry thought to himself while smiling wryly.

"If she can do it, so can I." A male student laughed and said.

"Yes, everyone can do it. It was hard for me too, and I just got better after a lot of practices." Tori looked at everyone before saying this.

"Okay everyone, do you want to go in again?" Harry looked at everyone and raised his voice to say this.

"Yes, professor." Everyone shouted with enthusiasm.

"But there is a catch; you need to work hard to earn Magic Credits by doing various things and then use them for the Simulation hall." Harry smiled and continued, "Do not underestimate the simulation hall; this is our one of our largest resource to make ourselves stronger, even the professors will be using this hall." Harry explained the importance of the simulations hall, but he didn't need to actually. Everyone clearly understood the importance of them becoming stronger and becoming stronger faster can only be done by this hall.

"From the next class, we will discuss more the spells you can use to attack and defend, class dismissed." Harry raised his hands and voice to finish the class.

Everyone stood up and picked up whatever they brought with them and went out of the tent one by one.

Jeanne and Tori were prepared to go out while Zeril caught up with them.

"You are very strong," Zeril commented with a stern face, the kind of face Tori hated and didn't want to look at.

"Yes, of course. I have been learning to use magic as long as I remember." Tori wore indifferent face before replying.

"Why do you fake your strength then?" Zeril asked again.

Jeanne and Jack, who was beside them, was surprised and looked at both Zeril and Tori's faces with confusion.

"I am not stronger than I look, don't let your imaginations run wild." Tori was getting angry at Zeril, "Why the hell am I gonna play weak? everyone know that I am stronger than them and you are stronger than me on magic."

"Whatever." Zeril stopped asking any more questions, but he didn't go away. He stuck with the other three and followed them out. This was something very odd which nor Jeanne or Jack could figure out why Zeril was always staying with them but not taking the initiative to start any conversation.

------

"What do you think about this batch?" Professor McGonagall asked Harry while he was busy taking care of the tent.

"The kid Zeril is a bit different" Harry replied, "He seems very odd."

"But nothing you can't take care of, right?" Professor McGonagall asked with a smile.

"Maybe." Harry smiled and continued his work.
