“Botley!”

On the other side of the bookshelf, Molly was greatly surprised when she saw Thulhu. “He- hello!”

Was she afraid of him? Thulhu wondered.

He frowned slightly. “You come over here!”

“No! No…”

Molly almost burst into tears. Turning around, she was about to run away.

Thulhu never knew that he was actually that intimidating.

Thulhu touched his face a bit and then quickly caught her. “Apple, why are you running away?”

Molly whined like a little puppy, tears filling her eyes.

“I didn’t say anything!”

It was very quiet in the library, so their conversation caught a lot of attention.

Many students who had been studying were now looking at them. Some thought that it was a bastard bullying a young lady, and they stood up from their chairs.

Damn it!

This was precisely the scene of a hooligan bullying an innocent girl at school!

“What are you looking at?!”

Thulhu hadn’t learned how to fight for nothing. As soon as he felt the hostile eyes, he looked around.

It had to be said that since Thulhu now looked quite ferocious and aggressive, coupled with his 1.6 spirit, he indeed appeared quite intimidating.

The few guys who were wearing thick glasses had been about to play the role of hero, but they instantly realized how big a trouble they would be embroiled in if they decided to do so.

Even Molly stopped crying.

“Come with me!”

Thulhu had no intention of fighting. While those guys were feeling hesitant, Thulhu cast a sorry glance at Molly and said aloud, “I’ll take care of the baby!”

Instantly, the students started going back to what they were doing earlier.

It turned out to be a couple’s quarrel. There was no reason for them to get involved.

Thulhu grabbed Molly’s arm and ran out of the library. He finally stopped running when they reached the rooftop.

“You… Botley, what were you talking about? Why do I have a baby?” Molly’s eyes were red as she asked hurriedly.

“You tell me first. Why are you afraid of me?” asked Thulhu.

Thulhu was on full alert, in case Molly suddenly turned into something, like a black shadow.

Molly had no idea that Thulhu was viewing her as a great, potential threat. If she dared make a risky move, Thulhu would use Tiger Style on her for sure.

“Be- Beatrice is missing! She’s been missing for two days… A police officer talked to me earlier!”

Molly was going through an emotional breakdown as her tears gushed out. “I didn’t mean to tell him your name!”

“You said in the library that you didn’t say anything. You lied!” Thulhu was upset.

Although Molly looked so innocent, she still lied. How could he trust anyone in this world?

However, feeling upset was as far as Thulhu’s feelings went. He knew that sooner or later, the police would learn about him. After all, the staff in the cafe had all seen him.

He had a plan of his own, so he didn’t really care.

What bothered him most was the true murderer hiding in the dark!

But it now seemed that the true murderer was confused at Beatrice going missing, so had yet to show up.

Or perhaps the true murderer was also a rookie in terms of using extraordinary power, and could only consume his or her life force to use it? Thulhu wondered.

“I’m… I’m so sorry!”

Molly squatted down with her hands covering her head. “I was just… so afraid!”

Seeing Molly cry, Thulhu sighed.

He could understand why Molly was so panic-stricken. In this world, most people wouldn’t even kill a chicken! And someone going missing was for sure a big deal. However, this world was going to go through a series of dramatic changes now!

Well, to be more specific, mysterious power had always existed in this world, even during Twilight!

This world was always under the control of extraordinary power!

Thulhu started feeling a bit worried that Molly might not be able to face the harsh reality in the future.

“Alright… don’t cry…” Thulhu tried to comfort her.

After quite a while, when Molly finally calmed down a bit, Thulhu finally asked her the question that he had been wanting to ask since the murder. “The note you gave me that day… Did Beatrice give it to you in person?”

The murderer lured them into the trap using the note!

The note was the key to cracking the case!

“Yes… yes, in Katherine’s lab, she handed it to me!”

Molly sobbed as she answered.

That was impossible!

Thulhu shook his head inwardly. The murderer must have confused Molly, or… Molly was the true murderer!

If it was the former, than the shadow was even more dangerous than Thulhu had thought, but if it was the latter, Thulhu believed that Molly’s acting was well worth an Oscar!

“Listen, Molly, I don’t blame you, and I’m not the reason Beatrice went missing!” Thulhu lied seriously.

“We went our separate ways after leaving the cafe. The waiter in the cafe and those people I ran into later can be my witnesses! Even if the officer comes to find me, I’ll give him the same answer! So don’t worry. I’m not here to kill you!”

“Really?”

Molly took off her glasses, and Thulhu could now see her beautiful eyes. She sniffed.

“I promise! But that day, Beatrice told me she never asked to meet me, and that she thought I was the one who set it up, which was why she came!”

Thulhu looked into Molly’s eyes.

“Impossible… She handed the note to me!”

Although Molly was still sobbing, she was very certain.

“I see… I think we should leave this to the police to investigate, then.”

Thulhu handed her a handkerchief. “Wipe your tears. I believe that Beatrice is gonna be alright!”

If it had been an ordinary corpse princess, it would have started to rot now after being so far away from its caster without a power supply.

But what about the corpse princess which Thulhu had created with the creepy ritual?

Thulhu was afraid that things wouldn’t end so simply.

“Really?”

Molly looked up. There was fresh hope on her face.

“I think… I believe so.”

Thulhu answered assertively.

He had made the corpse princess. He knew best.

Thulhu could imagine that soon there would be police officers hoping to talk to him.

After all, Beatrice had gone missing for two days. A report must have been filed with the police.

Those detectives were quite something. The police department was second in the union only to the tax department, which even had its own army.

Fortunately, Thulhu had prepared his alibi, or the police would definitely arrest him as the murderer! Thulhu wouldn’t let the shadow escape!

A cold light flashed in Thulhu’s eyes.
