Chapter 411 - S2 World 12.6

"Where's Dion?"

Chase looked around while the maids were busy putting the pins on his chest. They put this thick silver blue cloak on him with a soft fur at the edges. Also, he wore these white boots with small blue chains around the ankle. The tightness of his royal suit is just enough.

The maid even complimented him the moment they finished. Chase looked at himself in the mirror for the last time before stepping down onto the high platform. He left the ladies and went to the window. He leaned on the railings, put his palm around his lips, "Diooonnnn!!!" his voice echoed.

The trees in the mini forest flutter its leaves and from the shadows of it, a white silhouette emerges. It flew straight to the Prince, whose arms were spreading in the air. Welcoming his guardian in his embrace.

Dion immediately rushed to his master's arms and snuggled. Everyone looked at him with a surprised look on his face. Chase smiled and hugged Dion back. "Where have you been?"

The dragon lifted its chin and looked at him. Giving him an apologizing look.

"Your Imperial Highness, we need to hurry,"

Sir Alfred showed up beside Chase. As usual with his butler aura while looking at his pocket watch. His gaze went alternately to Chase and then to Dion. He bowed his head to the dragon. "Sir Dion, I know that you like to be with the Prince so much, but the Emperor only asked for his audience," he said it as if he's also giving his respect to the Prince's guardian.

Chase and Dion looked at each other as they hugged. Chase put the dragon on the railings. "I'm sorry. I will see you later. Wait for me in the garden, okay?" he poked Dion's nose and smiled.

Sir Alfred glanced at Dion once more before leading the way. He opened the door, and the maids waved their hands to the Prince.

As Chase reached the hallways, he suddenly felt stiff. His breaths turned heavy, feeling this magnet like pulling him back. The uneasiness crawled into the atmosphere that even the butler felt its presence.

"Your Imperial Highness? Are you okay?" Sir Alfred asked.

Chase nodded his head and smiled.

Alfred tilted his head. "Are you sure? Is the suit not to your liking, Your Grace?" he asked again.

The Prince looked from left to right, then he approached Alfred and whispered something in his ears. "I'm nervous,"

Who wouldn't? He's still not familiar in this world and this is the first time he's meeting the Emperor. Is he furious? Is he mad at him? Will he recognize Chase as his son? Is he already bedridden? Or still strong enough to point a sword straight to his face?

Those questions didn't leave Chase's mind. It almost gave him shivers just by imagining how furious the Emperor was.

Sir Alfred tapped the Prince's back, "Your Grace, there's nothing to be nervous about," he stepped inches away. "The Emperor is really looking forward to seeing you," then he smiled.

His words didn't convince Chase. It was his smile who made the Prince comfortable. Since they don't have enough time, he instructed the Prince to follow him.

"We are here, Your Imperial Highness,"

The door became new to Chase's eyes. Unlike the other doors in the palace he had seen, this one had a golden floral design in the middle. A golden knob and two knights guarding it side by side.

"Greetings, Your Imperial Highness! May the Lord of Alrein bless you,"

Chase jolted, getting surprised by the sudden greetings of the two knights. Sir Alfred talked to them and then he whispered back to Chase to get ready.

The door slowly opened. Chase almost got blinded by the light coming from the room. He almost squinted until the light gradually faded. He just snapped back when he heard the door closed, leaving him there.

The first thing he saw was the bed with blue curtains on every side. The big squared glass window facing him reflected the view outside. On the left corner was a desk with some papers on it, followed by the shelves with neatly arranged books. He looked down and almost saw his own reflection on the floor.

"Chase, you're finally here,"

The deep and husky voice made Chase jolted. The first thing he checked was the bed. There was no one there. Though he's expecting the Emperor to rest. The desk he saw earlier was also empty. So where's the voice coming from?

"I am here, Chase,"

Chase jolted for the second time, and his head slowly turned beside him. He saw another wide space with two long sofas and a round table in the middle. On that solo sofa, there was this figure of another man. Middle-aged with small wrinkles on the forehead. Silver and golden threads of slick back hair. He's wearing a red and golden royal suit with a white cape.

Chase gulped upon meeting his sharp and golden jewel eyes. They are the same and there's only one person who's like that. IT WAS THE EMPEROR HIS FATHER.

His legs dashed to that area. "Greetings, Your Imperial Highness," he greeted him, kneeling one of his knees. He hoped that the greetings he copied from the knights would work. "I am here, F-F-Fa---"

"No need for such formalities, take a seat," The Emperor immediately cut his words. Maybe he felt that Chase was having a hard time calling him 'Father'. This is their first meeting, after all.

Chase nodded his head and hurriedly sat down on the sofa across from his father. Sweats formed from his forehead. He didn't know what to say or what to do until two maids entered the room with tea and cupcakes on their tray.

They greeted the two royals and served them carefully. Chase smiled at them as they exited the room.

"Such kindness. Where did you learn that?"

The Prince jolted from his seat. If he's drinking tea, it probably fell on the floor because of his trembling hands. "I-I j-just l-learn it," he stammered.

The Emperor looked at him as he lifted his cup. "I see,"
