Trouble With The President

Jim and Tina both get inside the car and left.

The night was still young and the road was filled with darkness with some street lights glowing at some places.

Although there were some other cars but other than that, there was nothing else, as if Jim's car was the only one which was currently moving on this road.

They both were silent for quite a while, Tina seems to be depressed, her beautiful eyes which were always filled with a glow of light was now dim and radiating a sense of loneliness, she was lost in her thoughts.

Jim was worried for her as broke the long lasted silence, "I'll take you to dinner first and then take you to home, what would you like to eat?"

"I don't want to eat anything, I just want to go home.. " she gazed outside the mirror and replied in the same gloomy tone.

"....Tina what happened?" Jim tried to divert her mood first and then ask what happened? But after seeing that she rejected him directly, he asked in a straightforward manner.

The lines on her forehead depend and her eyes became enlarged as she was startled from Jim's question, she feared that Jim will definitely ask this question but she didn't want to tell him anything.

"Nothing!" she frowned her brows and acted as if nothing happened.

Jim had an obvious expression on his poker face.

Who was she trying to fool? This man beside her is the CEO of a multinational company, he could easily understand such an obvious lie.

He shook his head and took a deep sigh, then continued in a mocking tone, "But. you look listless. You were a vigorous little hedgehog, you know?"

And his mocking tone did the work. It was quite easy to provoke this little hedgehog.

"Hedgehog?!" She yelled at him.

A devious smile formed on Jim's face.

"What?" seeing the smirk on Jim's face, she became more irritated.

"The little hedgehog sitting next to me." Jim again teased her in a childish way.

She rolled her eyes over and ignored his foolish words, "....Childish!"

And just like this, their short journey, which was filled with gloominess has changed into something different and interesting.

After few minutes, near Tina's apartment,

"Thank you for taking me home." she got off from the car, gazed at him and nodded her head, then bid farewell "Good night!"

Jim frowned his brows as he was not happy because she was just going to leave without even saying something or telling him the reason for her being upset.

"Tina wait!"

She was already on her way to the apartment and Jim's sudden call didn't give her much time to react. Before she could turn around, Jim's arm was already around her c.h.e.s.t. It was a sudden move which made her stand.

"I've got something to tell you." his chin was placed on her head, his dim voice contained a touch of honesty and affection. his eyes were filled with loneliness and a feeling of longing was within them.

His sudden behaviour made her startled, she didn't reacted and just paused like a statue. His thumping heartbeat could be heard clearly. His big and manly hands are giving her a sense of safety, a warmness which can melt her stone like heart.

She had a feeling that she could forget every tension of the world in his embrace. A feeling that she could finally let her guard down and become a carefree little girl, who will be cherished by him.

Her heart was already on the verge of being drowned in this feeling but it was just a momentary feeling.

And after that moment she realised that she was about to commit a grave mistake. She already has Paiming and she can't accept another man behind his back. "Damn! You hugged me again? Let me go!"

She yelled at him and put force to turn her head around.

"Hear me out then I'll let you go." His alluring voice rang in her ears again, the moment when her eyes took a glimpse that his face was way too close from her's.

She immediately turn around her head again and tucked it in his arms. her cheeks were burning red, she had a feeling that if she looked in his eyes directly then she will lose her control and do something which will make her regret in the future.

After a moment she took a peek from his arms and replied in a nervous tone, "....speak now."

Jim had a hint about her current situation and a smile formed on his face. He embraced her more tightly and continued, "Don't keep everything to yourself."

"You have me...."

Her eyes became bigger and her expression turned serious.

"Call me when you are sad."

"Even if I am far away, I will fly to you right away!"

He rubbed his chin against her hairs and said his last sentence, "Tina let me be your support!"

"Thank you for your kindness!" Her expression became more grave, She immediately put force and broke free from his tight grasp and made a distance between herself and him.

"Tina..." Jim tried to stop her but it was already too late, she already made her mind and Jim knew that she won't listen to him, so he didn't pursue her further.

"I can't accept your kindness!" She was totally not in the mood to listen to anyone. She continued in a solemn tone, "I am tired, please leave me alone!" then she walked away from him.

" Bye.."

" Tina..." Jim stood there for quite a while and just gazed towards the direction where she was slowly disappearing in the darkness.

Tina pushed opened the door of her apartment, she rushed inside and quickly shut the door.

Her heartbeat was so fast that she could clearly hear it. Her forehead was sweaty because of running all the way to her apartment, her hands were shivering as she put both of her hands on her c.h.e.s.t to calm herself down a bit.

'My heart is beating fast...' She already realised about her true feelings towards him but she can't tell him the truth, 'Jim I know...'

'I know how I feel about you...'

'But it can only be a secret, a secret that no one can know!' she clenched her fists tightly against her c.h.e.s.t and shut her eyes in pain.

This pain was caused by her own heart it is much painful because she is suppressing her true feelings.

After a moment of silence, she rushed towards her bedroom and jumped on the bed.

Then she took out her phone and turned it off. 'Have a good sleep!'

'I will forget everything when I wake up tomorrow!' she clenched the bedsheet tightly and somehow fell asleep.
