Uchiha's Butterfly

"So where did all this fire go?" a purple-haired woman with Anko on her back asked.

"What fire Kitty-chan?" Kaname asked.

"All the way from Fire City we saw massive smoke clouds coming from the north, we were expecting conflagration out here" replied a dog-masked silver-haired man with happiness in his voice.

"Hmm, say captain. Aren't you a little too happy carrying Misa on your back?" Yugao asked.

"*Cough* I do not know what are you talking about…" Kakashi's back was being pressed by two soft bulges of an unconscious woman. Behind his mask, he had a very content smile plastered on his face.

"Maybe I put them under, but keep your hands where they should be Inu. Or else whichever bone I leave in one piece, Anko will finish off. Kinoe-san please keep your eye on this pervert" Kaname asked the emotionless Anbu ninja.

'I'm pretty sure he works for the Root, a double agent? No way in hell I would allow him to hold any of my unconscious friends' Kaname thought, watching every movement of the third member of the team.

"I will" a brown-haired man replied.

"Kana, are you alright?"

"I will tell you everything in Konoha when we're alone Kitty-chan, someone could eavesdrop our conversation in open terrain" she answered.

Yugao put a hand on Kaname's shoulder and squeezed it.

"You don't have to hold it in, we're here for you" Purple-haired woman assured her.

"Thank you, but I'm okay Yugao-chan" Kaname smiled.

'Ah shit… I can recognize this fake smile from a mile away Kana-chan, you're on the verge of emotional breakdown' Yugao thought.

Three silent hours later they saw Konoha outer walls in the distance.

"Go to the hospital, I will report the completion of the mission," Kinoe left the team when they reached the gates.

"Hey you! ASAP prepare for two full-body scans, also get my mother here as well!" Kaname ordered the first nurse she saw in the hospital.

"Wha- Kaname-sama?! I'm on my way!" the nurse instantly went to carry out the order.

"Butterfly what has happened?!" Sachi shouted at her.

"I saved Anko and Misa, they were under torture for at least two years"

Yugao gave a signal with her eyes to the older Uchiha woman.

"... I understand, all three of you are up for a thorough check-up" Sachi said.

"Three?"

"Who do you think I am Butterfly? I know you for your entire life, I see something is wrong with you. Now move your shapely a.s.s to the scanning room, I will start with your friends. Yugao-chan, stay with my daughter for a moment" Sachi said.

"What the hell?" Kaname asked seeing the retreating form of her mother, with two of her friends being transported by hospital staff.

"*Sigh* Kana, it's a hard topic, but can you tell us what happened in Orochimaru's base?" Yugao asked.

"Nothing much, I failed big time and let my best friend get r.a.p.ed, tortured and starved to death…"

"Do you think it's your fault Kaname-chan?" Kakashi asked.

"And who else was so close to Maki? Who was having fun in Konoha while she was getting r.a.p.ed time and time again? I should look for her, she was only three hours away from me!" Kaname answered with a tear in her activated Sharingan eyes.

"Kana, so you are sure it's your fault, sorry but you're an idiot…" Yugao hugged her.

"Wha-"

"Kaname-chan, did you know where Orochimaru held his captives? How could you find this secret base, it was hidden extremely well. What's more, wasn't this your first chance to save your friends, which in truth allowed you to save both of their lives?" Kakashi listed out.

"Doesn't matter. I failed" Kaname growled out.

"Moron… It wasn't your fault if you want to point the guilt aim it at the snake bastard. And don't go with this round of penitence, do you really think Maki would want you to drown yourself in self-pity or try to find the snake and kick his ass?"

"*Sigh*... Shut up Doofus-kun, I'm being hugged by my friend" Kaname replied in a whisper.

"Butterfly, your turn" Sachi called.

After five minutes of testing the old Uchiha's woman paled.

"Is anything hurting you right now Butterfly?!" she shouted at her and put her hand to Kaname's forehead.

"Eh? No, not really? What are the results of the scan?" Kaname was looking at her panicking mother.

"Not now, you go to intensive care!"

"Mom, I do not feel any pain. Please tell me"

"*Sigh* There are traces of retreating edema near your heart"

"Ugh, cardiac arrest... I don't remember that"

"There is more, there are marks that your brain stopped functioning for a duration of at least five minutes. I'm not talking about lowering its activity but actually stopping" Sachi added.

"You mean I was brain dead?"

"What the f.u.c.k happened there?! Tell me everything now Kaname!"

"*Gulp* Okay…"

Sachi was hugging her daughter when she gave descriptions of most of the brutal Orochimaru's experiments.

"Entering the last cell, I saw… her mutilated body. I think I heard a voi-" Kaname slumped in her arms.

"Butterfly? What's wrong?" Sachi asked lightly shaking her daughter.

"Butterfly?!" there was no response, Kaname wasn't breathing.

"No, gods no!" she quickly checked her daughter's pulse.

"Nothing… HELP!" she yelled out.

The doors opened instantly a silver-haired boy stood there, he watched Sachi with tears in her eyes performing resuscitation on her daughter.

"Get me every medic you can NOW!" she shouted at him.

"Whatever you are, f.u.c.k you I will not let my treasure die today" Sachi murmured.

Kaname woke up feeling refreshed with a little pain in her back.

"Sorry did I fell asleep, mommy? Right, where did I finish my story…" Kaname noticed her mother with a smile on her face sitting near her bed.

"STOP!" Sachi shouted.

"Eh?"

"Butterfly, you just woke up from a coma, you were asleep for six months"

"What the f.u.c.k? Are you kidding me?" Kaname got glomped by her mother.

"*Shh* I heard the latter part of the story from Misa-chan and Anko-chan. It seems there are some hidden forces in play, and they don't want to be revealed. Promise me you won't talk with anybody about what had happened" Sachi whispered.

"What if Hokage asks me?"

"Then he can go to hell, you're more important Butterfly"

"Heh, love you, mommy"

"I love you too, Butterfly"

"So… Can I go outside for a little workout? I'm behind my schedule"

"*Sigh* I knew that would be your first request, Inoichi-san owes me... Your muscles lost some of their mass, you will need to start from the basics Butterfly. Luckily I found you a perfect chaperone and even better training partner" woman loudly whistled.

Half a minute later through the window Hamimaru jumped in with a laughing Naruto attached to her fur.

"Mo- Sasa!" the little boy shouted jumping on Kaname.

"What's up little mayhem. I'm okay, don't cry. How did you get here?" she caught and hugged the flying boy.

"Hehe, I catch Hami!" Naruto replied.

"Come here girl" Kaname made a gesture towards Hamimaru, "I'm sorry, I couldn't save her" she delicately patted her head.

Hamimaru w.h.i.n.ed, a moment later she licked Kaname's hand.

"Heh, so will you protect me while I get my dexterity back?"

"*Woof*" the wolf-sized dog waved her tail.

"Thanks. Now, mommy, it's not like Hami-chan would be bad training partner, but-"

"YYOOOOUUUUTTTHHH! *Screech*" the roar stopped by a loud sound of braking wheels just outside Kaname's room.

"Here are some crutches for you Butterfly. If I see a green latex outfit in your wardrobe I will burn everything. You will not walk in such a monstrosity"

"Hello, young hero! Are you ready for training?" Duy asked.

"Hello, Duy-san. I'm ready, but I'm not a hero" Kaname barely stood up from her bed with crutches in her hands.

"Hahaha, you are one for me, and for your friends as well! The first one on the ground level loses!" Duy launched himself leaving behind a smoke trail.

"*Sigh* And how does he go down the stairs in a wheelchair?" Kaname sweatdropped.

"Hehe, Butterfly. Duy-san just sticks to the walls going down"

"What? How? He can't use chakra!"

"Heh, speed and inertia. The walls are rounded near the stairs. Going down is nothing, you should see him going up… Go and have fun" Sachi answered.

"*Sigh*... Naru-chan, stay near Hamimaru. Let's go" Kaname slowly walked forward.

'I could use an elevator to win the race, meh… it's training'

One step at a time Kaname felt her knee giving up before her body's weight. Instead of crashing through at least ten steps head first Kaname landed in a soft black and white fur.

"Thanks, Hami-chan. Good job!" she rubbed the underbelly of her protector.

"*Woof*"

"Sasa hurts?" a young boy asked.

"Don't worry Naru-chan. I just slept for too long" she replied with a smile.

Three minutes later she reached the ground level.

"Good. Now for warmup let's make some l.a.p.s around the hospital! I will do it only by using hands! We stop when I double l.a.p you five times!"

"Sure, let's go Duy-san"
