Uchiha's Butterfly

'These two are nutjobs...' Kaname thought tiredly limping back home from her training with the youthful duo, as she liked to call them. Surviving their level of training for so long is an accomplishment in itself, at least according to Duy, those weren't his words, he yelled something about "Overflowing youth" and "Pure heart", whatever it meant.

Turning around the corner Kaname noticed a long-white-haired man sitting on a bench near her house.

"Took you some time Jiraya-san, Jiji called for you six months ago." she greeted him.

"Yeah, sorry Kana-chan. I was undercover and couldn't leave. A new hairdo?"

Ah, no, I just took a liking to tie my hair into a ponytail while training" Kaname tugged at the red ribbon letting her hair fall freely onto her back.

"You know that you got as beautiful as if not even more then your mother was in her prime Kana-chan?"

Kaname was seventeen, she had a height of 176 cm (~5'9ft). Thanks to her rigorous training her body developed an hourglass figure, her long legs stopping on tight black sports shorts, the subtly muscled torso was covered on its upper half by a black sports bra hiding her perky B cup bust. Jiraya's eyes went up towards Kaname's face, there were visible traces of sweat on the forehead, her black straight hair reached the middle of her back, the front of her face was encompassed by shagged short bangs. Kaname's pink glossed lips were smiling at him.

"Hee~ Just you wait, Jiraya-san, till I tell my mom you were leering at me and calling her old…"

"*Geh*! Okay, you win. I give up!"

"Hehe, too easy, and thanks for the compliment Jiraya. Come inside" she led him to the house, "For how long have you come to Konoha this time?"

"I'm sorry, I came here only for today. There is something in the air Kana-chan, I just feel it in my guts. The bandits all over the country are grouping up, mercenaries are organizing into small divisions, hundreds of immigrants are flooding the country from the east, and the Daimyo got forcefully replaced by his less talented younger brother. I'm to meet my informant tomorrow north of here to ask him some questions, it will most likely lead into a new investigation, I do not know how long it will take me to get to the bottom of it"

"I understand if everything goes right at least stay for the party Jiraya-san" she replied opening the doors to her workshop.

"What party?"

"I talked with Shiori-san, if my seal works as intended, the Hyuuga's will throw a party for us"

"Hahaha! The pristine Hyuuga clan members still remember how to have fun, sure count me in!"

"Ah! I would have forgotten, I would like to invite you to my eighteen birthday party, it's in nine months"

"I can't promise anything, but I will try to return at the time"

"Now, look at this" Kaname handed him a pair of scrolls.

"Wait, why did you make two seals Kana-chan?"

"Hehe, you gave me too much time..."

"Are you sure they work?" he asked.

"*Sigh*..." Kaname raised her hand and flipped him, showing her middle finger.

"Eh?! Wait, what's this?"

"I can't believe you, how could you do it yourself?" After an hour of studying the seals, Jiraya was following Kaname to the Hyuuga's district.

"Hello Kaname-sama, Sannin Jiraya-sama. Our clan is looking forward to your presence"

"Ah, it's you again. I asked you to not add 'sama' to my name, moron"

"As you wish Kaname-sama... Follow me please"

A minute later their calm stroll was interrupted by a loud shout.

"I want to meet with Hina-chan ~dattebayo!" Naruto sat atop Jiraya's broad shoulders.

"You will Naru-chan, don't you worry. See Jiraya-san? I told you he will accept you"

"Yeah… Thanks"

"You're welcome" Kaname replied entering the main household.

"Kana-chan, Jiraya-san, at last, you're here!" Shiori greeted them in the dining room eating ch.i.p.s.

"Hi, aunty" Kaname gave the woman a light hug, turning back to Jiraya and Naruto she whispered, "Naru-chan go play with Hinata-chan for a moment"

"Seeing both of you here I recon you did it?" the woman questioned.

"Yep, can you call every one that needs to observe the new seals?"

"Huhuhu, thank you for those amazing news. Give me a moment Kana-chan" Shiori washed her hands and left the room.

'Is it just my imagination?' Kaname watched the Hyuuga matriarch quickly walking away, 'Whatever, there are more important things to worry about for now'

"Kana-chan?! Are you here? Ouch-!" Misa quickly barged into the room, being blind she bounced off of the towering man standing in front of the doors.

"Ah!" Jiraya caught the young woman before she fell on her back.

"Hi Misa-chan, what are you doing here? Shiori-san just left to bring the people here"

"I heard from my boyfriend that you came here. This hand is probably Jiraya-san's? Nice to meet you."

"Hello"

"Well congrats Misa-chan, at least you got someone with a dose of humor"

Their conversation was stopped when Hiashi opened the doors.

"Jiraya-sama, Kaname-san. Welcome, follow me to the audience chamber. Oh, Misa-chan?... Come as well" the clan leader greeted them.

Soon they entered a big room, on both sides of the chamber sat sixteen elderly men, on the far backside of it Kaname noticed Hiashi's twin brother and another elder man sitting on both sides of an empty cushion.

"I will leave you with Shiori-chan, she will help you two. Just remember that whatever you hear from this bunch today I am on your side" He left them, making his way to sit at the main spot.

"*Cough* Sorry Kana-chan, Jiraya-san. I have got a massive headache today. The council will have to ask you some questions before they make a decision about your seal. Sit here" Shiori pointed at the two cushions next to her, with Misa sitting behind them.

"As I promised, we're returning to the topic of utmost importance in our clan" Hiashi started his speech, "it is time to erase the division in our clan once and for all." his words were met with murmurs of discontent all around the room, "Secretly I asked for the help of a seal-master to devise a new way to protect our clan's most important dōjutsu. As you all know, the main root of our family is under constant scorn from our brothers and sisters in the branch family. I say no more, I will not let anyone repeat the horror I and my brother had to live through ever again!"

"*Cough-cough* Jiraya-kun, at last, you were able to help my clan, I was afraid I wouldn't see it with my own eyes" the old-man on Hiashi's right spoke. He is a man of short stature with long, grey hair that reaches down to his back, and like all members of his clan, he possesses featureless white eyes. He wears traditional robes which consist of a loose-fitting kimono that is held closed with a simple sash under a brown, waist-length haori.

"He's a former clan leader and my father-in-law. He is stern, but he was the first leader that tried to change our clan." Shiori whispered to Kaname.

"You misunderstand Hiaki-san, it's not my work but Kaname-chan's" Jiraya calmly pointed at her, eliciting another round of murmurs going around the chamber.

"And why should we use a work of a second-rate seal-master when you could have done it better?" Someone from the right row asked, to the general approval of everyone assembled.

"*Shh* Kana-chan, let me do it" Jiraya calmed her down, "I believe you are all mistaken about the craft. Both of us are seal-masters, while one can do what the other does, we are masters in our own fields. I'm more specialized in barriers and fighting using the seals. Kaname went another way, she is an expert seal-breaker, she can design a seal I wouldn't even dream is possible. I saw her work, and believe me, I never observed something so intricate"

"And how can you assure us the seal works better than the current one?" Hiaki's gruff voice asked.

Jiraya put his hand atop Kaname's shoulder, "Because two of the best seal-masters in Elemental Nations are saying so Hiaki-san, and to be frank, your current one sucks. I saw it before, I believe I could brake it in a manner of minutes, and you Kana-chan?" Jiraya asked, letting her speak for the first time.

"Thanks" she whispered, seeing him winking at her, she continued "I tested it, I can temporarily deactivate it below five seconds. It's a tough nut impaled deep into the brain, so after a couple of minutes, the seal comes back up killing the host. If you want me to completely destroy the seal I can do it in three to five minutes."

"*Pft* Yeah, you got the seal-braking to a 'T' Kana-chan" Jiraya snorted with a laugh.

"Hmm, interesting. I would like for you to show us what you are capable of, young lady. I found a volunteer for you. Bring her in!" Hiaki shouted to the guards behind the door.

Young girl, the same age as Izumi, entered. With a first look, Kaname recognized her as one from the first batch of her students, Natsu Hyuuga.

"Hi sensei"

"Damn girl, are you sure you want to do that?" Kaname asked walking towards the black-haired girl.

"I believe in you Kaname-sensei" Natsu assured her with a nod of the head.

"*Sigh* Okay, which one do you want me to demonstrate Hiaki-sama? The fast deactivation or should I erase the seal entirely. Please remember that with the first option I would have to apply my new design momentarily"

"When you're as old as me, you start to appreciate every second you have left. Show us what you can do" the old man ordered, "Let's see if you really can break the seal as fast as your implying, I will count. Three, two, one… Start!"

Kaname's finger lighted up with chakra with a single swish atop Natsu's forehead, the pale green seal lost its color and disappeared.

"Done!" Kaname shouted out to the overall consternation of the Hyuugas.

"Hahahaha" the silence of the room was disrupted by a loud laugh coming from Jiraya.

Hiashi face hid a smile, but Kaname noticed the shadow of it coming from the corner of his eyes. Observing the rest of the attendees, she counted at least five of them glaring at the young girl, their palms put into a hand seal failing to activate the Caged Bird Seal.

"As most of you already noticed, little Natsu-chan can no longer be hurt by the seal. She is free of it if I was an enemy I could very easily steal the Byakugan from her"

"For how long the seal stays inactive Kaname-chan?" Hiashi asked.

"It depends on chakra reserves, for a genin, it should be somewhere around an hour or two"

"I created two seals, one for men, second for women. Can I put it atop Natsu-chan? I never tested the seal deactivation on a human before" Kaname explained.

"Yes, show us the new seal Kaname-chan"

"Don't move Natsu-chan, I don't want to spoil the seal" Activating her Sharingan, Kaname took a brush and got to work.

Ten minutes later she was done. The main part the form of a cross, the arms of which were of equal length and perpendicular to the adjacent arms, each bent midway at an angle, was reworked, joining the symbol arms now the anti-clockwise sauwastika instead looked like a gemstone. The straight lines coming from each side of the head received a remodeling as well, with some ingenuity Kaname created a diadem like art on Natsu's forehead.

[AN: Before any1 calls me a nazi - it's WASN'T this 卐, but it was 卍. Now it's just a square with a cross in the middle. Whatsmore I come from a country where we burn nazi, as well as communism symbols. We were far too long under the oppression of each one :-P]

"Okay, Natsu-chan one more thing, put a little chakra at the spot I'm touching. It will activate the seal" Kaname reassured the girl, putting the finger in the middle of the seal. A second later it lighted up in delicate white light and soon started fading.

"Sensei? Why did it disappear?... I mean, I do not mind having it up there, I looked like a princess, hehe" Natsu asked looking at herself in a mirror.

"Ah, not everyone wants to have it seen, Natsu-chan, just push some chakra towards it" Kaname explained, she noticed an elderly man on her left glaring daggers at the two of them.

"Marvelous job Kaname-chan. Now what about a seal for a man, I doubt anyone of us would like to walk with a diadem on top of our heads"

"Ah, I prepared a crown-like seal for men, Hiashi-sama. Would anyone want to go first?"

"I will go, brother" Hizashi stood up from Hiashi's left, "With your help Kaname-chan, our clan will become one, at long last, we the Hyuugas can move forward" he stated standing next to Kaname.

"You're welcome Hizashi-san"

Another ten minutes later Hizashi sported a glowing white crown on his head. Bowing to her once he left to sit back at Hiashi's left side.

"Now, maybe someone from the main branch?" Kaname asked, at this moment an elder on her left snapped.

"IT'S AN OUTRAGE! How can we be sure that this brat's seal even works?! What should we do, if the branch family rebels against us? We won't have any means to defend ourselves! Now, she wants us to downgrade ourselves to the level of the branch family?! I-" he stopped seeing the sharp look the other Hyuugas were giving him.

"Leave us," Hiashi ordered, three other men stood up as well. "Ah, before you go. As a clan leader-" He looked at his father, Hiaki nodded his head, "and an acknowledgment of the Clan's Council Leader, I strip you from the position of a Clan Elder"

"What? You can't!"

"Guards!" Hiaki roared, "Take those imbeciles away"

"Now, where were we? Ah, as a clan leader I think it would send a good message to everyone if I was the first from the main branch"

"You wish Hiashi-kun! I'm first!" Shiori shouted out walking next to Kaname.

"There is no reason for me not to do it simultaneously. <Kage Bunshin no Jutsu>" [<Shadow Clone Technique>, duh! ;-P] Kaname created two more clones of herself, letting Hiashi, his father, and Shiori be marked with the seal at the same time. Secretly using the <Shindan no Jutsu> [<Diagnosis Jutsu>] on the woman she made sure of her previous assumptions.

'Interesting' creating another clone she walked towards Jiraya, "Can you get me a camera of some sort, I got an amazing idea"

"Hmm, if your newest prank isn't aimed at me, then count me in. Give me a minute or two, I had an old one in my storage seal somewhere"

"Huhuhu, thank you Kana-chan. I will always be in your debt" Shiori hugged her tightly from the back.

"It was my p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e aunty"

"Young lady, there is one more thing I would like to ask you" Hiaki approached her, "You're still young, but even you will someday perish, what then? We need some way to duplicate this seal ourselves if it's money-"

"Nah, here you go" Kaname threw a single scroll towards the old man, "It's the formula for the diadem type seal, I'm still working on the crown type, but I will deliver it this week"

"Kaname-chan, you're the easily third-best thing that happened in my life, first being wed to my lovely wife, and closely second Hinata being born" Kaname observed the twins walking side by side, with the seal atop their foreheads they were identical.

"Hiashi- no. Damn, which is which?" Kaname asked.

"Haha, as I said brother, I could easily play a double for you" Hizashi laughed out loud.

"Ah! Found it!" Jiraya called in the back.

"So you must be Hizashi-san. Jiraya-san ready up! Now, Hiashi-san I should be the fourth-best thing. You know why?" At this moment the Hyuuga's district was lighted up by endless fireworks in the sky, "Aunty is pregnant" Kaname delivered the literal bomb.

*Click-snap* A numerous flashes of a camera lamp blinded the dazed clan leader, a moment later Kaname saw an amazing sight, Hiashi started to grin, he jumped to his wife hugging, and kissing her.

"Hahaha, I will give you my liver for the copies. It's hard to find visible proofs of my brother looking like an idiot" Hizashi walked towards Kaname.

"Aunty will get them all for free, ask her later Hizashi-san"

"For you Kana-chan, it's Hizashi. I nor my family will ever forget what you did for us today, surely not this crazy duo" he pointed behind his back towards a couple of lovebirds whispering between themselves.

"Kaname-san" Hiaki's gruff voice interrupted them, "as my son is temporarily unable to collect his thoughts, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are always welcome in our district. Now, I say we need to have some sake to celebrate my third grandchild and the new bright future of our clan!"

The party easily lasted till midnight. Entering Hinata's room, Kaname noticed both kids sleeping in one bed.

"Stay with us for tonight Kana-chan, we have enough rooms" Shiori reassured her, "They're cute sleeping like that, aren't they?"

"Yeah, they are. I will stay tonight, but I need to go meet with Jiji early morning if it isn't a problem"

"Don't worry, I will take care of Naru-chan for the day"

"Thanks"

The next day at dawn Kaname entered the Hokage's Office.

"Hi, mission accomplished Jiji" she reported.

"Yeah, you wouldn't say. Half of Konoha couldn't sleep with the number of fireworks in the air"

"Truly, I'm not sure where did they hide such an arsenal myself" she admitted, "but they can throw a nice party that's for sure"

"Hehe, Kana-chan did you drink alcohol for the first time?"

"*Shh* Not so loud-"

*BAM* the doors to the office opened with force, instantly three Anbu's flickered towards the trespasser holding him at knifepoint. Looking closer Kaname noticed Itachi's bloodied face, with tears in his eyes, he deliriously chanted "I killed him, I killed him".

"Leave it to me" Kaname whispered to the old man, she received a nod in reply.

Walking towards Itachi, she lightly pushed the Anbu's away, hugging the boy she tried to calm him down, "*Shh* Everything is alright Itachi-kun"

"Nee-san? I'm sorry, I killed him. He asked me to, and I did."

"*Shh* It's okay, I'm not mad, can you tell me what has happened Itachi-kun"

"I killed him, he took the kunai in my hand and impaled himself"

"Don't worry, Itachi-kun, can you tell me exactly what has happened, I'm here for you"

"I… I killed Shisui-kun"
