Veronica: CEO's Underworld Queen

'Don't do it again.' Veronica said. She looked at him with a serious expression not realizing how seductive she was being.

'Can't be help, you're my woman now.'

Veronica laughed loudly hiding her real troubled expression. 'Oh you were so serious about that?!'

Rawlf could read how she tried to hide something underneath her laughter but decided to not dwell on it as he will discover about that eventually. 'You were not as this daring five years ago.'

Veronica ceased from laughing. 'Turned off?' She returned back to teasing. So he remembered me..... He remembered me. Veronica don't know what to feel but she must admit that part of her knew it earlier but denied because she doesn't want to be disappointed ... if it's the contrary.

'No,rather,..... turned on right now. Very turned on.' Rawlf said putting his wineglass at the coffe table and turned to face her. He extended his hand to her who flushed red after hearing what he said.

She hesitated for a moment but eventually gave in. She set her glass on the coffe table as well and extended her hand back to Rawlf's. He pulled her gently unto him making her straddle him on his l.a.p. Rawlf embraced her on her waist and rested his head on her c.h.e.s.t. He took a deep breath and the sensation from it and the touch of his face on her c.h.e.s.t tickles Veronica. She anchored her hands on the back of his neck, soothing him in the process. He really muat have been exhausted.

'I have missed you.' Rawlf started. 'Where have you been?'

'Earlier or-'

'Five years ago. You suddenly disappeared five years ago. Where have you been?'

Veronica wasn't prepared for this. All along she never hoped that he could remember her and yet here he was, saying all things she never expected from him. 'Would you rather me lie to you because I can't tell you yet or you can wait and stop your investigation until I am ready to tell you. After all, we are technically a stranger to one another.'

Rawlf was silent then sigh afterwards. 'Hmm.... As long as you're not endangering your self.'

Veronica was not trying to over assume but she felt him tightened his embrace around her.

Rawlf on the other hand wastrying to rationalize things between them. Everything seemed to happened too fast yet he wasn't alamred by that matter. He had missed and longed for her presence in his life and now that she's here, he will make sure that he'll no longer lose her. If it's only possible, he could have build an underground castle and keep her there ....away from the danger and preventing her from leaving or disappearing in his life again. But he now quite understood that she's not supposed to be caged.

Veronica is already a strong, independent and beautiful bird soaring through the zenith of the skies and to possessed her would only led her avoiding him. So despite of his possessive urges and beastly tendencies to keep her all for himself, he tried his best to revert his claws at his back and would rather resort on with nurturing and pampering that majestic bird in her until she will realize he was her home to whomshe can always nest on.

This will take time but his patience will at the end, be rewarded. He is quite sure with the step and action he planned to approached dealing with his little enchantress.

You can't domesticate a free bird who already tasted the p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e of freedom. You can only extend your arm as its safe haven for it to keep coming back and eventually and hopefully, will settle on with for good.

After a long silence, Rawlf gently and sincerely said, 'You can always ask for my help. I'm at your disposal. '

'Hmm.' Veronica no longer no what else is there to say. Both of them knew something deeper was happening building an intangible connection between them. It's too blissful that both decided to take p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e in each other's embrace, nothing their usual l.u.s.tful d.e.s.i.r.e for each other but rather a more intimate and deeper soulful connection both couldn't understand but yet but were tring to slowly accept.
