What In This World! Oh... Wait A Minute. It's Another World.

We had just arrived at the magic school after finding out about a possibility of the country going to war.

"Dawson may trust you to stop this war, but I am not so sure such will be so easy." (Carmen)

"This world is way different from earth, we get a declaration of war about twice a year, however, it never goes anywhere. So trust me, Carmen, it won't this time either." (Ernest)

"Really, that often?!? Then why did the butler need to teleport to tell you?" (Carmen)

"Because we have to deal with it quickly, or we will have to deal with a few small skirmishes before we stop the full-scale war from breaking out. I have a policy to always keep as many people of No-Shew-Add safe from harm as I can." (Ernest)

"Okay, now I understand." (Carmen)

"I still can't get over that name though, No-Shew-Add? Why such a name? I know that it has a meaning in the old language, but it still sounds weird." (Dawson)

"Yeah, that's true, but it is just the name that our country has. I could change it, but don't want to without the people's support. And because the meaning carries a prophecy, many-a people want the name to stay the same until and or unless another comes up with a new prophecy for this country, then they would be willing to adopt the name to fit the new prophecy." (Ernest)

"That's understandable."

This conversation was on the way to the principal's office. While we were walking, many students recognized us, or at least my father, and bowed as we passed, in response my father, Carmen, and I nodded our heads when we saw this. Once we arrived at the office, we were quickly welcomed.

"What brings the King and his children out to see us? I know the inspection is nearing, but I would never have thought that our king would do it himself, and moreover, bring his children with him to do such." (Shi)

"We are here for no such reason," a few laughs escape him, "I just wanted to bring these four to apply to the magic school, Carmen with Ariko as her personal bodyguard, and Dawson with Harrold training as his." (Ernest)

"Ah, I see, my apologies for assuming seeing as neither the Prince nor his fiancé is yet an a.d.u.l.t, you will both start out in the pre-training classes, then after you have achieved your 'God's Gift' you will be moved to the formal magic classes, now seeing as you both were able to circulate your mana quite well, you will be able to start as soon as you wish, however, Mr. Harrold, I will first need to see you perform the affinity test to see if you two will be able to join the classes right away, or if you will need to wait till the start of the new term to start in magic training." (Shi)

"I understand Ms. Shi, I will do my best." (Harrold)

We go to do the affinity test for Harrold, and for some strange reason, rather than seeing an element, the crystal shatters. We all stare in shock.

"BUTLER!" (Ernest)

The butler just appears out of no-where just like before.

"Yes, sire?" (Butler)

"Please fix the crystal then do the test for our friend Harrold yourself, it seems the crystal couldn't handle his capacity." (Ernest)

"Understood." (Butler)

He simply waves his hands in a circle and it is as time rewound for the crystal, thus it seemed to repair itself.

"Now Harrold, do the same thing you did with the crystal, just do it to my hands instead, I am able to be much more accurate than that thing anyway." (Butler)

"Understood," then following instructions given. (Harrold)

"You seem to have the dark element at the God level, that would explain what happened to the crystal, seems this was your 'God's Gift'. I also see that you have all the elements, all but void and dark are in their 'Simple' stage, and void is in its 'Master' stage." (Butler)

"WHAT!" (Shi)

"Well that's quite the gift, I hope you will make good use of that power." (Ernest)

"Wait, I also see a handicap on his power… He must have a live wife to be able to use his powers beyond the 'Master' level, so as of this moment, his mana is still at the level of being a God of one element and a Master of another, but he can only use Master level spells of both." (Butler)

Harrold breaks down crying. Upon such, Ariko rubs his back as if to comfort him.

Between sobs, "I'm sorry... I just…. It hasn't been… long since I….. Lost her…" (Harrold)

In a soft tone, "You have no need to apologize, If anyone should apologize, it's the butler, for reminding you of her." (Ariko)

"I, sir, do apologize for that," bowing his head. (Butler)

With a smile spreading across his teary face, "You need not apologize, it will just take me time to get used to life without her, I'm just glad that his Majesty has so graciously allowed me to stay in the castle rather than having to go back home." (Harrold)

"Well, it is more convenient for my personal guard to live at the palace, isn't that right father?" (Dawson)

"That is most correct Daw-Son," said with a big grin.

In response to my father's method of referencing me, I rolled my eyes. The butler disappears again.

"Well, Harrold will most definitely begin with the young prince, so how soon do all of you wish to start?" (Shi)

"Well, Miss Shi, I believe I speak for all of us when I say, if possible, today?" (Dawson)

Harrold, Ariko, and Carmen give her an affirming nod.

"Well, there is a tiny bit of paperwork, Could you three follow me? Ariko, I assume you are here for the sake of being her bodyguard and have already received proper prepositional training?" (Shi)

"That is correct Miss Shi." (Ariko)

"That's good, you will not have to take this test." (Shi)

"Test?" (Dawson)

"Yes, Young Prince, the exam to see what classes we may or may not need to teach you… Sir Harrold, sorry to ask this of you, but are you literate?" (Shi)

"Yes, Miss Shi, I am… I'm the one who did the bookkeeping and made sure that whatever deals we were getting from those who bought our food was sufficient." (Harrold)

"Okay, then I assume you all will be able to take this test." (Shi)

"That's correct as long as it does not need casting of magic." (Dawson)

"That's the only thing this test does not test, is magic capability, that is tested within the class environment." (Shi)

We then took this test. It consisted of what most of the U.S.A. learn by the 6th grade in math, English, and science. The test also had a history of this world along with No-Shew-Add, all the questions before this were a piece of cake, yet these questions were impossible for me to answer with exception to one. That question was "What does the name No-Shew-Add mean in the ancient language?" which was easy due to that having been already explained to me. We all completed the tests around the same time and handed them to Shi. She then put the tests into a device that gave her four scores, three of them for both me and Carmen were 100 whereas the remaining was 5 (seeing as there were 20 questions in each section, I am guessing that was what percent we got). Harrold got 75, 25, 10, and 60 as scores in his exam.

"Well, I see that neither the Young Prince nor Princess needs anything but history. Harrold met the minimum in Math, but still needs more training in the other three." (Shi)

"I think it's to be expected that we don't know your history, due to the world we come from, however, the rest of the material is normally learned by the age of 14 where we come from." (Dawson)

"Well, most schooling here is probably to the same standard, however, it normally ends by the age of 13 to 15, so that's why you know more advanced material than what is on the test." (Shi)

"Okay, that makes sense." (Dawson)

"Well, if you will follow me, everyone, I will lead you four to the homeroom class you will be in." (Shi)

"Does this mean we are already enrolled?" (Dawson)

"Yes." (Shi)

After that, we followed her through the halls and did not receive nearly as many bows due to father not being there and not nearly as many people recognized me nor Carmen.
