What In This World! Oh... Wait A Minute. It's Another World.

Since introductions were now over, we went and sat in the sixth row. The order we sat in was Harrold, me, Carmen, then Ariko, followed by an empty seat then Letitia.

"Now that introductions are done, let's finish our review for the test tomorrow... Letitia, please tell Ariko what we are studying, so she can help Carmen with the material, Manson I'll put you in charge of helping Harrold understand the material, and Dawson, I'm sorry, but I'll be matching you up with the student that tends to get the most off task, so please help him to stay on task, and he will help you to understand the material... Franklyn, please work well with Dawson." (Mister)

Letitia nodded her head along with Ariko.

"That should be no problem." (Manson)

Said in a somewhat mocking tone, with a salute to boot, "Yes sir!" (Franklyn)

At Franklyn's response, both Mister and I rolled our eyes.

"If it is possible to keep one as him on task without the use of magic, I will do my best sir." (Dawson)

"I thank you, Dawson." (Mister)

With that, the class broke up into groups of two to four. Of the four of us, we divided into three groups: Ariko, Carmen, and Letitia; Manson and Harrold; and Franklyn and I. Carmen's group seemed to hit it off well right away, Manson and Harrold acted like the old friends they are, and Franklyn and I, well, lets just say it was a challenge.

"Hello Franklyn, I hope our partnership of studying works well." (Dawson)

"Save it, I know you are the prince, but remember, Miss Shi told us that we are not to worry about formalities on school grounds, so I plan to treat you like everyone else. Many say I'm rude to those I don't know, and that may be true, but it is just who I am. Don't act nice to me until you know whether you truly want to be friends with me or not." (Franklyn)

Said with a small hint of annoyance, while concurrently carrying much confusion in the tone the words were spoken in, "Well, I feel you have a misinterpretation of why I said what I did. I was not just trying to be cordial, I was just being myself, and I earnestly want to make this work since we were partnered up." (Dawson)

"Okay, well if that's the truth, then I will give the amount of effort it seems as if you have given to that accord, that is what I call giving equal respect." (Franklyn)

After that short conversation, we got straight to work. I noticed that whenever we did lose focus, it took me getting us on task for us to continue, but it was not because Franklyn brought us off task, it was just because he was unwilling to refocus the conversation. He talked about whatever you did, and told you whatever you asked whether it be about the task at hand or not, so someone who has trouble staying on task could not work with Franklyn, however someone who never gets off task would have a hard time seeing why people say that Franklyn gets off task way too easily.

We continued studying like that for another half hour or so, then it was lunchtime.

Clapping his hands, "Attention, attention everyone," everyone stopped what they were doing and looked to the front of the classroom. "Thank you, the four who just joined us today, due to you not having a schedule as of yet, you will return to this class after lunch to chat with me about a few things, other than that, the class is dismissed to lunch... follow your schedules from there." (Mister)

After that, all the students started talking with one another, we could even join in the conversations like our presence was the norm. When we went to have lunch, the four of us ate together alongside the ones who assisted us in studying. Darling also joined her husband and us. We all talked about the material, ourselves (both the new and the old students), and the other students. We even sometimes joked about Harrold and Ariko being involved romantically.

"Yeah, I think Harrold and Ariko would make a cute couple." (Darling)

"Wait, I never thought to ask this, but how old are you Harrold?" (Dawson)

"I am 30 Sire." (Harrold)

"I've told you already, call me Dawson, especially while we are on campus," then with a wink, "also, 4 years, yeah I could back that." (Dawson)

"Okay, I am willing to call you Dawson, but I am not yet ready to move into another relationship." (Harrold)

"Did you hear that Ariko, he only said not yet, that means you have to convince him." (Darling)

Mildly blushing, "He means that he's not ready for any relationsh.i.p.s yet because of his wife, so trying to convince him would be pointless." (Ariko)

"Oooh! So you admit you do want him?" (Darling)

"That's not what I meant." (Ariko)

"But you aren't denying it." (Darling)

To that Ariko simply blushes an even brighter shade of red.

"Alright... I think that should be enough teasing, for now, just let her be, to stew on her emotions." (Franklyn)

Said with a bright grin, "Okay." (Darling)

Carmen, Harrold, Manson, and I look at Franklyn with suspecting glances.

Once lunch is over we part ways. Carmen, Harrold, Ariko, and I head back to Mister's class. Darling, Manson, Franklyn, and Letitia go to their respective classes.

"Welcome back Dawson, Carmen, Harrold, Ariko... I wished to talk to you about why you chose to start learning magic... as our afternoon classes are based on what knowledge you need rather than a structured curriculum, this knowledge will help with making minor adjustments to your schedule if you may need them." (Mister)

"Well, I can't speak for all of us, but I plan to learn firsthand about this world. I wish to travel across the lands and find out for myself what this world has to offer... and along the way, I wish to be able to protect all who may travel with me as well as those I may encounter that can't protect themselves." (Dawson)

"Wow, well then I think that the best courses for you would be a combination program of the SD program and the ADV program." (Mister)

"SD I can assume stands for Self Defense, but what does ADV stand for?" (Dawson)

"ADV is shorthand for Adventurer." (Mister)

"Okay, then you're right, that sounds perfect." (Dawson)

"Carmen?" (Mister)

"I wish to be able to be where Dawson is and to be able to protect him and those he wishes to protect when he can't, I also wish to learn more, so I can help in other tasks." (Carmen)

"Understood I would put you in a minorly different program base, I will explain more if you like later. Harrold? What about you?" (Mister)

"I am training to be Dawson's Personal Guard, I only wish to know what is necessary in that regard." (Harrold)

"And same with me for Carmen, I have been through the butler's personal training, but wish to do what would be needed for me to be a good guard for Carmen." (Ariko)

"Alright, Harrold, you will be in most of the same courses alongside Dawson, however, there will be a few that you have apart. And Ariko, you will be in all the same classes as Carmen." (Mister)

In unison, "Understood" (Ariko & Harrold)

"Well, we are done here, so you four have two choices... go home for today and be here by the time the sun has completed a fourth of its cycle tomorrow morning, or show yourselves around the school until classes are let out then do the first option." (Mister)

"What do you want to do Carmen?" (Dawson)

"I want to browse around the school, and find out what's where." (Carmen)

"Ariko? Harrold?" (Dawson)

"That's up to you, I don't really hold an opinion either way." (Harrold)

"I will follow Carmen regardless, but I would like to see a bit more of this school." (Ariko)

"Well, Mister Mister, I guess we will be exploring the school." (Dawson)

"Okay, Ariko!" (Mister)

"Yes?" (Ariko)

"Please be cautious of barriers you four may be able to pass through, they are put there for protection purposes, if you pass through one that you don't think you could protect everyone from the potential fallout please make it clear to Dawson." (Mister)

"Understood, thank you for your advice, I will make sure to follow it." (Ariko)

"Thank you, Mister and Ariko." (Dawson)

"No problem, making sure my students are safe is part of my job anyway." (Mister)

"You took the words out of my mouth, except I would have replaced 'my students are' with 'Carmen is'." (Ariko)

"Well then, let's go." (Dawson)

After that, we started exploring the school.
