What In This World! Oh... Wait A Minute. It's Another World.

With a blank expression, and a distant tone to his voice, "W-W-What? Shhhhhe did what!?" (Sorcerer)

Speaking like it was no big deal, "She became a goddess of light, honestly, she made every one of her breakthroughs in one go." (Dawson)

The sorcerer just sat there with a blank expression, seeming not knowing how to react to this information. Now I know I was acting like it was no big deal, but to be honest, I'm just as surprised as the sorcerer looks.

After I waited for about a minute for the sorcerer to react in some way, I realized that the sorcerer was not likely to react any time soon, so I just walked away. I decided to go to the dining room to get myself some dinner.

When I arrived, a maid welcomed me.

"Young Prince, what can I get for you today?" (Maid)

Before answering I looked around to see that only her and I were in the dining room.

"Do you know if my father has gotten his food yet?" (Dawson)

"Yes, he has... Earlier he called for a maid and asked for some food, then after receiving the food asked not to be disturbed." (Maid)

"I understand. Thank you, I guess I'll just have whatever the chef wants to make for me." (Dawson)

"Understood, I'll go inform him. Will you want it in your room, or in here, or somewhere else?" (Maid)

"I'll be going to the gazebo in the garden, please have it served there." (Dawson)

"Understood." (Maid)

The maid curtsied then went into the kitchen. I then turn around and head to the gazebo.

Once I arrive at the gazebo, I notice that where Chandra fell asleep there is a weird shadow with her shape. I immediately turn to go get the sorcerer, hoping that he will be where I left him.

As soon as I arrive in front of Carmen's room, I see that the sorcerer is still there in a daze.

"Sorcerer, I need your help," I said grabbing him by the shoulders. (Dawson)

Shaking his head, then looking me in the eyes, his eyes turn serious, "What do you need?"

"Please follow me, there is something I wish to show you." (Dawson)

We go together to the garden. There I show him the shadow that is still there.

"Is this where Miss Shawl was standing?" (Sorcerer)

"Yes, this is the exact position she fell asleep in. I went to get you since I figured that this probably had to do with magic, and you are the royal sorcerer." (Dawson)

"That was good, there are only three that should come to mind for you in such situations whereas you are not at school. Those are myself, your father, and the butler. Now as for what is going on here, did she recently gain a darkness gift from a Goddess of Darkness?" (Sorcerer)

"Yes? But how did you know this?" (Dawson)

"Well, that is because this is something that can happen as an after effect of that. This is her soul's shadow form, and she can live without it, but her spirit can't control her body without it. So she cannot communicate in any way, all of her motor functions will not work. She won't even be able to control her mouth, eyes, or anything." (Sorcerer)

Probably showing that I was starting to panic, "You mean..." (Dawson)

Cutting me off, "That's only if we leave things as they are right now... however, thankfully, I can use dark magic." (Sorcerer)

He starts moving his hands, then a little after he does that the shadow starts to follow the exact path that Carmen took, position and all. He follows the shadow, and I follow him... opening doors for him along the way.

We eventually get to Carmen's room, and the shadow ends up lying in Carmen's body.

"Now to bind them back together." (Sorcerer)

I see a different type of shadow loom over Carmen. This shadow comes from the ceiling and slowly descends over her. Once the shadow comes in contact with her, a little bit of light forms where she and the shadow are touching. The shadow then slowly dissipates and the light slowly covers her entire body. Then suddenly, the light vanishes, and all looks like nothing happened.

"Did it work? Will she be okay?" (Dawson)

"She'll be fine, She will likely feel a little hungry when she wakes up, but other than that..." (Sorcerer)

The sorcerer is interrupted by a maid walking into the room.

"I'm sorry, did I interrupt anything? I was not aware that anyone was here." (Maid)

"No, we had just finished. Please wait here for her, we'll be on our way." (Dawson)

The sorcerer nods his head to confirm my words.

"Okay, I will." (Maid)

The sorcerer and I leave the room. The sorcerer starts to go towards his quarters, then I call out to him.

"Sorcerer, thank you for your help." (Dawson)

"If you hold true to your earlier promise, there is no need for you or her to thank me... To me, such a gift is worth my life lived in servitude... in fact, there is not enough I could do for you to make up for the deficit." (Sorcerer)

"I will, and to me, and I bet to Carmen, what you did for her more than makes up the deficit... if anything, it is we who cannot make up the deficit." (Dawson)

"Thank you for such high praise, I, however, feel that I am the one... well... never mind... If I do that this may never end... let's just call this even after your gift because otherwise, we will never end this," he said with a pained smile. (Sorcerer)

I nod to confirm his words, then we part ways. I head back towards the gazebo.

When I arrive at the gazebo I see that the maid from the dining room waiting for me at the gazebo.

"Young Prince, I did not see you hear when I arrived. I hope that the food has not gotten cold. I tried my best to keep it warm for you." (Maid)

"If it has gotten cold, it is not your fault. I had an important matter to attend to, but regardless of temperature, I will eat now." (Dawson)

"Understood. Which seat would you prefer?" (Maid)

As she is asking that question I am walking around her and the table. I sit in the chair that both, overlooks the table, and without turning my head, can see the entrance of the gazebo.

After I take my seat, without another word, she serves my food. I also eat set food.

After I finish, I very genuinely say, "Thank you for this great food, give the chef my regards." (Dawson)

With a nod, "I will." (Maid)

"Also," I pause for about 5 seconds for effect, "I thank you for waiting for me. I would have been willing to serve myself, but you stayed and did that for me." (Dawson)

With a small smile, "It was my p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e... I really enjoy working in this palace, so I will do anything I can to thank the royal family for providing me this job... well... anything short of things I know you wouldn't ask of me anyway." (Maid)

"Well... If they are things that we wouldn't ask of you, then you have nothing to worry about, now do you," I said with a wink. (Dawson)

With a laugh, "I guess you are right." (Maid)

After that, I thanked the maid once more, then headed towards bed. Along the way, I passed Carmen's room, so I decided to check up on her. I lightly knock before even attempting to enter. I then wait a minute before cracking the door enough for me to softly say Carmen's name.

I notice no answer, so I enter quietly.

In a near whisper, "Young Prince, Miss Carmen has recently fallen back asleep... She had asked me to stay to let you know that she knows what happened, and thanks you for your help in the matter, and that she will follow through with the promise that you made to the royal sorcerer. She also told me to tell you that how she found out she will explain to you later." (Maid)

At the same volume, "I thank you for telling me this, I will talk to Carmen about it in the morning." (Dawson)

"No problem, I hope that the message helped." (Maid)

"It did." (Dawson)

The maid then departed. I stood there for a few moments thinking about what to do next. I decided to give Carmen a kiss on the cheek, then go to my room and go to sleep myself.

When I leaned in to give her the kiss, talking in her sleep, "I love you Sone." (Carmen)

I then kissed her cheek and replied, "I love you too Ramen." (Dawson)

I then went back to my room. When I arrived in my room, I decided to just hop straight into bed without even bothering to pull down the blankets or change my clothes. Today has been a long day.
