"Don't forget your end of our deal." (Adnal)

"I wouldn't dream of it." (Carmen)

With that said, Carmen handed the mini-light core to Adnal, who immediately ingested it.

After playing with the new light magic for a bit, "Thank you for the trade, all I lack now is earth magic." (Adnal)

"To bad I cannot help you there." (Carmen)

"It's fine, I will wait until I find someone break through to god realm in earth, and then offer them a trade that will suit them." (Adnal)

After those words were stated, she immediately disappeared from out sights.

"So... does this mean that Carmen will live to be 1,001,140 years old?" (Dawson)

"Not guaranteed, but she will age at a rate that will make it to where if she does not die for another reason, she will die around that age." (Ernest)

"What about Dawson, I don't want him to die before me." (Carmen)

"Remember my special 'Blood Blessing'?" (Dawson)

"Yes?" (Carmen)

"I can gain way more life expectancy than you have, as long as I fulfill its requirements." (Dawson)

"I know, but do you really think you can? I mean, I know that the first two tasks are a given," a rosy hue coming to her cheeks, intertwining her hands in front of her, "but do you really think that you can do all of them?" (Carmen)

"Up to Stage 8, I know I could easily do. Stage 9 I am unsure, and stage 10 is something I could never do." (Dawson)

"You could force someone you love to hate you?" (Carmen)

"Remember, it never said that I had to keep them hating me, just to make them hate me... I would do that when they were already angered with me, then after I had achieved the next stage, I would undo what I did." (Dawson)

"If it's like that, then... I guess I don't have to worry about either of us dying before the other, save some unfortunate event." (Carmen)

"We will live together as long as we are both alive, that I promise you Carmen." (Dawson)

After a short pause, sitting back down on his chair, "Well, Dawson, Carmen, Ariko, Harrold..." 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩, "I need a bit to fully wrap my brain around what just transpired in front of me, and recoup from casting that spell. Please go somewhere else for the time being." (Ernest)

We did as asked.

After we left the room, and were far enough from the door for father not to hear, "Dawson, do you two want us to stick around, or would you prefer us to go elsewhere?" (Harrold)

"Carmen?" (Dawson)

Carmen shrugged her shoulders.

"Do as you see fit." (Dawson)

With those words, Ariko and Harrold left, walking a little closer than I would have expected... '𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵, 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴?' I thought to myself.

--Ariko Faustina, after parting with Dawson--

Once we were out of earshot of Dawson, "I must say, I was honestly surprised when you asked me out... You have helped me so much with coping with the passing of Honey, that I never expected that the feelings I started developing towards you were reciprocated" (Harrold)

"To be honest, I held interest in you since I first met you. It just slowly changed from wanting to get to know you, and what makes you tick, to wanting to be with you." as I finished my statement, I grabbed his hand. (Ariko)

In response to my actions, I saw his face gain a pink hue.

"Still, I would not have pegged you for the romantically shy kind of guy. In every other aria you are direct and forthcoming, but when it comes to romance, you are like a kitten." (Ariko)

"I don't think 'like a kitten' really fits, should not it be more 'liken to a small child among many strangers'?" (Harrold)

Scratching my head with my other hand, "I don't think that's right either because different kids act differently." (Ariko)

--Dawson Sen, around the same time--

"Carmen, did you see what I just thought I saw?" (Dawson)

"Our personal guards are sure getting close, but is that a bad thing?" (Carmen)

"No, I was just making sure I was not seeing things... I am happy for them to be honest." (Dawson)

Grabbing Carmen's hand, "Follow me, I have a surprise for you."

"Oh? And this surprise is?" (Carmen)

"It's a surprise, why would I spoil it?" (Dawson)

She gave me a puppy dog look.

"That won't work, you'll find out shortly." (Dawson)

With a smirk hidden behind her puppy dog look, "But I wanna know now!" followed by a childish stomp on the ground. (Carmen)

"I see your hidden smirk, you are just trying to get me to tell you, but are actually happy that I'm doing this for you." (Dawson)

Giving a genuine yet bitter smile, "You got me." (Carmen)

As she finished saying this, we arrived in the flower garden, I took her to the gazebo in the midst. This gazebo was circular, had a round table in the middle of it with four chairs around the table, and had a moat with a bridge to access it. It was white, but the table was mahogany and the chairs were blood-red.

When we got there, I turned one chair to where it was facing away from the table and towards the bridge. I then asked her to sit in the chair.

"Now as for my surprise." (Dawson)

After that, I recited the below poem.

While I say this poem to her, her cheeks turn red, and her smile widens along with her eyes. As soon as I'm done, she jumps into my embrace crying. After crying for a bit, she calmed down.

Looking up at me, while still hugging me, "Thank you Sone, that was beautiful... did you write this?" (Carmen)

"Yes, I wrote this for you." (Dawson)

Burying her head in my c.h.e.s.t, "It was definitely a different way to do a poem, did you come up with that method too, or borrow it from another?" (Carmen)

"Well, I thought it up, and decided to try it, since I had never seen anyone else do such in the past." (Dawson)

I was a little surprised, she fell asleep standing up, leaning against my c.h.e.s.t. With this in mind I, trying my best not to disturb her, motioned a servant who was passing through over.

The servant looked like he was about to speak loudly, but then seemed to notice the situation, so very quietly asked, "What can I do for you young prince?" (Servant)

Just as quietly, "I was hoping you may know, or be able to bring me someone who knows a basic magic strengthening spell... I want to bring her up to her room myself, but know I have not the strength to do so without her help." (Dawson)

"I know that the royal sorcerer is still here, and knows such spells... I'll go fetch him right away." (Servant)

"Thank you sir." (Dawson)

With a wide smile, "No need to thank me, I work for your family anyway," then he directly departed. (Servant)

I stood there, making sure Carmen didn't fall or anything. I couldn't help but smile while seeing her asleep. After about 5 minutes of standing there, the royal sorcerer and the servant walked up.

Gesturing towards the servant, in a quiet voice, "He told me what's going on... I have just the spell for you. This spell tends last about 10 minutes, if one goes beyond this, they tend to exhaust their mana." (Sorcerer)

Nearly whispering, "That's plenty of time, what do I need to do?" (Dawson)

"It's simple, focus your magic on your muscles, then try to move your muscles with magic alone, not using your brains signals at all." (Sorcerer)

"I understand... let me attempt this." (Dawson)

I started focusing my magic on the muscles in my arms and back, I knew I already had the leg strength. After a while, I could feel my muscles twice over. I was thankful that I knew which sensation was the normal, and which was the magic. I ignored the normal in those arias, and tried using the magic side to lift Carmen into a princess carry... very appropriate if I do say so.

I was successful in getting her into that position without waking her. After that, I started walking towards her room, making sure to keep the magic flowing through my arms. It only took me 7 minutes to make it to her room, which the two followed me along the way. The servant opened the doors along the way, including the door to Carmen's room. After arriving in Carmen's room, I lied her down on the bed. We both quietly exited her room (The sorcerer stayed right outside the entire time).

Not loud enough for the sound to reach through the door, "Thank you both." Turning to the servant, "Neither of us have eaten dinner yet, can you please have someone on standby in case she wakes up, ready to get her food if she is hungry?" (Dawson)

"Yes sir, right away." (Servant)

Calling out to the servant, "One moment," I hand him a Gold Coin, "Take this, as my way of thanking you for your help." (Dawson)

Shaking his head, and trying to hand it back, "No I couldn't possibly." (Servant)

Pushing his hands back, and talking over him partway through the word couldn't, "I insist, or would you rather I just bring you to my father and ask him to give you a raise?" (Dawson)

Putting the coin against his c.h.e.s.t, "I accept, thank you, your highness." (Servant)

Shaking my head, "No, thank you," gesturing towards him with my chin when I say 'thank you'. (Dawson)

He then goes, I assume to get a maid or someone to make sure Carmen gets food if she is hungry.

Turning towards the Sorcerer, "Now for you. What is the element you lack again?" (Dawson)

"The light element, but why does the young prince wish to know this?" (Sorcerer)

"I ask because that was the element I thought it was. I shall ask Carmen to grant you the element of light... After all, she did recently become a light goddess." (Dawson)
