Who Said A Mosquito Can't Cultivate?

Chapter 8 - Useless Physique

Now that I think about it, I just chose the nearest field to the village and went on to suck blood from the animals there. I could also just go beyond the field and find some docile animals and suck their blood as well, right?

Well, to be honest, that's not how I roll. I'm very lazy and trying to make every side be happy is something impossible for everyone, except for some pretty rare instances.

What I'm saying is that I don't feel that guilty for s.u.c.k.i.n.g the blood out of 3 animals that came from that couple's field. I needed the blood to grow and become stronger to avenge my brethren, and their animals were the closest ones to where I was born.

Then again, it would be bad to just leave and focus on my improvement without knowing the conclusion of the problem, the problem being the fact that the couple was at a loss of what to do.

Buzz...Whoosh!

With my Constitution reaching 0.30 thanks to my bloodline being improved, I could fly three times as fast as my original body before s.u.c.k.i.n.g blood, only taking me a few minutes to get to the field and find the couple that were somewhat arguing over the dead animals earlier.

As I arrived at the field, I could see two people dragging the corpses of the carabao and the horse that I s.u.c.k.e.d the shit out of, which both died due to severe blood loss.

Although I was surprised by the fact that the both of them died due to my super succ abilities, I didn't think of it much back then. But now that I'm looking at the effect it has on humans, I have to wonder, system, how much milliliters of blood is equivalent to a point of Impure Blood Energy?

Surely, with a point being equal to 1 milliliter, I would've been able to suck tons of points out of them.

Ding!

But that wasn't the case.

'A point of Impure Blood Energy, depending on the living being being s.u.c.k.e.d from, ranges from a ratio of 30 milliliters to 250 milliliters. It is inevitable for the living being to die if the user is engrossed in s.u.c.k.i.n.g their blood.'

...well...haah.

With that kind of number, it would make sense for the animals to die. It also followed up with the next sentence, which is also true since the second horse I s.u.c.k.e.d only stopped being s.u.c.k.e.d after I maxed out the Constitution skill, only bringing into a severe condition.

After asking the system about that, I then shifted my attention to the two people who stacked the two corpses on top of one another, before bringing a torch from who knows where, lighting it up, and then using it to burn the corpses as they let out a sigh.

Now that I got a closer look at those two people, although their voices sound like they come from middle-aged humans, their appearances were not so. If I were to guess their ages, they'd probably be at their sixties or seventies already. Well then...now I feel a bit more guilty than before. I might help them out in the future if I become stronger and have a way to turn human, but for now, I'll focus on my body first. All deeds shall be paid in the future.

"Haah..." The old man could not help but sigh as he looked at the corpses burning in front of them. Of course, who wouldn't sigh after their livelihood was killed just like that. "With two of our animals being killed by who knows what, we might just have to exert a bit more effort than before. Is that alright with you, Hua'er?"

Hua'er, who I presume is the old lady beside the old man, responded with a sigh as well. "Haah...I don't mind that our animals were killed, but I just wanted to know the reason why to be honest. Who knows if the reason they were killed last night was because of some sect disciples doing a mission or something."

Hearing the term 'sect disciples' coming out of the woman's mouth solidified the fact that the world I reincarnated into was a world of cultivation. Although the system told me that I could cultivate to greater levels with a high enough Constitution stat, it might just be a unique thing from the system and not something that is prevalent in this world. But with these words, my belief was now solidified.

"Who knows, Hua'er," the old man placed his hands on the woman's shoulder and patted it a few times, comforting the woman. "Anyways, let's go to work."

"Un." The old woman looked at her husband and gave a soft smile before grabbing hoes for the two of them to till the fields.

After doing so, the two of them went towards a plot of land that they haven't tilled yet and raised their hoes up high, closing their eyes at the very second their raised it up.

I wonder why they closed their eyes. Were they praying to some sort of farming god or something before tilling to have a greater harvest?

Turns out, that wasn't the case.

As I continued to look at the two to find out the conclusion, I gradually felt an aura coming out of them that grew stronger by the second, circulating throughout their bodies before heading towards the hoes they held.

Not long after, the metal end of their hoes started to glow a faint silver and blue respectively, piquing much more of my interest as my excitement soared to a peak.

Of course, in a world of cultivation, qi is something that can never be removed!

Ding!

'Qi Perception stat has been unlocked. Due to the user not having their own qi, the limit to their qi perception stat is 10. This stat can be improved by absorbing blood of special living beings.'

'Current Qi Perception: 1'

Just as the thought of qi existing in this world flashed through my mind, I received a notification from the system, telling me that I obtained a new stat: the Qi Perception stat.

And man does it work wonders.

As the two of them swung their hoes towards the ground, I could see the qi from their dantians course through their body before heading towards the hoes, infusing the grounds they were tilling with their own qi!

To think that qi can also be used in this manner. Well...then again, qi is an all-purpose energy, so there's no reason to be that surprised.

But with me seeing the conclusion all the way through, my mind was now at ease and excited. I just can't wait to unlock the usage of qi!

Buzz...

Not long after, I flew back towards the canopy where I awakened my bloodline in. I was planning to start tinkering with the Body Refinement feature I acquired.

Just like how I headed towards the fields, it only took me a few minutes as well to get back to the canopy. Surprisingly, no animals went near the canopy I awakened in, nor did they get close to the tree as a whole. Were they surprised by the bloodline aura I'm emanating?

As I unlocked the Qi Perception stat, I was able to perceive an intangible aura emanating from my body. The feeling of my aura was akin to a hole of darkness filled with blood and blades. Then again, that might change if I awakened my bloodline even further.

I settled into the canopy, making myself comfortable before commanding the system to open the Body Refinement feature.

Ding!

As the holographic screen appeared in front of my face, I was instantly bombarded with multiple things to upgrade.

________

Body Refinement

--------

Physique Level: Useless

Effective Constitution Multiplier: +0%

--------

Parts:

Eyes (0/1) - 25 points to upgrade

Antennae (0/1) - 25 points to upgrade

Proboscis (0/1) - 25 points to upgrade

Torso (0/1) - 25 points to upgrade

Wings (0/1) - 25 points to upgrade

Limbs (0/1) - 25 points to upgrade

________

Holy shit. This Body Refinement feature is more in-depth than I thought. Although there is only one level of upgrade for each part, I assume that the benefit it would give is pretty substantial.

Especially at the fact that my physique level is useless.

With a bloodline like mine, how could I settle for a useless physique?

It's time to suck more blood and show the system who's boss!
