She and Rong Jian were not in the layer of people close to the surface and were somewhere in the middle, along with Muo Jeng and Elder Yu. 

The rumbling continued as the roof of the cave scraped the wall and outstanding rocks as it dropped down. 

Shen Tianyu couldn't see above her very well so she didn't know about those huddling around under the raised platform but she could tell the people near her were tense. The arm that held her felt quite relaxed though. Shen Tianyu herself unconsciously gripped onto the ŀȧpels of the man holding her.

BAAMM!!!

The roof of the cave seemed to collide with the platform as a large noise echoed throughout the entire cave, causing a ringing in Shen Tianyu's ears. There was a yelp from someone above, probably from the loud noise as there was no follow-up scream.

'I'm going to go deaf at this rate from this one Ruin.' Shen Tianyu glared above her. 

"It seems to be good now." Yun Tianhao echoed downwards as he got out after the ones with lower cultivation level. 

Everyone inside the hole got out in order without rush and without conflicts. The ground was now littered with rocks, big and small. The roof apparently could not win against the platform and broke into pieces upon collision. 

Rong Jian set down his Wifey on the ground. Shen Tianyu looked around and up. There was no light spilling into the cave but even when she craned her neck, she couldn't see what was covering the top of the cave. 

'Was it something like a false top?' She wondered as she cracked her joints. Everyone else wandered around or sat down to settle their hearts. 

"Well... It looks like we only found one other path, let's go through there and see." Shen Tianyu said, dusting her hands.

Though her voice wasn't loud, everyone gathered together and got into formation. Marching through the second stone tunnel they found, they emerged back at the same cave with the sealed demonic beast, but this time closer.

"Looks like we're not getting out of this one..." Shen Tianyu muttered, holding her chin as she looked on.

"This will be troublesome indeed. We don't even know how to defeat it. Of course, we could just brute force it but we can't go about this recklessly either." Muo Jeng was on Shen Tianyu's other side, his hands behind his back like an old man.

"I'm more surprised that it didn't wake up from the roof falling down. Are you sure it's not dead?" Shen Tianyu tilted her head in Shao Wei's direction but kept her eyes on the demonic beast.

"Well, it's back is slightly moving so I ȧssume it's breathing, and Hereford, alive." Shao Wei answered.

"Hm… Then let's go over the general formation first. We can discuss in more detail while waiting for people to break the seal." Shen Tianyu suggested. 

Noises of agreement from behind told her they were fine with it so she shuffled over and put her back against the wall. Rong Jian pivoted so that he could keep an eye on the demonic beast and pay attention to her at the same time and Muo Jeng did the same.

"Okay. So, the main question is: Will the new ones be participating? If so, what role will they have? If not, where should they be?" She asked them for their thoughts.

"I personally think the new recruits should participate. This is supposed to be an experience-building exercise after all. And they aren't weak enough to have to sit this out. But they also aren't powerful enough to take the front so maybe just have them as rear supports or protection for the Medical members and Ancient Script members." Yun Tianhao voiced his thinking and looked around for more suggestions. .

"Hm… I think it might be too soon for them to fight against a Poisonous Earth Dragon. It's not really as if they went extinct but that they were driven away. And even cultivators from the Golden Age were having trouble so our new recruits…" One of the older members disagreed. Despite all they went through his clothes were still neat and smooth, not a single crease or wrinkle seen on them. He was wearing a simple  guan1 that gathered up his hair.

"Hmph! Since they're here, they should participate too! It's not often one gets to fight something like a Poisonous Earth Dragon! We don't need weaklings in our organization!" Another senior member folded his arms and proudly proclaimed. His muscles were clearly visible through his clothes, not that they were very loose anyways. He was wearing tightly-fitted clothes used for exercise or training here.

"Denied. Both idea and reasoning." Shen Tianyu immediately shot him down.

"Huh?! Why?!" He asked as his face twisted in shock.

"They just recently got initiated and not all of them are at the same level. Humanely speaking, it's still too early for them to fight high-level demonic beasts at this stage. Logistically speaking, they'll cause our fighting ability to be all over the place and hard to strategize or plan. Financially speaking, they're more likely to get injured and we need to conserve our medicine when we can since we can't make extra in this place." Shen Tianyu detailed her reasoning and the guy fell silent, scratching his head.

"So. Right now, the main opinions are: Don't fight or have them as backup, right? Anyone else?" Shen Tianyu ignored him and addressed the others. 

No one else stepped out or voiced any other opinion, they merely shuffled in place and rumored their support for either side. 

"I personally agree with Tianhao. If we want them to gain experience and get stronger, we can't just protect them from everything. What do the elders think?" Shen Tianyu put down her opinion and asked the elders who were standing quietly on one side. Small crown; can be worn by princes or nobles & has various styles.
