Wild Young Miss: Mister, Let's Kiss!

"Please forgive me, Young Master Xi!" Shuddering uncontrollably, Richard Sun bowed his head deeply as he acted out of instincts. 

No wonder Matthew Xi said those words, 'don't touch what's mine', the first time they met. Actually, it only came to Richard Sun that that business meeting wasn't their first encounter. 

Even before that, they had met: DS Mall! That time when he had caught Zoey being intimate with someone whom he had assumed to be a stranger she just dragged to hide from him. 

Richard Sun might have an inflated ego. However, he wasn't dumb enough not to connect the dots. Zoey must have said something about him to Matthew Xi, giving him the idea about his constant harassment towards her. 

If only Richard Sun knew that Zoey had bewitched this man, he wouldn't have acted that way. Alas, there was no need for regrets because it had already happened, and Richard Sun was already in this dilemma. 

Indeed, a dilemma. 

Richard Sun finally understood the reason Matthew Xi agreed on this project — it was obvious; ZOEY. It was a clever way to fix his woman's problem without tainting his name. 

Regardless, Richard Sun's career — no, the whole Sun Corporation's future had already set their foot in Matthew Xi's clutches. They were now walking on thin ice, always cautious because one wrong step, it might break causing everyone's downfall. 

This deal... it shouldn't be something to celebrate about. That was what Richard Sun realized tonight. This project had become his worst nightmare. 

Matthew Xi gazed down at him, showing no remorse as he let him stay in that stance for a minute. "People might see you, raise your head." Matthew Xi said, retracting his gaze from Richard Sun and returned it to the lively light posse. 

Well, Richard Sun didn't touch Zoey — just, almost. Still, Richard Sun just having the thoughts of luring Zoey to him was enough reason for Matthew Xi to end him. 

However, that wasn't Matthew Xi's style. He was not that kind of person. Actually, he slightly disliked people who took advantage of their privileges without any justifiable reason. 

He was just upset that Zoey was ignoring him. She invited him as her date to this event, yet she wasn't even talking to him, knowing full well that he knew no one. That was just unfair... it's their first date, after all. Thus, he was venting his frustrations on this lamb who sacrificed himself voluntarily. 

"Young Master Xi, I — I didn't know Miss Zhou is your woman. If only I knew, I... I wouldn't have caused her any trouble. Please overlook this matter. I will definitely heed your warning this time." Mustering his courage, Richard Sun slowly lifted his head as he begged for forgiveness and mercy. 

It might be a pain to him. But in front of Matthew Xi, Richard Sun could only consider himself as a peasant. Before Matthew Xi, he was no big shot just like what thosr people inside the hall regarded him as. 

Moreover, even though his defeat over Zoey was painful, Richard Sun could only grit his teeth as he conceded. One of the things that he had feared had happened; Zoey had managed to enchant Matthew Xi. He no longer stood any chance. 

"As long as you remember my words, we won't have any problems." said Matthew Xi, letting out his frustrations with a deep exhale. 

"Yes, yes, Young Master Xi! Thank you very much!" Grateful at his response, Richard Sun diligently bowed his head again. 

"Also, don't speak anything about me." Matthew Xi added, nonchalant at the diligence of the freak, or so what Zoey called him 

"Yes, Young Master Xi. I know that you don't like causing an uproar that's why Zo — I mean, Miss Zhou —" Nodding his head profusely, Richard Sun spouted nonsense in one go. 

"She doesn't know either." Alas, Matthew Xi interrupted him as he let him in on this little secret of his. 

Like a fool, Richard Sun could not speak a word as he stared at Matthew Xi. He blinked and blinked, but he couldn't understand this simple sentence. 

"I'm not asking you to keep my secret from her. However..." Not looking away from the light posse, Matthew Xi paused as he gulped. "However, you're the only one who knows this. Therefore, I'd know if someone told her before me." He resumed, contradicting his previous statement indirectly.

In other words, Matthew Xi was telling him not to tattle, right? He just indirectly threatened him, right? Such heavy burden right after Richard Sun saved his life from the brink of death. 

"I won't speak a word, Young Master Xi. I will definitely keep your trust." Despite feeling the weight that was cast upon him, Richard Sun still sounded grateful. 

If this was a secret from his friends or other people, Richard Sun would think it was too shallow. However, the person before him was Matthew Xi. 

No matter how shallow the reason or this secret might be, it would still result in destruction. Now, Richard Sun was not just walking on thin ice alone. He was walking on a thin ice while carrying a huge rock called Matthew Xi's not-so-shallow secret. 

Shortly after, Matthew Xi wordlessly left the garden as he assumed Zoey and Professor Meng's private talk was done. He only gave them a room for privacy and avoided being approached by contemptuous people. 

When Matthew Xi returned inside the hall, his brows knitted as he looked in Zoey's direction. Some people had joined their little circle: Ezekiel Tang and his fiancee! 

However, what displeased him more was Zoey. By the looks of it, she had totally forgotten his existence as she was laughing heartily. 

'She's really bringing out the worst in me...' He whispered internally, having the urge to end everyone's career; a mass execution! However, the next second, Zoey's loud boasting somehow reached his ears. 

"That's so nice of you, Miss Wei. However, my sweet, elegant, strikingly handsome, sexy Ooh Lala! and dashing boyfriend has come along with me as my date tonight! Kyaaah~! I don't think anyone is as good looking as him in this hall. No, I mean in this world! No offense Mr. Tang. Bwahaha!" Zoey's voice resonated across the lively hall. It could even reach the heavens. Yet, it brought a smile on his lips. 

'Or maybe... not..' Matthew Xi whispered internally, resuming his strides as he headed towards his loud and proud Zoey.
