Wild Young Miss: Mister, Let's Kiss!

As Zoey cupped her blushing cheeks like a fan of some boy band daydreaming about her future with him, Clara Wei forced a gentle smile on her face looking at her. 

"I'm glad you've found someone, then." Clara Wei commented, glancing at Ezekiel Tang who was staring at Zoey intently. 

"Professor Meng will prove how handsome my darling is!" Giggling, Zoey shamelessly dragged the old man to back her up. 

Professor Ernest Meng coughed, shaking his head because Zoey was again in high spirits after their bet. At least, that was what he assumed the reason to be.

Little did he know, Zoey was purposely boasting about her baby Matthew Xi. After all, it was her first time attending an event with someone who she's romantically involved with and not her brother Zion Kwan

What's more was the fact that it was the perfect place to stir some trouble for this seemingly perfect couple. After all, Clara Wei was obsessed with Ezekiel Tang whereas no one could satiate the lust of the latter. 

Perhaps, this was Zoey's first and last gift to Clara Wei. Despite what Clara Wei did to her in the past, Zoey still felt bad for this couple.

"Mr. Xi is indeed very pleasing to the eyes." Clearing his throat, Professor Meng agreed. Since the couple was busy earlier with other guests, they weren't 'victimized' by Zoey's 'joke'. Hence, they remained unacquainted with Matthew Xi. 

"Mr. Xi...?" Upon hearing the man's name, Ezekiel Tang furrowed his brows. Meanwhile, Clara Wei also knitted her brows. 

The couple had the same thought immediately floating inside their thought bubbles. However, both had their own reasons not to conclude just yet. 

The Xi Clan was huge. Although the main family was rather small — having Matthew Xi as the only son and heir — their relatives and branches of the Xi clan was large. Therefore, they couldn't instantly assume the Mr. Xi who was being mentioned was Matthew Xi. 

"Yes! Xi Matthew!" Grinning from ear to ear, Zoey announced. However, this time the announcement received mocking scoffs from the people nearby. 

Yet, Clara Wei and Ezekiel Tang felt deafened by the name. Both stared at Zoey, surprised by the news. Still, they maintained their poise despite the huge shock. 

"Oh, here he is!" Having her Browny radar on, Zoey sensed his presence as soon as he approached. Smiling from ear to ear, Zoey skipped a few steps as she linked her arm with his. "My baby, where did you go? I missed you!" She complained, pouting her lips as she puffed out her cheeks. 

Matthew Xi, as usual, bore his stoic and aloof countenance as he looked at her. "Garden." He answered, pinching her cheek lightly. 

His gentle and sudden action took Zoey by surprise. Momentarily, she could not utter any natural teasing because of it. All Zoey could do was stare at him, blinking her eyes to confirm if she was flirting with the same person. 

For a second, the instant Matthew Xi laid his eyes on Ezekiel Tang, a sense of rivalry sparked as the two men's gaze met. No one sensed the silent clashed but the two. However, the next second, Matthew Xi broke the eye contact and forced the fakest smile ever.

"Congratulations on your engagement, Miss Wei, Mr. Tang. My surname is Xi, Matthew Xi of Xi Corporation." Perceiving Zoey's natural reaction as her play pretense, Matthew Xi turned to the couple and slightly bowed his head as he introduced himself. 

Unlike his overbearing demeanor earlier, Matthew Xi seemed to get the gist of his character and stooped down to normal human beings' level. Obviously, both Clara Wei and Ezekiel Tang were rendered speechless as they thought the person before them was the real deal. 

Well, it was not that Matthew Xi was lying. It was just that Zoey had misunderstood and now had dragged everyone to be a part of this misunderstanding. Talk about fake news — Zoey would be a terrible and at the same time, a terrifying reporter if she wasn't a businesswoman. 

'Young Master Xi...' Meanwhile, when Richard Sun returned to the hall, he saw Matthew Xi politely introducing himself. Richard Sun could not help but weep inwardly. 

After knowing Matthew Xi's little secret, Richard Sun felt he had a duty that none of these people should offend him. He felt the need to avoid any trouble that would challenge that man. Especially the Tang Family because they were essential allies for the Sun's. 

"Mr. Xi, we are grateful for —!" Falling in the 'misunderstanding', Ezekiel Tang and Clara Wei felt overwhelmed by Matthew Xi's presence and bowed their heads immediately. However, before Ezekiel Tang could end his sentence, Zoey's lazy voice interrupted midway. 

"No, no, no. You got it wrong. He's not that Matthew Xi, just the same name." Zoey informed, unwilling to laugh at the same joke repeatedly. 

"Huh?" Clara Wei and Ezekiel Tang let out a confused exclamation together in puzzlement. 

"The literal meaning. Hehe. Regardless, he's the only Matthew Xi that matters to me!" Zoey shrugged her shoulders as she flashed Matthew Xi a grin. "Right, my sweet brownie?" She added, winking at him. 

"Ah..." Nodding in understanding, Clara Wei and Ezekiel Tang chuckled awkwardly as they felt a little embarrassed. Yet, since they had to watch their humble image, they couldn't really express their displeasure towards Zoey's action immediately.

To them it seemed as if she purposely fooled them in order to embarrass them by using this man's name and have a moment where she could also stand among them. However, it was too much of a coincidence that this man had the same name as Matthew Xi and also worked in the same company. 

What was real? Was it really just a coincidence?

"Mr. Tang!" Just then, the confident Richard Sun approached their circle. He bore a large grin as he stopped near them. 

"Oh, Mr. Xi!" Scanning everyone, Richard Sun sounded strangely friendly as he settled his gaze on to Matthew Xi who cast him a cold side eye. 

"Mr. Sun, you know Mr. Xi?" Professor Meng inquired, looking at Richard Sun's direction. Zoey also stared at him innocently. 

Richard Sun was considered a hot shot in this event. Therefore, they weren't surprised if he was bragging earlier because he had something to brag about. However, aside from tonight's hosts, and their most important guests, Richard Sun didn't look at others because they weren't on the same level as him. 

Yet, he was overly friendly with Matthew Xi as if he had become his instant best friend. 

"No, actually, I just met him earlier. He's a very humorous guy, I like him!" Lying through his teeth, Richard Sun mixed the truth with a lie as he awkwardly chuckled and explained. 

Alas, his description of Matthew Xi was questionable through many angles. Not just Zoey's circle, but also the crowd turned their attention to the aloof and unchanging surface of Matthew Xi.
