Wild Young Miss: Mister, Let's Kiss!

Hours later, Zoey finally snuck out of the Kwan family manor where the aftermath of Zion Kwan's absence was taking place. Poor Sarah Zheng was in such a depressing situation because her son finally rebelled after years. 

Fortunately, Zoey escaped before she was dragged into the problem. Albeit, she had quite a challenging time doing so as Charlotte Kwan kept on bugging her. 

Good thing Zoey knew how to distract the young adult. Else, Zoey would be in the same annoying situation as the Kwan parents. 

"Jeez... Big brother Ion owes me a lot for buying him time." Zoey mumbled, walking her way to her car while playing with her keys around her finger. 

"Miss Zhou," Suddenly, Katherine Quin's voice assailed her ears from behind. 

'Just when I thought no one noticed...' Zoey grumbled internally as she rolled her eyes. Yet, Zoey feigned deaf and resumed with her steps without looking back. 

Seeing that Zoey wasn't stopping, Katherine Quin snorted as she took large strides to catch up with her; she even jogged to be ahead of Zoey. 

Therefore, just as Zoey opened the driver's seat, Katherine Quin slammed her palm against it, causing it to close back. 

Zoey arched her right brow, moving her gaze slowly to her side. "Five minutes, Miss Quin." 

"Where's your brother?" Without wasting her time, Katherine Quin inquired with her chin up. 

For a moment, Zoey sized the lady up as she narrowed her eyes. Unlike her demeanor earlier, Katherine Quin unveiled her fake demeanor and showed her true self. 

Now, this was more upto Zoey's liking — talking to a real person instead of a fake persona. Still, Zoey must commend Katherine Quin as she was quick to realize that faking it in front of Zoey wouldn't work. 

"I don't know, and even if I do, why would I tell you?" Cocking her head to the side, Zoey furrowed her brows as this was obvious. 

"Miss Zhou, don't you have shame?" Scoffing at Zoey's arrogance, Katherine Quin looked around as she smirked in satisfaction noticing no one was around. "I don't care if you don't like me stealing your spot. However, you do realize what will happen if your brother didn't show up today." Katherine Quin crossed her arms, raising her brows as if it would bring a dire consequence for the whole Kwan Family for this humiliation. 

"So, what?" Unfazed by her threats, Zoey blinked her eyes innocently. 

"Huh," Seeing Zoey's lack of interest and keeping her act, Katherine Quin scoffed in mockery. "Are you really this arrogant? Do you know our Quin Family —"

"Is associated with the Xi's?" Zoey interrupted her midway as she continued what seemed to be the main source of Katherine Quin's confidence. 

"So you know and are still acting arrogant?"

"Uh huh," Shrugging her shoulders, Zoey rolled her eyes as she chuckled. "I mean, how did you think I'd be threatened by a person who only knows how to utilize borrowed power?" In a matter-of-fact tone, Zoey remarked in ridicule. 

"Miss Quin, if you're so desperate to find my brother, please use your connections instead to look for him. Else, I'll treat this as an act of personal attack!" Zoey sighed, gazing at Katherine Quin in pity. 

Obviously, Katherine Quin's dislike towards Zoey worsened by leaps and bounds. Yet, she could only scoff momentarily as Zoey's words hurt her ego. 

"Don't you care about your family?"

"I do. But, if my brother decided, there's nothing I can do. After all, not attending tonight also means he is cutting ties with our Kwan Family. I couldn't blame him, though." Zoey sighed once again, pursing her lips together and smacked them together. 

"I mean, why would he marry a wild party goer who uses drugs, participates in orgies, and all sorts of — god, I feel like puking, I can't list them down without my stomach churning." Zoey placed her hand on her chest, casting Katherine Quin an obvious judgemental look. 

"Slander!" Agitated in an instant, Katherine Quin shouted as she ground her teeth. Alas, unlike her strong word, her frightened eyes betrayed her. 

After all, Katherine Quin's activities were all dealt with accordingly. If not, she would have been making headlines because of it. 

Therefore, despite how accurate Zoey was, Katherine Quin didn't scratch the possibility that she's bluffing. After all, although Katherine Quin hid her secrets well, words from envious young misses spread. 

Still, without concrete proof, rumors would always remain humors. Just like the legendary king of the business world, Xi Matthew, despite rumors about him circulating, there was no proof that he was gay. 

Thus, Katherine Quin was confident she could deal with Zoey if she has no proof — which Katherine Quin highly doubted she had. After all, those gatherings were private and not just anyone could spy on it. 

"Oh?" Unfazed by the accusation, Zoey fished out her phone from her handbag wordlessly. After a few clicks, Zoey held her phone shoulder level indifferently while the screen faced Katherine Quin. 

Katherine Quin's complexion paled the instant she saw a group photo with a few friends as they showed off the drugs they're using. The photo was clear, showing everyone's faces including her. 

"There's more I have here but you know, they're all disgusting; I feel like letting my phone stay at the temple for a month for holding such content." Zoey's voice laced with sarcasm, shaking her head as Katherine Quin was just a spoiled lady who was akin to a rebellious teenager. 

Even with the Quins equal influence as the Kwans, they wouldn't dare doing anything silly to the Kwans. After all, having these photos in Zoey's possession secured the Kwan's safety from trouble. 

After all, despite Zoey's deep hatred towards Zachery Kwan, she never has the slightest grudges towards Sarah Zheng and Zion Kwan. 

To her, they were also clueless victims of Zachery Kwan. Moreover, Sarah Zheng and Zion Kwan had been very kind to Zoey. Thus, Zoey wouldn't turn back on them. 

"Anyway, your five minutes are over. Don't worry. As long as you act accordingly you're safe." Winking at her, Zoey gestured to her to move aside which Katherine Quin did without a word. 

Pleased that the wild Katherine Quin obeyed like an obedient little girl, Zoey shook her head sideways as she hitched inside the driver's seat. Without further ado, Zoey revved up the engine and recklessly maneuvered it in reverse, causing Katherine Quin to jolt back from where she was standing 

"That woman...!" As she watched Zoey's car speed away, imagining Zoey driving with a triumphant smirk, Katherine Quin tightened her hand into a fist. "Now she's done it...!" She muttered, a malicious glint flickering across her eyes.

After an hour, Zoey finally arrived back to her house, albeit late. Checking her wristwatch, Zoey sighed as it was already past midnight. 

"He's probably asleep." Zoey muttered, slightly gloomy with the thought that Matthew Xi was already asleep as they have work tomorrow. 

"Whatever," She whispered again and strode towards the entrance. However, Zoey noticed that the lights in the living room were still turned on which made her smile. 

'Did he wait for me?' He giggled, thinking how sweet Matthew Xi was waiting for her. 

Having that thought in mind, Zoey excitedly opened the door and prepared her sweet 'I'm home~' remark. However, instead of saying those words, Zoey's jaw dropped upon seeing three figures around the living area. 

There, Matthew Xi was leaning on the wall on his side while Zion Kwan and Cora Ma perched on the long couch. It was not just them that shocked Zoey, but also the luggage on the corner of the living area. 

"Holy...!!" Zoey gasped in disbelief as she didn't want to assume that they'd eloped even though by the looks of it, they did!

"Your brother and bestfriend eloped.." However, just as Zoey hoped her assumptions were incorrect, Matthew Xi relayed the news in his monotone voice.
