Hours later, Zoey stared at the red booklet that had her and Matthew Xi's picture together. "We're married." She whispered, shifting her gaze away from the red booklet to the driver's seat. 

"We're married." Matthew Xi repeated, the side of his lips hooked up as he held his hand around hers. "Officially." He added, tilting his head towards the booklet her hand was holding. 

"Officially." Biting her bottom lip, Zoey smiled as her eyes sparkled in awe. "That soon." She added, thinking that their relationship status escalated that fast in less than three days. 

"Technically, you already knew me for seven, eight years." In a matter-of-fact tone, Matthew Xi shrugged his shoulders as he didn't think that their relationship was that fast. 

For him, it was rather slow as they missed how many years. If only he knew the woman seven years ago was her, Matthew Xi was certain they would have already gotten married even before this day came around. 

However, she left that night. Therefore, they missed those years of getting to know each other and had to meet seven years later in the most bizarre way. 

"Make sense." Zoey chuckled, shaking her head as she wasn't against how they chose marriage that soon. 

After all, she couldn't think of anything that could make her hate Matthew Xi. To her, she would accept any of his flaws just like how he compromised and accepted hers. 

Unless he cheated... Zoey doubted that would happen. Why? Matthew Xi had broken the record of having the longest rumor about his sexuality just because he wasn't attracted to women. 

Now that Zoey thought about it, she frowned. How could they question Matthew Xi's sexuality? There was no doubt he's a man, a horny thirsty man at that. 

He wouldn't even let her sleep peacefully as his sneaky hands would stroke her body. It was as if his needs for her were too overwhelming Matthew Xi needed her help to release it. 

"Don't frown. I'll misunderstand that you're not happy about your new status." Casting her a side eye, Matthew Xi muttered before he focused on the road once again. 

"Darling, who started the rumor about your sexuality?" Still bearing her adorable pout, Zoey inquired as she put down their marriage certificate on her lap. "It is obviously a lie because you're so horny I can't keep up!" She exclaimed in distress as she added her own opinion.

"It's because I rejected too many marriage proposals in the past." Matthew Xi answered, giving her the simple reason for that rumor. 

Although he too was uncertain how people concluded to that conclusion, Matthew Xi suspected it was because of that. After all, the blind dates his mother arranged him weren't that bad... as per the society's standards. 

For him, their looks weren't enough. They might look pretty, gorgeous, stunning, with a great social status, it was not enough to attract him. 

Some were also smart and worthy of people's praises, but romantically, they didn't pique his interest either. Only Zoey... she is the only one that has this powerful impact on him that he is deep in love with her. 

On the brighter side, the rumor indirectly helped him repel those who wanted to climb his bed. Still, the cons was some men were somewhat afraid of him because they thought Matthew Xi was interested in the same gender. 

Heck. He might propose services before signing a business contract with them. Considering Matthew Xi's standing in the business industry, he could get whatever he wanted if he wanted them. 

"Jeez..." Zoey clicked her tongue while shaking her head in disbelief. "Darling, what if I didn't leave seven years ago? What do you think would've happened?" Changing the topic suddenly, Zoey wondered. 

Since they were still on the subject, she was curious if their relationship would even progress after their one-night stand. After all, if Zoey remembered correctly, Matthew Xi said he paid the woman whom he thought he spent the night with and sent her abroad where he wouldn't see her ever again. 

"We would've got married." Matthew Xi answered without batting an eye. 

"Liar. You're being biased because you love me now." She frowned, sizing Matthew Xi up and down in dismay. "Will you also send me away just like what you did to the woman whom you thought you spent the night with?" Still bearing the same frown, Zoey mentioned the same scenario she remembered he said. 

"Maybe." Casting her a side eye, Matthew Xi shrugged his shoulders before they slowed down at the stoplight. 

"But I doubt you would have agreed to my terms." Facing her, Matthew Xi arched his brows as he gave her a knowing look. 

"Well..." For a second, Zoey raised both her brows as he made a point there. If Zoey didn't wake up early that day, she might not agree to Matthew Xi's terms. 

On the other hand, there was also a high possibility that Zoey would agree. Why? Matthew Xi just gave that woman he mistook, a large amount of money with which she could live comfortably for the rest of her life!

"Now, I doubt my doubts." Seeing her changing expression as she pondered, Matthew Xi shook his head before driving when the green light appeared. 

"Hehe. Don't be~! Of course, you will fall for me regardless of time and year." Zoey giggled, sprawling her arm and reached for his arm. 

"By the way, how is Aunty Xi?" Still smiling, Zoey inquired as Matthew Xi didn't mention that Vivian Xi already knew about their honeymoon.

"You don't want to know." Shaking his head, Matthew Xi recalled the mortifying messages he received from his mother earlier today.

"Madam Xi, isn't this a little..." Watching men transfer a whole container of baby products as if Vivian Xi was building a mall for babies, Olivia Tang's voice trailed off as Vivian Xi interrupted. 

"A little too much?" Vivian Xi guessed, arching her brows as she gazed at Olivia Tang. "Madam Tang, this is not too much for my first grandchild. After all, I think my grandchildren will arrive before the grand wedding. Hihihi~!" Thinking about the news she received last night from her son, Vivian Xi giggled as her energy surpassed hundred percent. 

She didn't waste time and immediately bought all her first grandchild's needs so Zoey and Matthew Xi could relax when she got pregnant.. Matthew Xi was right, Zoey wouldn't want to know what Vivian Xi had been doing because it would overwhelm her.
