Wild Young Miss: Mister, Let's Kiss!

"Hey—!" Pained by the tight grip that could break his wrist any moment, Ezekiel Tang was forced to let Zoey's hand go and he pulled his hand away from Matthew Xi with all his might. 

"You! What do you think you're doing?!" Enraged, Ezekiel Tang barked as he rubbed his wrist that left Matthew Xi large prints. 

However, Matthew Xi had already averted his gaze from him and shifted his attention towards Zoey. "You made me worried, why didn't you wait for me?" Low yet audible for their dumbfounded guests, Matthew Xi traced Zoey's delicate arm as he looked at her wrist as if he was the one in pain. 

Matthew Xi then ground his teeth, casting Ezekiel Tang a glare that was sharper than any sword ever made. "Do you know what you've done?" Although Matthew Xi didn't shout, everyone felt the world shake as his words carried such severity. 

Slowly, Matthew Xi gently let Zoey's hand go as he took steps towards Ezekiel Tang. "Hah! Are you mad that your scheme this time was sabotaged?" Unconscious by the change of air in his surrounding, Ezekiel Tang scoffed in mockery. 

"Mr. Tang Ezekiel..." As Matthew Xi approached, his eyes gleamed; his russet eyes turned crimson red like he was thirsty for blood. 

"Get away from my son!" Just then, Olivia Tang's voice thundered as she stomped her feet in front of her son. "What are you trying to do with my son?" Still bearing the same tone, Olivia Tang's glinted in rage. 

She saw what happened. Hence, she rushed her way here as it seemed these noble-like individuals were too stunned at the lack of tact Matthew Xi displayed. 

Olivia Tang had Vivian Xi as her backing. Thus, there was nothing to be afraid about. Especially in front of this 'insignificant' individual who was only lucky to have the same name as the head of the Xi Family. 

Unbeknownst to her, all the Xi family members and close business associates frowned with her audacity. They were already surprised, but why does this pair of mother and son couldn't recognize the most important person in this event?

After all, some guests like Senator Wang just attended this event because Matthew Xi would attend himself. Therefore, it was the best time to catch up with him and propose business proposals as Matthew Xi's schedule was twice as tight than most of them. 

Meanwhile, Ruby Xi whose lipstick couldn't conceal her paleness gulped a mouthful of saliva. Everyone saw how Matthew Xi treated Zoey and how he looked at her lovingly in that brief moment.. Therefore, knowing that Matthew Xi had a partner now, made her realize one thing: that woman was Zoey!

Shifting her gaze to Zoey, Ruby Xi gulped as Zoey was staring at her. Zoey's eyes didn't bear pity nor did it gleamed with mockery. She just looked at her, bearing no emotions as if Ruby Xi's opinion about her didn't matter. 

For a second, Ruby Xi felt the similarity in Matthew Xi and Zoey's eyes towards people they didn't care about simply carried indifference. It was akin to what royalties in the ancient time bore; royalties who were born carrying that natural radiance without even trying. 

'I... I made a mistake...' Ruby Xi unconsciously whispered inside her mind as it seemed she indeed acted rashly despite Zoey's warning earlier. 

On the other hand, Lucas Xi who found the drama amusing was rendered speechless. Aside from witnessing how dearly Matthew Xi looked at Zoey, and the fact that his long time question if he will be able to see his cousin angry had finally happened. 

However, Lucas Xi wouldn't wish to see him this enraged again. For some reason, Lucas Xi was relieved that Matthew Xi didn't come when he was trying to hit on Zoey... or else, LX law firm would surely lose their biggest client. 

"Mr. Xi, my son is merely exposing you so you wouldn't scam other people. You can see this as help because you might offend the other guests!" Sounding righteous, Olivia Tang justified her son's action as she raised her chin up. 

"Move." Without batting an eye, Matthew Xi looked down on her as if she was a mere pea that doesn't deserve any recognition. 

"Hah!" Utterly insulted at how Matthew Xi looked at her, Olivia Tang scoffed. In that second, she raised her hand that soon launched a slap on Matthew Xi's cheek. 

That very second, the already stagnant and suffocating air grew heavier. Gasps from guests resonated across the room as Olivia Tang did it! She slapped Matthew Xi without a second hesitation! 

Just as that resounding 'pang' thundered across the entire hall, Vivian Xi who just entered and witnessed what just happened stopped in her tracks. Her feet felt numb as someone dared to hurt her son. Not just that, but while she was on-site! 

Since Vivian Xi's mood went from zero to hundred, the level of anger she had never reached her entire life caused her breathing to grow heavier. For a second, Vivian Xi could only do was to stop her shaking her fist because she felt she was about to run amok and ruin the night. 

Zoey, on the other hand, had her eyes widened. Her gaze glued to Olivia Tang, her eyes glinted in a very dark desire she had long forgotten she bore in the past. That was to hurt somebody physically.

'No, Zoey... don't do it.' Yet, inside her mind, Zoey fought her inner thoughts of breaking Olivia Tang's fingers one by one. 

It was just that Zoey knew that that slap was unreserved and truly painful. It happened right before her eyes and she needed a clear head to make her judgment. 

"What do you think you're doing?!" Just as Zoey took an unconscious step forward, her body froze as a sigh of relief slipped from her lips upon hearing Vivian Xi's voice. 

"Madam Xi!" As Olivia Tang watched the enraged Vivian Xi approach, her shoulders flinched. "Mr. Xi and Miss Zhou were trying to scam people! But my son exposed them and now, they'd been violent so I had to teach him a lesson!" She summarized, obviously making themselves look good while pushing the blame of her actions to Zoey and Matthew Xi. 

"Teach him a lesson?" Hearing that word, Vivian Xi scoffed as she disregarded the eyes that were on her. 

Slowly, Vivian Xi raised her hand as she returned the slap that was twice as painful. "And who do you think you are to teach my son a lesson?" Coldness glinted Vivian Xi's eyes as she struggled to keep her emotion. 

The guests could only watch Olivia Tang in pity as Vivian Xi was the craziest person in here. She's infamous for her crazy actions and the blatant disregard for other people's opinions if people she cared about — most especially if her son was involved. 

Therefore, seeing Vivian Xi return the slap, no one was surprised as that's who Vivian Xi was. All they could foresee now was the Tang family's nearing end. If Matthew Xi could make the company go bankrupt, Vivian Xi would do more damage. 

It was a rare occurrence, but they stepped out of the line.. Now, there was no more future in the Tang Family and everyone around had a silent agreement to blacklist this family to avoid getting inflicted from the mother-son duo's anger.
