Wild Young Miss: Mister, Let's Kiss!

"You guys... how did you drag my darling into this?" Retracting her gaze from Matthew Xi, Zoey travelled her eyes to her employees who were grinning from ear to ear when they heard her inquiry.

Earlier, when Mel occupied Zoey's attention before they set out to Zoey's meeting with Manager Feng, Matthew Xi was ambushed by her employees outside Zoey's office.

[What exactly transpired two and half hours ago]

Matthew Xi stepped back at the two male employees approaching in full speed. However, their pace was fast, and before he knew it, they were already on his side.

"What do you want?" Being sandwiched by Zoey's two employees while others were around to stand as a lookout, Matthew Xi furrowed his brows.

"Boss," One male employee cleared his throat and chuckled awkwardly. "Err, can we have a moment with you?"

Matthew Xi stared at the awkward four-eyed guy. Upon brief observation, they weren't there to rob him or anything of the sort. Hence, Matthew Xi nodded yet remained unmoving from his position.

"Boss, I mean, where Boss Zhou could not hear. Mel is stalling her but this will not take long." Seeing that Matthew Xi didn't move an inch, the male employee leaned a little and whispered.

Little did Zoey's employees know, no ordinary employee could talk and act like what they were acting in front of Matthew Xi. No one would dare.

Yet, in this small office — at least, in his perspective it was small — they treated him differently. It was not like it displeased Matthew Xi. In actuality, it amused him as to what her employees were cooking up.

"Alright," Nodding his head ever so slowly, Matthew Xi followed the two to the corner, a little far from Zoey's office.

When they stopped, Matthew Xi slowly altered his gaze from the employees who gathered around him. For some reason, their eyes bore anticipation which he was unaware what was.

"What is it?" Without further ado, Matthew Xi inquired.

The four-eyed guy who seemed the one who led to ambush him scratched the back of his head. "Err..." now that they finally got Matthew Xi's attention, they finally felt ashamed and reluctant.

"Say it — they'll be done anytime soon." Sensing their reluctance, Matthew Xi glanced at the shut office door not far away.

"Boss Darling, can you do us a favor?" One employee spoke. Alas, Matthew Xi seemed to not process the rest of the sentence. Upon hearing what, they addressed him.

'Boss Darling?' Matthew Xi was so mortified that it rendered him speechless.

"She's been celebrating her birthday alone, and we never did something for her. So, we all agreed that whether Boss Zhou can find her Mr. Right, we wanted to do something for her." One employee continued. The rest of them then nodded and intently stared at Matthew Xi with expectant puppy eyes.

Matthew Xi felt a lump in his throat as he couldn't move on with that 'Boss Darling' remark. They could just ask his name and address him properly, but just like Zoey, he got a nickname even before he knew it.

"Boss Darling, we're all counting on you!" Despite that Matthew Xi didn't respond, they automatically took his silence as a 'yes!' Therefore, they thanked him and left just like that.

JUST LIKE THAT.

Matthew Xi watched them flocked away in glee. Why does he feel like a pushover ever since meeting Zoey?

Not just Zoey, but also her employees were all weird.

"Why did I even drop by here?" Matthew Xi murmured as the corner of his eyes twitched. Again, Matthew Xi rarely regret doing something, but today was one of those rare moments.

Regardless, thinking of the thought the employees had for Zoey, it somehow moved Matthew Xi. He was leading a biggest company in the country that also has international branches and many to mention subsidiaries.

But none of his ten of thousands employees had considered something like this. Well, who would want to surprise an intimidating and upright man like him?

One would need guts to do so... tons of guts, and a hundred times consideration.

"Zoey Zhou... what an interesting life she has." He whispered and slowly, Matthew Xi headed back to Zoey's office. He shrugged the address "Boss Darling" and reconsidered the request from her employees.
