Wild Young Miss: Mister, Let's Kiss!

Chapter 354 - Incoming Guests

"Let me tell you, your skills might be good — no doubt. But haven't you asked yourself why the agency you've been working for gives you odd jobs instead of using your skills efficiently?" Without looking away from him, Zoey stared at him sternly, her eyes glinting.

Milo gulped down. Her words obviously struck his weak nerves. "It takes years --"

"How many?" Once again, Zoey interrupted his words as she shoved her question immediately. "Do you think one year is enough? Two? Five? Are you confident to say that they will recognize your skills in eight years?" Zoey added, arching her right brow as she studied his youthful front.

"Milo, you're really smart but also naïve." After seeing his silent reaction, Zoey clicked her tongue as she shook her head in dismay. "Thing is, even if you're the best in the world, you won't make it. Why? Because the people who you want to impress, don't need you." She might have sounded harsh and judgemental, but she didn't want to hold back.

This was Milo's reality. Even after eight years, he wouldn't attain the position he dreamed of because of the truth he had been pretending not to see. Thus, he created a system virus out of rage and retaliation — proving that he was the mad best.

Should Zoey wait for that to happen? Obviously, she wouldn't. She already knew his potential, and waiting for eight years was not the best idea. After all, Inigo at that time would become untouchable.

Time was everything for her. Every day, she must gain something for a better future because her enemy was already preparing his schemes.

"Thank you for your kind words, Miss Zhou." After a minute of silence, Milo cleared his throat as he changed the subject. Slowly, he rose from his seat and looked down at her. "Till next time." Without a pause, he added and then bowed slightly before trudging away.

"Hey, how about we make a bet?" Not surprised that he was offended by her words, Zoey remained indifferent. She propped her jaw by the back of her hand, looking at his retreating back. "Your next 'big' mission will be joining a low-class gang where you'll be their errand boy, punching bag, and anything that will make you question your value as a human. A mission that has nothing to do with enhancing your skills." Although he wasn't looking back, Zoey explained the mission she recalled in their previous life.

Zoey remembered that Milo would be that gang's errand boy for years. He would suck up to them for years, just for a meager reward of being promoted as an office boy. Imagine the relief and horror of years of trauma just to be tossed as being an office boy instead of doing a greater mission that could save the country.

Surely, the level of stupidity that existed in this world was unimaginable.

Slowly, Milo turned around, staring at Zoey in dismay. "Miss Zhou, even if I will have such a mission, I won't be working for your small company. Never." Milo affirmed as his jaw tightened while his fist trembled by her oozing audacity to meddle with his affairs.

"But working for me is better — I mean, 'designing' stuff is better than being a human sandbag." Zoey stressed the word 'designing' as she shrugged, not a bit offended by his insult about her company.

"Sure. Whatever floats your boat, Miss Zhou." Milo was about to argue but stopped himself from getting more stress by her. "By the way, I take my words back. Let this be our last transaction." With that being said, Milo turned his back against her as he began walking away.

"Just call me when you need help or when you change your mind, alright?" Unlike the triggered Milo, Zoey remained jolly as she waved her hand until he slammed the door behind him.

"*Whistles* Damn… people really hate hearing the truth, eh?" Her shoulders quivered upon the loud slam of the door. "Anyway…" Zoey then shrugged her thoughts off as she returned her focus back to the document.

Slowly, the side of her lips tilted into a wide, bright grin. "Hehehe…" As she giggled, Zoey fished her phone out and dialed her contact in Feng Estate. The call rang and rang but to no avail; no one picked up.

Therefore, since Zoey was a kind angel, she sent the person who ignored her call a short message. "5 Billion… I know about it." A short chuckle slipped from Zoey's lips as she sent the Email.

After sending the Email, Zoey placed her phone above the folder. Both her hands held the back of her head as she leaned back languidly. Shortly after, her phone rang. "Hehehe." Zoey giggled again but she chose to ignore the call.

It took five failed attempts before Zoey finally picked up the call. "Yes?"

"Miss Zhou, what is that email you sent…"

"Oh! Mr. Feng, what an honor to receive a personal call from you!" Zoey feigned innocence cheerfully, glad that Jimmy Feng, the CEO of Feng Estate had bothered to call her; probably, his assistant rushed to him upon seeing Zoey's email. Well, not that it was a bad move as this subject should be discussed with the man involved himself.

"Miss Zhou," Alas, Jimmy Feng didn't share the same energy as his tone sounded more dreadful.

"CEO Feng, are you sure you want to talk about this on a phone call?" When Zoey sensed his impatience, she smirked. She got him under control. She could feel his anxiety from the other end of the line, which was what she wanted.

For a second, the line was enveloped with nothing but silence. "Meet me tomo --"

"Oh, I'm a little busy, Mr. Feng." Before he could give her a time for them to discuss it, Zoey interrupted him. "You know, business is flourishing very fast. If you remember, we have a set business meeting in four days. Why don't we discuss this then, hmm?" Without further ado, Zoey reminded him of an important date for her which he had earlier perceived with less importance.

Now, who would look forward to that said date? Zoey? Definitely! But this time, she wouldn't be the only one who was looking forward to it; Jimmy Feng would surely lose his sleep waiting to meet her.

"Alright." With that being said, the line ended and the smile on Zoey's lips grew wider.

"Uh, Sis… Boss!" Just as the call ended, Ivan suddenly barged in, correcting how to address Zoey inside the office. As soon as his eyes landed on her, he knitted his brows and slowly entered the small office before closing the door behind him.

"Sis?" He called out once again, studying Zoey's side profile.

"Ivan, when was the last time you used your fist?" Shortly, Zoey turned to Ivan bearing a smile which didn't match her odd inquiry.

"Huh? I don't remember — three months ago?" Unsure, Ivan pondered.

"Well, be careful later. I'm expecting some guests." Zoey still bore her smile, but oddly enough, Ivan could feel the thrill and threat lingering around it.

"Guests?"

"Yes. Those kinds of guests." A sweet smile formed on her lips, causing Ivan's expression to distort.

"Sis, that's not something to be happy about." Ivan sighed, shaking his head as her sister had become insane overtime.

Meanwhile…

"CEO Feng…"

"That b*tch!" Jimmy Feng's grip around the phone trembled, grinding his teeth at the audacity from the woman on the call.

"How did she --"

"Doesn't matter where and from who she came to know about that! What's important now is to make sure she doesn't say a word.. Send someone to scare that woman!" Jimmy Feng's voice thundered, making his assistant to remain silent as he bowed his head and wordlessly executed the order.
