In a fraction of a minute, Zoey clenched her teeth as her grip on the steering wheel tightened, pushing her back against the seat while stepping on the pedal harder.

The next second, her car barged inside the warehouse, causing a strong impact on her as they did so. Zoey held onto the steering wheel, trying to maintain its stability despite losing control over it.

Their car wobbled, crashing onto the old equipment inside. "Ahh!!" Ivan grunted, trying to fight off the gravity as the side where he was in, screeched, scraping against a huge machine.

Surprisingly enough, two of the police mobiles followed them inside. Since Zoey crashed her way in, the vehicles that were on pursuit had an easy way in.

Ivan realized that the warehouse was already abandoned. Aside from some old equipment left to rust and a few box trashes, there was not a sign of living habitat inside.

'F*ck! Did Niko scam us?!' Ivan grunted internally as Zoey finally got a hold of the wheel.

Meanwhile, Zoey who wasn't surprised to see it empty continued to find her way out. "Sis!" Just as Ivan was about to add more complaints, Zoey shushed him.

"Shut up. We need to get out of here." She uttered in dire solemnity, narrowing her eyes as she studied the closed back door.

"Ahh... sh*t...!" Ivan turned his head in the front, cursing as he realized the back door was more narrow.

Although the closed rusting metal door was closed and seemed flimsy, one the problem was their car wouldn't fit! Its width was narrow, but the height was high!

Secondly, even if Zoey would force herself out, its jamb where it was connected was concrete! Therefore, instead of getting away, they might get stuck!

If that were to happen, Ivan was a hundred percent sure that they'd end up behind bars. Worse for him, he'll be deported! Not that that was his main concern, but Ivan preferred flying back and forth in this country like a free man.

'...' Zoey ground her teeth, her hand on the steering wheel slightly loosened as she stretched her fingers. She glanced at the rear mirror, calculating the distance she had with her pursuers.

In her mind, the distance between her and her pursuers was good enough for her. It was enough room for her. When she decided which move to take next, Zoey inhaled and then exhaled heavily.

'Now!' She ordered herself internally.

Upon that command, Zoey released the accelerator, forcing her ride to stop in speed considerably by pulling the handbrake. Upon meeting the speed she prepared, Zoey didn't waste time as she shifted gears, put it in reverse mode, and then pressed on the accelerator again.

Everything happened within a minute. Neither the authorities on pursuit nor Ivan managed to catch up to the situation. The second Zoey sped in reverse mode, Ivan was nearly tossed in the front. Fortunately, he was buckled up securely. Or else, he'd be thrown out of the windshield.

On the other hand, Zoey continued to drive, looking at the rear mirror. She constantly glanced at both side mirrors from time to time.

Since she caught them off-guard, the police vehicle tried to reduce their speed. Alas, her vehicle was faster.

In a split second, Zoey's trunk collided with one of the cars. Since the police mobile tried to avoid her, only half of the front and back crumpled.

Both cars fought hard; the police car accelerated while Zoey forced it to back off. In a matter of seconds, the victor between the two was known.

Zoey's car continued reversing, their tires screeched on the concrete ground, producing thick smoke as they battled in force. "Come on..." Zoey murmured, stepping on the pedal harder.

Soon, Zoey slowly pushed the car crashing against her back; the screeching of the tires intensified as it tried to fight by forwarding. Alas, the next second, the driver who was maneuvering the police car sensed that his car was overheating.

It forced him to take his most regretful brake, letting the other vehicle to push it before speeding away. Meanwhile, the other car that followed inside crashed against the wall as they didn't have enough time to stop.

In the end, Zoey continued to speed away with a crumpled trunk, forcing the police vehicles to stop their pursuit. They still reported where Zoey's car was heading, to continue their pursuit of her. However, Zoey managed to lose them in the seemingly unending race.

"Sis, what now?" When Ivan was certain no one was following their tail anymore, he turned to Zoey. "Angelo wasn't there and..."

"We'll wait." Zoey muttered, stretching her neck as the impact earlier stressed her shoulders.

"Wait?"

"He's there and probably being rushed to the hospital. The police would take care of it." In a matter-of-fact tone, Zoey explained. She cocked her head to him, winking as she smiled after clicking her tongue cooly.

"Huuh?? He — Angelo was there?!"

"Sir, there's a man lying inside one of the boxes!" Just as the police that were driving the vehicle hitched outside after suffering loss from Zoey, one of his comrades approached and reported.

"What?" He knitted his brows, before rushing to where they recovered the man. Without wasting a second, he checked the man's pulse who was beaten black and blue after being tied naked

Upon checking thoroughly and feeling his faint pulse, the police ordered. "Call for medical assistance immediately! He's still alive!"

Without a second delay, one of them called for medical assistance, giving their exact location. Once again, one of them, who had surveilled the rather suspicious warehouse, approached the same person.

"Boss, look what I've recovered." He said, showing a white substance on his palm. "I'm not sure yet, but we need to investigate this place further." He said, implying that there might be more in this place than what it appeared.

The other police who seemed to be in much higher position among them nodded his head. "Send this immediately to the lab and search this place — turn it upside down if necessary. Who knows how many people or drugs are hidden here." He ordered the other men in uniform to which they saluted before they executed the order.

As they did so, the one who gave the order looked in the direction Zoey had sped away. 'What's the meaning of this? Did he purposely lead us here for this?' He wondered, breathing heavily as the pursuit also took a good amount of energy from him.

Either way, the police considered the vigilante's car and its purpose. There was a high possibility that Zoey led them in this place for it to be checked. Now, by the looks of it, this wasn't just an abandoned warehouse, but a place for storing illegal drugs.

"Gather people to look at the surveillance camera since the pursuit. The car was new and didn't have a plate." When someone approached him again, he immediately gave another order which was immediately executed with the highest priority.. "We need to find out who was the person driving that car."
