Based on Attorney Chan, Richard Sun reached him out and told him things: dropping the charges and wanted to settle things with Zoey. With their current feud, it rendered Zoey suspicious regarding this. 

What was he planning? Was this a trap? Knowing how persistent Richard Sun was, Zoey could not believe that he'll let things go easily. Of course, if it was true, Zoey would most likely to agree. 

After all, who would want dealing with troublesome people? Regardless, she could not believe and it's too good to be true. 

"Yes, Miss Zhou. I heard that the Sun Corporation is alledgely dealing with a multi-billion yuan project. Perhaps this is the reason he wanted to settle things with you." From the other end of the line, Attorney Chan informed from what he just heard. 

This news regarding the Sun Corporation project spread quickly today. Since Attorney Chan was watching the Sun Corporation — specifically Richard Sun's movements, he heard the news and delivered it to Zoey. 

"A billion worth, huh?" Upon hearing the worth of the project, Zoey's ear flap. No wonder he was suddenly dropping the charges against her. "It looks like that guy had someone to invest in their company." She uttered, the corner of her lips curling to a smirk. 

"Miss Zhou..." Her tone gave away some kind of mischievous vibe which didn't escape her lawyer's ears. Hence, he sighed heavily. 

"So in other words, the fate of the Sun Corporation is in my hands now?" Attorney Chan was correct. Zoey had a different take in this situation. 

In the lawyer's perspective, this was a great chance to get his client out of this mess in the most peaceful way. In Zoey's perspective, although she has a point, it was a point of view of an opportunist. 

Knowing Zoey, she wouldn't let any opportunity slip from her hands. What a woman! 

"Miss Zhou, you need to also consider that once this project failed because of your interference, the whole Sun Corporation would do anything to bring down the Z Image Group." Heaving a sigh, Attorney Chan reminded her of the crucial part. 

"My, my, Attorney Chan... I already know that. I just want to tease that mama's boy a bit more. Bwahahaha!" Zoey responded before she laughed evilly. 

Her lawyer could only shake his head before giving out more details about the settlement he arranged for tomorrow. After several reminders from the lawyer, the call finally came into an end. 

"Oh my, oh my," Still chuckling at the news, Zoey giggled while covering her lips from the back of her hand. What a pleasant news to end the day. 

Seconds later, the door slowly slid open. Her expectations didn't disappoint her because Matthew Xi's unconcerned and casual look blessed her eyes. 

"My darling~" Extra giddy, Zoey's lips stretched from ear to ear. Matthew Xi glanced at her lively mood as he closed the door. 

"Come, come! Give me a kiss!" Raising both her arms towards him, Zoey plucked her lips shamelessly. 

"I'll reheat the food — it gone cold." As usual, Matthew Xi only glanced at her offering lips before he scanned the room. Fortunately, he saw a microwave near the electric kettle and headed straight towards it. 

"My loves, why are you always so cold~? This patient is heart broken — ouch!" Being treated with the usual cold shoulders, Zoey pouted as she clasped her chest as if she was in pain. 

"You sound as if you're dying." As he placed one dish inside the microwave, Matthew Xi said. Although he seemed as nonchalant as ever, Matthew Xi just didn't know what to do. 

He felt awkward. The reason it took him too long to arrived — to be exact, he already arrived since half an hour ago. However, he stayed outside and hesitated. 

He was thinking if visiting her was the right decision. Arriving in there, Matthew Xi's determination wavered. Indeed, she made the ever decisive Matthew Xi, indecisive.

"That's because your coldness is freezing my heart to death!" Playing out the pitiful act card, Zoey argued which he replied with a complicated gaze. 

'Really, shameless.' Rendered speechless, Matthew Xi thought inwardly while staring at her award-winning acting.
