World Of Warcraft: Altered Time

Chapter 15 - Ragefire Part 2

A group of orcs had Whitehorn surrounded. A few members of the horde dead by his feet. Only two others remained. They were not gonna survive.

Before Azul could decide on a course of action. His skin started burning. His armor disappeared on his back. He forgot about the timer as they had traveled fighting troggs and the searing blade members.

"There is a face coming out of your back," Nocturne said. One could hear the disgust in her voice. Her sword was placed ready to strike. "Do I stab it or..."

"I have no idea," Azul said. His voice was strained as he gripped the ground. "Just wait a bit..." Feeling his backshift, he also felt his spine separate a little. It reminds him of being placed on the rack in hell. This was just slower. And not as noisy.

The face pushed against his skin. "Tear," his skin started to rip as the face came out. Its nose covered in gunk, face indescribable. Pointed ears that started to widen, somewhat flat like a humans. The head was to wide though. Next, the neck stretched up to the shoulders pushed out.

"Yup.. not gonna lie.. this sucks. Grab it and pull it out." Azul felt his head splitting. His vision was disoriented.

"I ... I think.. I am going to be sick.." Nocturne would have covered her mouth but thought better of it. Something told her to stay alert. "No way cant do it... I am gonna go fight the .. I am gonna help, Whitehorn." She tried but its face was to creepy. If anything she would have chopped the head off. "You will be fine no enemies nearby."

Turning to the side, Nocturne ran pass and jumped down below. "Woooh!" She yelled getting the enemy's attention as she chopped a body in half. "Thump," before the body fell her hands raised "Holy Light." She healed Whitehorn and the few Horde Orcs.

Up top, Azul had pushed his internal magic to cause the process to accelerate. He finally realized after the weirdness of it all. That the orc was him. Focusing the hands of the orc pushed down on his back to help itself climb out. Getting one leg out helped. It pushed and was free.

"Shit! This is grosser than anything." Azul touched the ground to help give the orc more support as it pushed off the ground with its foot and pushed off his back with its arms. Hitting the wall. "Ping," a few pieces fell. "Well.. that was.. unpleasant."

"Komu ty govorish." The orc muttered. "Vremya idti, chtoby pomoch' svoyemu drugu."

"What the blazes are you saying?" Azul rubbed his head and resummoned his armor top. "Ugh, this sucks. Where are your clothes." The orc mimicked his moves. Feeling his inventory get rifled through, Azul was upset. Then he stopped and composed himself. "Speak you, blathering nitwit. I better not have gone through that for nothing."

"Agg. Again with this. I am you stupid." The orc stared at him. Mimicking him for fun. His arm imitated Azul's and his footwork. "See. Check the blasted screen. IF we build a base, Ks can help us."

"Your stupid." Azul looked at him frowning. Looking at the screen he read over it quickly. "Right your me. That was stupid of me." Realizing his folly he stopped talking. "So Russian.. why?" He asked running his hand down his face.

"It was what you were thinking about at the time. Call me Vladmir. It is a fitting name I guess." The orc looked at Azul and they both gave each other a nod. In a few minutes, they were done passing information between one another. "So we are one in the same. Capable of independent thought though. Guess this was the same as giving me the ability to become an orc." Looking to Nocturne's status he saw she was fine.

"Yes. However, I am level one.." Vladmir said a little depressed. Light engulfed him and he was dressed in leathers. He also hit a level thanks to Nocturne killing down below. "Ok I was. We need to get me up to par. No limit of mobs in here for one thing. Ah, thats better. Shaman, Ranger, and Warrior." He moved to the side of Azul. "Let us go. Waaaghhh!" Jumping down the edge he landed on the side a slid a little. Seeing his target, he jumped onto a Trogg.

"Slick, slick," his arms went through the backside as he pulled out its ribs. "Eeekkk," the trogg screamed in pain. Planting his legs on the ground firmly, Vladmir turned and dislodged the trogg into another. "Waggh!" He was already on his way to the next. Orc savagery at its finest. And the blessing of Bane.

"Ha, taking all the fun," Azul said from up top. He shot rapid fire Flame Shock down on those near Nocturne. Never finishing blows though. Just to wound them and make it easier. He kept his guard up for any that may have come behind him, as the battle continued. "Nocturne do keep your health in check. Do not take any more risks. Calm yourself." Azul didnt want to belittle her or anything. He was worried about the debuff that flickered back and forth.

"Schlick," Nocturne cut a trogg in the waist. It didnt go down so she fired with an arcane bolt. "Hah!" The trogg was blasted away with a hole in its gut. Seeing that another group of them were coming she looked around. She had separated herself from the two horde orcs and the Tauren. Facing the incoming trogg's, she pulled her arcane power up and blasted out a wave of magic to slow them down. It didnt freeze, just wrapped a current of chilling wind hampering thee movements. It was to hot to freeze. She was also not that trained in that aspect of mage craft.

"Hah!" With that, she backpedaled to the group as quick as she could. In seconds she was out the thick of it. Not striking as she did so helped. Focusing on parrying made it much easier. Using the last of her holy magic, she healed herself then Vladmir. "Divine light!" The light magic poured out zapping away the last of useable magic. "Whew, thanks for the heads up."

"No problem," Azul said. Then finishing the mutterings of an arcane spell of his own, he targets the incoming Troggs. They were slowed down by the wave of magic from Nocturne just enough to put them close but not to close. "Arcane Missile!" The balls of magic went out hitting the Troggs in the feet and shins.

"Plt, plt, plt, it made holes making it even more difficult for them to run. To the creatures credit, they realized the mistake and turned to flee. They didnt get far. As in they only were able to turn around.

"Hi." Vladmir said covered in trogg blood. His face had guts dripping down it. As well as bone fragments mixed in his arms. The most terrifying thing was the smile on his face. You would expect to see that on a man who just bit into a amazing sandwich. Or took a sip of lemonade on a hot day. Not killing creatures. "Now where do you think you are going?"

"We.. we were just leaving. Please spare us." The trogg leader said. "Plt," an arcane bolt tore into his hip causing him to fall forward. "Ack, we are no threat to you."

"Swish, swish," Vladmir twirled the spines of two Troggs he ripped out earlier. The bones were quite strong and made for great weapons. He had been using them for the entire fight to his satisfaction.

"We have incoming!" Whitehoof yelled. He pointed towards a group of Searing Blade Enforcers. "Get back!" Whitehorn yelled at a trogg that took a swing at him.

"Slick," an axe passed through its back as the other horde orc nearby struck. "You must not show mercy or you will die Whitehorn. The same as my brothers."

"Yeah you guys are dangerous," Vladmir said. HE whipped the spines down. They curved in arcs embedding in the faces of the troggs. "Whack, whack," the bones were so deep that when he pulled back they were still attached to them. "I cant fight if you dont let go." Lifting up he swung the bodies down hopeing to dislodge them.

"Thump, thump," that didnt work. "Snap, snap," the spines broke. Vladmir looked at them annoyed. Grunting he threw the useless things down and ran at the other Troggs that tried to flee.

"Waaggh!" His warcry shook the cavern as he came behind them.

"Splurt, splurt," another two arcane bolts hit the other Troggs. The brief bit of impact causing them to fall down. "Thump," they slid into a part of the cavern.

"Oi whats all this then?" Vladmir asked coming up. "Slacking on the job. Tsk, tsk shame on you. Well, that tears it. You guys are fired." Raising his hands up he unleashed a torrent of magic.

"Fwooom," the billowing arcane energy reducing the Troggs to roasted corpses.

"Hah.. ha..ha.. stupid magick. To much for now. Back to smashing." Vladmir huffed a little winded. Turning he saw as Azul had shown up wielding his daggers. "Oi, give me the weapon. You use magic." Azul nodded and threw the daggers over. He then turned to go meet the incoming orcs with Nocturne. Vladmir looked and charged at a trogg in the back. "Your weapons are my weapons. Ahahaha." He laughed as he Wild Charged the trogg.

The daggers embedded in its side. Lifting it up he smashed down on the ground. "Boom," it echoed in the cavern. Before it could get up he smashed his boot into its head killing the creature. The searing blade orcs staring at him as he did so.

"You need to get your own, they are mine" Azul muttered. Seeing the orcs slow their approach he was skeptical about this. They looked to be up to something. "Whats all this then?" Giving Nocturne a once over, he saw she was composed and ready. Muttering a small spell he was ready as well. A Hammer made of light formed. He switched his armor to that of a paladin next.

"Thanks for your help," Whitehorn said next to him. I take it you strangers havent see another Tauren around hear have you? His name is Maur Grimtotem."

"Uh-huh. The answer to that is no." Azul said as he got ready. But the orcs kept looking at Vladmir. 'What in the blazes is going on? Nevermind that..who the heck is Maur Grimtotem? I know of Whitehorn, but not him in the info Ks has. Thanks to Nocturne killing the others were even able to get here.' Azul's thoughts focused on that as he tried to wrap his head around it. Then he gave up when he remembered there are conflicting instances.

Vladmir walked over and joined them. On his way a trogg had started to get up. He stopped and stabbed the dagger at the base of its neck. It died instantly. L.i.c.k.i.n.g the blades clean he stopped by the rest.

"So.. why are they just standing there," Vladmir said. It wasnt really a question. Just a wondering statement.

"Dont know. You go find out." Nocturne said. She felt a connection to Azul but not this thing she thought. It was not an enemy so she was a little relaxed. "Your an orc.. there orcs.. it will be fine. Maybe."

"Grr," Vladmir just growled at her annoyed.

"Now, now none of that," Azul said smiling. "We will both go. You stay put and talk to your.. the people you rescued." Azul was already walking over when he said it. Both he and Vladmir walked in synch scaring the heck out of her mentally.

"I cant change the daggers. So here." Giving them back, Vladmir picked up two axes from the dead orcs nearby. "They are not using, so mine now."

"That is true," Azul smirked. They stopped in front of the other orcs. "So what is it? Realized you cant win and want to surrender your lives to us."

"No. Why does he have no corruption?" The warlock in the group said. "All orcs have corruption. He does not. How he escape it?" The orc speech was off. It was either brain-damaged or something else was at work.

"Eh, I am a different orc. So no fel energy is in me." Vladmir looked at them puzzled. One of the axe's in his hands scratching against his face as he rubbed it. "Why?"

"Can you teach us? We no want to be like this. Force to be like this. Forced like Jergosh. Broken things." The orc warlock said. He was resiting something as he spoke. So were the others. They just happened to be cultist from the Id tag Azul saw.

"Oh, and what will you give if you are cured of the corruption?" Vladmir asked. "I am no good samaritan. I need something in return."

"We will serve. We are great casters. We can fight if need be. Just not that strong yet. But we will get there." A cultist said.

Vladmir looked at Azul and smirked. "You have to do it. That way no fel energy enters me." Vladmir did, however, create a parchment out of shaman magic and nature magic. At the bottom, he pricked his finger and signed in blood. He passed it to the orcs and watched as they signed it without reading it.

"Great just great." Azul felt a headache coming on. While they were doing that, he reclassed switching his rogue out with his warlock. "Ok we need to get started. This would be easier if there was a place with a lot of magic nearby."

"We know where there is some." The warlock said. "Lots of magical pockets. The biggest in center with lava flow. It is hot down there though. To hot."

"Hmm, take us to one of the others then."

"Very well. But you help other orcs then yes?" Another cultist asked.

"I dont see why not," Vladmir said folding his arms. "I think it will go a long way to helping my orc brethren." He had a smirk on his face showing an arrogant look. He used the whisper function to send Azul a message.

Vladmir: If you show resistance and annoyance, the orcs will be more indebted to me for helping. That way it should be easier for us moving forward.

Azul: Smart idea. How did you think of it?

"Very well then orcs. So be it. Just hurry." Azul said disgruntled. "Come on now. My time is as short as it is." Turning to call the others over, he watched as Nocturne had looted everything nearby. Despite the looks the two orcs and Whitehorn gave her. She was humming once again.

The orcs turned to walk away at a moderate pace. Once out of earshot, Vladmir looked at him. "You forgot my idea was your idea didnt you?" Seeing Azul suprised face he chuckled. "Hehehe you are worried to much. It is interfering with your thinking. Soon we will have that rectified. I hope anyway." He turned to catch up with the orcs and started a conversation.

"Heh, he is right. Wait I am right. Ughhh, this is annoying. I need a nap. No, I need a burger. A bacon cheeseburger would be so good right now. Or a good apple." Azul talked to himself as he moved forward. Nocturned already catching up. He didn't see the eyes of the Voidwalker in the area. It was outside his range and obscured by the magic around.

"Baconcheeseburger.. whats that?" Nocturne asked. "Its food right?"

"Huh, yeah it is." Azul realized a lot of the foods they didnt have here. HE would defintely see about recreating that just to have one. "I will tell you about it when we get home. Right now we need to focus on recovering."
