World Of Warcraft: Altered Time

Chapter 28 - The Undead are a problem Part 4 Funny work around the camp

"Uwuwu that suċkėd." One of the boys said. He stretched and moved about with his dangly bits on display. "I can breathe again!" His priorities seemed to be in order at least.

"I feel so ... normal." Another boy said.

"The memories.. it feels like a wall is in the way." A girl said. Her face twisting back in forth in relief and fear.

"That is true. It will come in the form of nightmares and dreams I am afraid." Azul twitched his nose as a breeze brushed against him. "That and therapy will have you right as rain in no time."

The smell of orcs were hard to miss. It was so Earthy and abundant.

"Azul!" Thrall called out from the side. Both he and his entourage heading over. Not wanting an incident so soon between forces. Azul's maybe green but they had the numbers from what reports said. "Everything going well I take it?"

"Well enough." The Undead looked a little restless and showed signs of fear. A "cure" was something they preached for the longest but to many were happy with the change currently. As well as the power it gave them. 'An Undead Civil War would be to my advantage, but Cooperation would be alright I suppose. A very thin one anyway.'

The control of the spell and the magic was staying with him of course. Why hand over such leverage?

"That is good." Thrall looked amongst the gathering of forces. Azul's matched them with numbers and then some. But they had the skill and tested warriors. The fresh armor and weapons amongst their forces did its job well. They really thought them to be all freshies with no experience. "Once more, we ask you to join the Summit."

"Myself... I think not." Azul shook his head in dismay. "Azazel is in charge of Sapphire City will attend. I have to deal with things still. Deatholme still has me worried."

It was not a lie. Storming the gates then bombarding the place from the outside was the plan still. Screw the magic inside. Better just to obliterate the place altogether and see what happened. But caution kept the area from getting ripped apart.

"I see." Thrall nodded in understanding. "Why are these children in a circle?" Sacks were tossed to them as clothes were found. They could be conjured up but the effects with the spell might cause an issue.

"Just curing the.. Affliction a little." Azul stared the Undead Leader Slyvanas down. "So, what say you now?"

"We will debate it over." Slyvanas stated. Did not go over well with Azul's people. "I will not force them into this. Some feel their is no going back. I have witnessed it myself firsthand as well as several others, but some will stay it is a trick."

"I see." Azul's eyes flared a little. He thought it over and was only by one thing. The Lich King's spies in their midsts. A possible Blitz attack to his region would unfold once it was known a possible weakening of the Lich King's forces was made known. "You have less than a month to bring those who wish to go through the process."

"We already have fighting on two fronts nearby." Corona stepped forward. "Can your.. Forsaken be trusted not to stab us in the back?" She voice the thoughts of most of those gathered. "Can you block the call of the Lich King if he exerts great effort?"

"We are not that weak!" Slyvanas stated darkly. She wouldn't let her people be belittled by wielders of the Light. To many run-ins with them in the past defintely carried a grudge. Especially with Arthas having corrupted so many. "We are not the ones you should worry about!"

"Do not start bickering." Thrall, always the level-headed one it seemed, took control of the situation. "Pressing matters need to be addressed. The Undead under Arthas direct control are festering in the Plaguelands."

"Tch!" Azul did not like the sound of this. The area of Deatholme was so close but he wouldn't divide his forces any further. "Then let's get down to business." Turning to the zealot, he sent her off. "Go and take several members to patrol. The more taken down the better it is for the environment."

They saluted and took off to do so. Azazel speaking with the 10 kids who returned from being Forsaken. Offering them a place in Sapphire City. The ages of each of them were defintely older than the physical body. It would take some Nature Magic or Time Magic to help accelerate the growth.

At the small meeting, most of the plans were put into motion by the Factions. However, they wanted to use Sapphire City as Resource Depot. That was denied outright with threats that those who came within the limits would be shot. .

The City was still developing, and the people came first compared to the various Faction personnel. Only compromise was that a small Inn on the outskirts could be used without much fuss. Standard rates were not negotiated down in the least.

.

Sometime later-

A few weeks passed by quickly enough. The Horde moving in the Eastern Plaguelands was stalled from a recent surge of the undead that appeared. The small detachment the Alliance sent with Prince Anduin were repurposed to participate. Only the personal guards remaining with the young prince.

Azazel having already invested a small bastion in close proximity just for political support was feeling the pressure. Every day and night he was pushing forward increasing influence in the area. Mostly his physical attributes increasing as the mana was spent to create more soldiers. Who guarded the city while the seasoned militia were used in patrols for 5 hours of the day.

Whispers that someone was leaking information causing unrest the second week. Ranks between the Factions were closed up quickly. Security tightened further between coming and going.

Azul having taken a break from his plans against Deatholme to help secure the area. Once information came to him about a possible undead wave pushing through. Demona & Nocturne keeping a close watch on the cities and people.

They would not be involved in the next group of activities the way everything was going. Which was finally a lawl for a bit. The Dawnblade were ready to move with him in attack soon. A very risky one at that.

Azul was lazing about in his Lynx form. Way to comfortable in the grass to get up and go to a bed. Stretching, his tail swished in the grass. Increasing the power of the Druid was paramount for the location.

Passing over a flower each time, it was an absentminded tick that developed in the form. Never hitting it at all.

"Meow?" A slight purr came out of his throat. His ears twitched hearing some small footfalls around the camp. 'Who can that be?'

A cloaked elf moved around the area silently. A few moved up behind the obvious female once he took notice of the exposed belly.

'Ok.... Slyvanas and a few dead rogues are skulking about. I wonder where they are going?' Azul's tail moved around curious. One of the rogues caught sight of the white Lynx and moved towards him. 'Whats all this now stinky?'

"Make a good coat with that white fur of yours." The Rogue whispered. Slowly his dagger unsheathed from his thɨġh. Azul stared at the rogue playfully. Licking his chops a little. "Cats to dumb to know its in danger. Heh, easy kill."

As the Rogue was preoccupied with his ȧssured success. Another undead signaled Slyvanas about their cohort.

'This idiot is gonna give us away!' Slyvanas shot into a sprint to grab the fool. Three leaps and she was right behind him. "Stop!" She commanded as low as possible.

"Huh?" The rogue turned to his leader. "What, good money here. When was the last time you seen a Lynx with a pelt like this?" Even dead, greed was strong in a lot of them.

"Never." Slyvanas shook her head in disbelief. Closer to Azul now, she marveled at his shiny coat that seemed to devour moonlight. An almost ethereal effect. The magic around made her ċhėst hurt. "That Lynx is to odd to be out here like this. Chances are, it belongs to one of "his" camps. Best move before it alerts them."

Sylvanas moved away. The further she could get away from the cat, the better. The other rogues following with.

"Tch, better not see you alone." The undead rogue clicked his teeth at Azul. A bit of green pus left his mouth. Wiping it, the rogue took off.

'What disgusting creatures.' Azul put his head down and proceeded to lay about. Up above, the moon continued to shine bright. Slowly, magic came down washing over the area. "Don't care what you are up to, but do not ruin my nap."

Images of various people moved about. The magic from the Moon allowing unsettled spirits to move around.

Only for Druid and Beasts however.

Understanding, the spirits moved away from him. Passing only a small glance before moving through the forest.

'Silly spirits.' Azul mentally scoffed as he dozed off. 'Just a quick nap before moving.'

As for Slyvanas and Company, they ran into serious trouble with their target later on. Almost costing their lives. Assassination always had the chance of going wrong in the worse of ways.

As time passed, Azul's ears started twitching more and more. The spirits nearby were restless. For good reason. Waking up, he shook a little taking on the Ranger Class. The book turning into a bow to use. A pair of daggers on his side. Throwing daggers down both legs.

"Come this way." He whispered. Several figures could be seen coming out of the surroundings. Each were of the Farstriders Faction. Lethvalin and Valanna were the ones he could understand from his own memory. But the rest of the Rangers were no names. Well, they had names but didn't trigger anything. "What the hell clawed most of you?"

"Zeb'Sora trolls.." The male, Lethvalin said. The others catching their breath still and tending to wounds. "They chased for days and forced into the Catacombs. Wasn't until a few elves raided the area we could escape. But a small cluster got the drop on us."

"I see." Azul checked over with K.s. regarding the matter. Reports about the Amani Catacombs had that listed as well as notes about a group of Rangers. Casting a small healing spell, they were able to breathe better. "Rest here for a bit then.."

"Wait, who are you?" Valanna asked. "Thanks for the help, but who are you?"

"Azul Lunastrider, these are contested territories that Silvermoon has not claimed yet. Well, cannot claim anyway." To say the Rangers were suprised to run into them was an understatement. Mostly shock at his easy demeanor and the fact he was dressed as a Ranger himself. "I am a versatile Elf, I know. Hard to wrap your head around."

"So rumors are true." The Rangers muttered amongst themselves. No reason to considering it was easily heard by one another with the ears. They were not for show.

As they recovered, Azul pulled out his bow and sniped Trolls that pulled out of the woods. The long draw boosting the magic-tipped arrows to take the creatures out.

*Shine!* The Druid teleportation circle lit up having finished. Out walked several Lynx beasts. The cats were tamed but had the full instincts of a wild Lynx. The Pride of cats went into the woods to drag the bodies back.

"Well, that was nice practice." Azul said to the Lynx Pride after the trolls were cleaned out. "Eat up three. Through the remains in a pile." They followed the instructions with gusto.

"Thanks for the help." Valanna said on behalf of the other Farstriders. "We will spread the word of the ȧssistance provided."

"No need for anything like that. Just make sure to stay alive and grow strong." Azul looked up as a few Pegasus Riders came downward. "My people will escort you back to where it is safer for you all."

"Are you possibly recruiting more forces?" Lethvalin asked. "We are well trained and can help." Seeing his confused face, it was best to explain a little more. "Your unification of the Elves."

It turned quiet after he said that.. Besides the mewling of the Lynx Pride anyway.
